  1. Sun’s “Sound Off” asks:
Should police be enforcing the law and shutting down these illegal blockades?
    1) Yes, it’s the right thing to do and would prevent violence
    2) No, we should turn a blind eye to First Nations breaking the law
Unfortunately, they didn’t include option (3) Meh, police should turn a blind eye to drivers who drive through illegal blockades.

  2. The indians are against ANYTHING that will provide jobs because that means they won’t have an excuse not to go to work.

  3. Loved this comment in the thread for the video:
Brian Mouland · Top Commenter · Great Plains College
Or bomb them with job applications that will make them scatter

  4. Nice piece of video, morons trying to stop an automobile from moving forward.
Kind of a shame the last guy fell off halfway down the street, if he’d hung on the driver could have punched him out in view of his little friends, but too far away for them to reach. That would have been -sweet-.

  5. Kate, there’s a schnauzer in the front seat of the ute (see Sun video at 0:07-0:12). A mere coincidence?

  6. I feel sorry for the driver because you know that the police will throw the book at them but on the other hand it has become obvious that the police will not enforce the laws against protesters no matter what they do. As citizens a lot of Canadians are simply fed up with those who seek to destroy our economy and way of life. It appears from the video that this driver was simply trying to travel down the street and the protesters were determined to stop them. While it may seem callous I’m not sure I wouldn’t have done the same thing. In this case it appears the protesters got what they deserved.

  7. If each vehicle attempting to drive through the blockade could go slow enough to just get one protester to hang on… problem solved!

  8. Did you know that if your dog runs into traffic and somebody hits it with their car, they can come after you for damages to their vehicle?
If the police have abdicated their responsibility to deal with people being in traffic illegally, what are we to do?

  9. Good. Bring it on. And did you notice how the doofus in the silver car just sat there, and didn’t take advantage of the opening the little trucklet had made?

  10. Why is that woman screaming?
She cant stand the sight of someone not blowing to their cheap intimidation tactics?
A bunch of masked assholes surrounding your car and your not supposed to feel threatened by this.. There is no law worth respecting when the government turns a blind eye to such intimidation..
One day somebody is gonna get hurt or even killed and the blood will be on the governments hands..

  11. Stop this euphemistic BS calling aboriginals ‘first nations’. They’re nothing more than the first immigrants. Stop shilling for the lefties.

  12. What happened here? I was brought up in a world where your actions have no consequences. Please, explain.

  13. These folks are tools of other Nations who want only to stop competition from them. Their the ones supplying the money. These folks are just sock puppets for the OPEC cartel , China, Russia & other Counties out to destroy our industry. So they pick the laziest , most racist group in Canada with victim status to use.
That they know our ever friendly( unless your a minority group) re-educated socialist police, will not touch

  14. I ended an “auto free Ottawa” protest some 20 years ago. The idiots blocked the road by putting their bikes across it, and they had police there as back up. They were slowly letting one car through at a time. When I got to the head of the line I warned them to get the hell out of my way or else. They got huffy so I drove over and destroyed three bikes, and everyone behind me followed. It only takes one to start it.

  15. Yes, “First Nations” is NOT a phrase that anybody should use. It is a political term and it is simply a lie. They are most certainly NOT “nations” and there is growing evidence they were not “first”. There is a theory that is gaining acceptance as new evidence gets discovered. The Solutrean-Clovis connection postulates that postulated that the Americas had been colonized by Paleolithic Europeans who were later wiped out by the interlopers who came over the Bering Sea ice bridge. Which would make those now claiming to be “First Nations” to be nothing more than carpetbaggers.
In any event, in the context of this discussion, it is long past time that every single one of these “protesters” who break the law, who disobey police orders to disperse or disobey a court injunction should be charged.

  16. “”RCMP behaviour suggests they are unfamiliar with the charter rights of a free press and the allowances those rights permit journalists while covering controversial and volatile situations,” CAJ president Hugo Rodrigues said.”
Yeah well welcome to how the rest of us feel.

  17. Yes, North of 60!
I do not, have never, and will not, ever, use the term “First Nations.”
Similarly, I refuse to use hoax phrases like “homophobia” “islamophobia” or “carbon footprint”.
In the latter instance even if you’re skewering a lefty hypocrite like Algore for his humongous “carbon footprint” you unintentionally help legitimatize these bogus concepts when you use the enemy’s linguistic weapons.
Step one in the cultural wars is to entirely eschew the use of masterful lefty agitprop lingo.

  18. Agree. They’re NOT “First Nations”, just Reserves, for Indians, not “Aboriginals”, or any other pc term.
Calling places like Attawapiskat and Fort Ware, “Nations” is an insult to every Nation on Earth. Rural slum dictatorships is more accurate.
The Indian activists don’t seem to realise they have “jumped the shark” and the citizens are turning against them.Scenes like that video are going to become a lot more common.

  19. Ya know, there are times when I like the way Quebec handles things.
Now, as far as this situation with the driver running the blockade is concerned, all I can say is….
    ….”NEXT!!”

  20. North of 60 has it right, these perpetual welfarists have no claim to initial residency-go google kennewick man-the indians around Washington were terrified that these remains would be studied, because it proved others were there before them. Sure enough, that was true.
Our own indians are little better than the paleswinians, mostly they destroy and befoul everything around them, the braves can only don ski masks and stand around burn barrels. Just a bunch of frauds.
Too bad Chief Louis of Osoyoos band is not listened to by the Conservatives.

  21. first nation===indian/tomahawk
    afro-Canadian===black/non-white
had to run a “strike line” about 48 years ago, cops said DO NOT STOP if you hit some one, keep going and they (cops) will take care of things. How things have changed, the crooks now get priority treatment.

  22. robw writes: “it has become obvious that the police will not enforce the laws against protesters no matter what they do”
Not quite; there are protesters against whom the police are happy, even eager, to enforce the laws. Those protesters, however, are never aboriginals. If you want to see vigorous enforcement, wander by an anti-abortion protest sometime.

  23. While it’s very tempting and probably exceedingly satisfying to floor the accelerator when one comes up to an illegal blockade of terminally idle welfare scum, it just sets up the person who does this for a lawsuit from the “severely injured” party. There’s no shortage of starving ambulance chasers in this country who’ll be quite happy to take a case like this to court and, even if one wins, one loses. It would help if law schools were being shut down in Canada given the glut of lawyers but instead we have new ones opening up so expect yet more parasites of the legal kind.
IIRC, there was a Conservative bill which would expand the powers of citizen arrest and that would be the proper approach to take. The blockade of the terminally idle is a clear violation of a constitutional right to mobility. So, for dealing with such abominations, it would be wise to put 5 large guys into an SUV, an equal number of baseball bats in case one has the opportunity to play ball (so include at least one baseball in the mix) and, when one comes across a gathering of the terminally idle blocking the roadway, deploy ones forces. Politely inform the swine that blocking the road constitutes a criminal offense and that they should disperse. Should they fail to promptly do so, inform them that ones group is making a number of citizens arrests and then use whatever force is required to make the arrests. The key is to first announce that a person is being put under arrest and then courts can quibble about whether or not excessive force was used in commission of such an arrest. One might even get a chance to use the baseball bats without fear of lawsuits since the criminal scum were resisting arrest. Considering that the HRGT routinely shoot and kill unarmed people in custody, there appears to be considerable latitude as to what is considered to be appropriate force in making an arrest.
True, such an action would require waiting for the regular police to show up to turn over the parties one has put under citizens arrest and it might just be a catch and release form of blockade running, but, assuming that a sufficient enough beating was laid upon the terminally idle during the arrest process, they might be very disinclined in future to stand in the middle of roads blocking them. There was a time when the police would have demonstrated the consequences of attempting to block roads, but now they are far more interested in being the protectors of political correctness. Citizens arrest is a valid option and should be used far more frequently.

  24. No one realize the obvious?
    That was self defence.
The police have served us taxpayers notice, at Caledonia, Idle no more and New Brunswick, that they will not enforce the law on thugs blocking public highways, openly carjacking, vandalizing other peoples property and assaulting citizens..
So when obstructed by such thugs,it is completely reasonable to fear for your safety, it is totally unreasonable to expect them to behave in a lawful manner and you know you will get no help from the police.
I too have no interest in being unlawfully detained, robbed or assaulted by thugs, advice to all, buy bigger trucks.
Any casualties incurred by citizens protecting themselves, are solely the responsibility of our police forces, their failure to serve and protect, enforce the law without prejudice and discourage blatant criminality behaviour is breach of contract.
Message to police chiefs, if you do not want to do your job, then quit, right now. Cause I see no reason to pay for non service. This political policing has another name;Treason.

  25. The law was broken the minute that protestor touched that car. The law is broken the minute protesters stop law abiding people from going about their lawful business. It is long past time for the cops to put an end to unlawful activities during “protests”. That game is over. Time for the cops to get on the side of the law abiding.

  26. Nof60 – my dad likes the term LWOIBO, pronounced lew-EE-bow. Last Wave of Immigrants But One. There are those that came before them (that moved on further south and east). There are those that came after them (us, from east or west). Having studied some of their legends in school I am comfortable saying that the cultural takeover that they’ve undergone is far, far nicer than they would have been to those who came before them.

  27. Politely inform the swine that blocking the road constitutes a criminal offense and that they should disperse.
