Oh, Fragrant Pony!

True North Report: Trudeau harboured a deeply illiberal admiration for Mao’s China… [In Two Innocents in Red China, he] described a fantasyland where prisons were lined with “fine fragrant trees” and where “the Chinese are recovering their human dignity.”

  1. Justin also mentioned how China is leading the world in green technology.
I suppose he hasn’t travelled to China ,as his Daddy, did, to see for himself.
There is only ONE way that the MSM will turn on their fetish,Trudeau, and that is if he denounces homosexuality unequivocally on national television, in both official languages.
Then they’ll try to claim he was drunk.

Of course killing 60-80 million people is clearly a joke when you are vying for the job of Prime Minister.
Obviously, with Stalin, Mao, Hitler as your inspiration; clearly, Trudeau should be touring the comedy clubs.

  3. don, exactly. It does not matter how much of an imbecile he shows himself to be, he is the press’s anointed one and The One they have been waiting for to lead Canada to the fairy dust nirvana.

  4. Lamentably true. Trudeau Jr. is by any standard an idiot. Pretending that China is going green for example, is simply ludicrous. It’s happy to make useless toys for the West, but has no intention of banking its industrial economy on these renewable things. Which is why it’s building two coal plants a week.
I don’t blame Justin in any of this, but I certainly blame the four fart-catchers sitting around the table laughing it off as a joke. You cannot shut down the CBC fast enough for me.

  5. ‘Oh fragrant pony’? Cute one Kate but we can be thankful Trudy Sr wasn’t given the Lenin treatment. Oh well, when we elect ‘get-er-done-son’ maybe we can institute a national holiday or something.

  6. Well of course the clowns at the CBC would run interference, for the Prime DOOFUS, when he lands in a political cow pie of epic proportions; of his own making no less.
Given that this is in the run up to Remembrance Day; one would have to question whether all of them were off their anti-psychotic prescriptions..?
When morons like this open their mouths, it is a good reason to keep a gun in the closet, and to keep your politician on an extremely short leash.
Yeah, I’m gonna trust “True-Dope-ia” to run government somewhere in the time frame of NEVER…

  7. If Trudeau was serious then he’s a moron of the first order.
If Trudeau was joking then he’s only a moron of the second order. What next, a rousing rendition of “Spring Time For Hitler”?
Either way I’m moving to New Zealand should he ever become PM.

  8. Too bad The Spawn’s father didn’t go on Mao’s long march with him instead of living off the capitalist silver spoon he indulged in by protesting “Britain’s War” in Europe while riding his motorcycle dressed in Nazi garb. And yet, the so-called Greatest Generation first elected him as PM. Those who forget history are……just f..ked.

  9. “Those who forget history are……just f..ked.”
I does appear that we might just have to experience that.
Trudeau senior is still glorified in the minds of many people in Canada, just like a number of Russians still celebrate Stalin, and no doubt many Chinese still glorify Mao.

  10. Worse yet, his comments came across a poorly articulated recycling of Thomas Friedman’s fascination with China. Dumb ass statement from a “future” Prime Minister and lacking any original thought.

  11. “the Chinese are recovering their human dignity.”
Maybe Justin Trudeau can tell that to the people in prison being harvested like grain for their organs.

  12. “Justin also mentioned how China is leading the world in green technology.”
That statement alone should make him ineligible for any office, much less allowed around children.

  13. How is admiration for Mao any different than his stated admiration for Fidel?
A superficial condemnation of these dictators might be warranted as a generality. The last time our society was faced with a national crisis was WW II and thankfully our parents and grandparents answered the call. China has had such challenges on a regular basis thru their history.

  14. Pierre Elliot Trudeau was the “Walter Duranty” of the Great Leap Forward. While he was wined and dined in China by Mao and the Communist Party of China, 20-80 million people starved to death under forced collectivization and securing the power of the Communist Party. Trudeau wrote fluff articles about Mao & the Chinese state. I believe Trudeau knew what was going on, just chose to look the other way.

Justin Trudeau was just paying tribute to his father and following in his footsteps.
