1. There you have it. The urge to conform and acquiesce in western society trumps compassion and guts nineteen times out of twenty.

2. The libertarian in me prevents me from interfering in what regressed cultures/religions do with their pee pees, their biz dude as long as it doesn’t effect me or weaken my freedoms. I may think it’s brutal and sadistic but hey, so is an orthodox brit milah IMHO. However in an evolved, liberal democratic civilized society, I retain the right to say so.
   The crowd that should feel shame are the rad fembos and sundry identity politics progressives who denounce any gender-specific barbarization in western culture yet exempt ritual male mutilation and any ritualistic genital mutilation done by non Christian ethnics. They sit in silence because their “outrage” is purely political and not moral – which reveals them to be the purveyors of a bigoted contradictory and conflicted ideal which is incompatible with any credible morality.

   Accommodating evil instead of confronting it head on, in this clash of civilizations, is a dangerous practice, as this poll demonstrates.

As I pointed out to one of my colleagues when we were discussing accommodation of cultural traditions, my ancestors had a tradition of sailing down the coast, identifying a vulnerable town, killing the men, raping the women, plundering the gold and silver, bringing the children back as slaves, and then burning the place flat. I asked him if I should have the right to get back in touch with my “cultural traditions” and if not, why not?
   It’s beyond pathetic that governments have so cowed people into accepting political correctness that they feel compelled to endorse barbarism. Once again, the end game of liberalism: law of the jungle.

9. The young lady with the petition should be encouraged to follow her culture and religious practices. Follow them on to an aircraft back to where they came from, and leave the rest of us here to follow ours.

    What is scary is that people who are dumb enough to sign such a petition also vote. In Canada, they would probably vote for that vapid empty vessel Trudeau.

12. As always I put little value on Polls unless I know the question and the questions leading up to the poll answer used. However on the subject of female circumcision I believe it is performed on children for the cultural practices of reducing female pleasure. This not correct and not part of current western culture.
    Regarding male circumcision I have been raised to understand this provides for cleanliness and reduced susceptibility in both male and a cohabiting female for cancer. The pleasure aspect for the male has been argued as being enhanced because of reduced premature ejaculation. Possibly the reduced premature ejaculation provides for increased pleasure enhancement for females.
    I wonder does male circumcision reduce the incidence of divorce? Cheers;

    Reminds me of a prank pulled by university students on United Nations bureaucrats. The officials signed a petition outlawing a potentially dangerous chemical responsible for many deaths around the world, diHydrogen Monoxide.

14. You can count on the fact that male circumcision if it had any effect on sexual pleasure would never exist in a million years. Do people honestly think Muslims would practice this on Men if it hurt them sexually. Not on your life.
    Female circumcisions though does effect sexual pleasure, & also is painful for life.Causes more infections. That Muslims do this to their Women is also understandable. The being considered less than human.
