  1. The Washington Times:

…yesterday, the Democrats in Congress were elbowing each other away from the microphones to see whose fangs could squirt the most poisonous venom. Barbara Boxer called the Republicans “domestic abusers.” Nancy Pelosi…shouted “anarchist” and “bomb throwers” and “hijackers” at the likes of Rand Paul and Ted Cruz…

  2. Another BS story from the NY Times regarding our beloved swamp donkeys. Global warming is killing them dontyaknow.

  3. “Rachel Maddow, like CNN’s Candy Crowley, should be fired.”
Why? I’ve long been convinced that the only people who watch MSNBC are conservatives who find it shocking/disgusting/hilarious. The stats bear me out.

  4. Tap dancing? Tap dancing? Don’t you know any reference to tap dancing, especially by a boy is racist?

  5. Yeah, true, Mamba, but I would still like to see Maddow bounced out on her head, dragging Martin Bashir along with her. Redundant or not. Is this asking too much?

  6. 2013 ranks as one of the least extreme U.S. weather years ever’– Many bad weather events at ‘historically low levels’
‘Whether you’re talking about tornadoes, wildfires, extreme heat or hurricanes, the good news is that weather-related disasters in the US are all way down this year compared to recent years and, in some cases, down to historically low levels.’
Tornadoes: ‘lowest total in several decades’
Number of wildfires: ‘On pace to be the lowest it has been in the past ten years’
Extreme Heat: The number of 100 degree days may ‘turn out to be the lowest in about 100 years of records’
Hurricanes: ‘We are currently in the longest period (8 years) since the Civil War Era without a major hurricane strike in the US (i.e., category 3, 4 or 5)’ ( last major hurricane to strike the US was Hurricane Wilma in 2005)

  7. Yours truly was fortunate enough to be one of the participants in this protest.
Unlike most protests, this one was comprised of lawful hard-working respectful people and therefor there were no incidents that attracted police intervention. In other words, decent conservative folk venting their anger in a socially acceptable way.

  8. POLL: TRUST IN GOVERNMENT AT ALL TIME LOW –
With the advent of a POTUS and federal regime which have been implicated in 2 capital crimes (fast and furious and Benghazi arms smuggling), engage in repressing any dissent with administrative power (IRS/ATF/NSA), staged elaborate theatrical ploys to hold congress ransom to debt financing, and have fiscally compromised the nation opening its financial security to attack by its enemies, the people of America seem to have awakened to the fact you simply can’t trust the government to represent your interests. Took long enough. By my resoning government was unworthy of trust the day Wilson lied about the Fed and entering WW1, but some learn slower than others. But wait, is this really the message sent by low approval rates for congress?
    http://www.people-press.org/2013/10/18/trust-in-government-nears-record-low-but-most-federal-agencies-are-viewed-favorably/
Oddly enough this poll sends mixed messages with most respondents showing to still support the actions/agendas of the federal organs that the government has employed to commit constitutional breeches and capital crimes. Also the anger at congress is focused at the resulting staged shut down, not the fact it was staged by the Dems and made to hurt as many people as possible to hold congress hostage to Dem debt financing – once again showing that the public reside in “Plato’s cave” seeing just shadows of reality portrayed by the MSM.

  9. “Sweden Becomes First Western Nation to Reject Low-fat Diet Dogma in Favor of Low-carb High-fat Nutrition”
“Butter, olive oil, heavy cream, and bacon are not harmful foods. Quite the opposite. Fat is the best thing for those who want to lose weight. And there are no connections between a high fat intake and cardiovascular disease.”
“For a long time, the health care system has given the public advice to avoid fat, saturated fat in particular, and calories. A low-carb diet (LCHF – Low Carb High Fat, is actually a Swedish “invention”) has been dismissed as harmful, a humbug and as being a fad diet lacking any scientific basis.
Instead, the health care system has urged diabetics to eat a lot of fruit (=sugar) and low-fat products with considerable amounts of sugar or artificial sweeteners, the latter a dangerous trigger for the sugar-addicted person.
This report turns the current concepts upside down and advocates a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet, as the most effective weapon against obesity.”

  10. APTN has some interesting articles and opinions on the fracking protests.
    A short selection.
“Think about your future generations and your grandchildren. Would you like them to grow up in a chemical desert,” said Jason Milliea, from Elsipogtog First Nation.
He also wondered (in another video) “who is going to buy our food then?”
“CTV journalists were separated from their satellite truck by a small group of demonstrators early Saturday.”
” Global journalists were also separated from their vehicle and equipment, which have also been returned.”
One local resident, a mother whose children attend an English school in the area expressed exasperation at the RCMP for not removing the charred remains.

  11. Another interesting APTN story;
“New fight over flood evacuee hotel bills headed to court”
” An Aboriginal aid agency that made headlines for failing to pay a $2.6-million hotel tab despite being given $85 million to care for Manitoba flood evacuees, reportedly has a new unpaid tab totalling more than $2 million…”
” Access to information requests to EMO shows MANFF staff working on the 2011 flood file claimed $4.7 million in overtime and mileage over a two year period.”
” Documents appear to show that MANFF management hired their children and those children billed for mileage to and from a college in St. Boniface. Some staff claimed to work 80 hours a week and at least one staff member submitted a $500 cellphone bill to be reimbursed.”
This is the organization that was billing us about $1,500 a day for pizza and snacks through a restaurant that is owned by a man with ties to the Liberals or NDP.I forget which one.
They are using the same businss model that works so well on the reserves.

“How Denmark Saved Its Jews from the Nazis”
