1. It’s nice to know that I’m getting paid because I’m white, but for some reason why do I feel the complete opposite?
   Everywhere I look tells me that my feelings are correct. i.e. CBC looking for kids t.v. host (white people need not apply) ,the Indian tax…that’s what a good portion of white people’s (all Canadians actually)income TAX go towards free housing free or reduced tuition etc. etc.!
   How about the “reasonable accommodation” non white immigrants receive upon arrival to Canada (both sides of MY family didn’t get sh!t when they left the boat) ESL training, temporary housing, accommodation money (welfare)and in some cases job placement above white Canadian citizens upon arrival (out side of private business head hunters)in gov job’s etc. etc..
   Or how about gov hiring quotas where white males need not apply essentially like I was told when I wanted to join the fire department along time ago I was told if you don’t have tits or tanned skin don’t bother. Wow another waste of tax payer dollars to tell tax payers how racist white people are and how spoiled we are as white people you know “white privilege”…GTFOH!!

2. White is a colour, not an ethnicity.
   Interesting that “mixed race” is listed as an ethnicity. You would think that someone who was smart enough to put that thing together would be smart enough to know the difference between colour, ethnicity and race.

   I brought a hardcore libertarian into the harper fold by simply asking him why he votes for a party that doesn’t get a fraction of a % of the fed vote I told him it’s better to pinch your nose and vote conservative and bitch to your MP than to vote for a party that will Never see the light of day ….I told him its what I do. He agreed I told him he should buy a membership to the party he was hesitant so I left it at that . We need to start holding politicians feet to the fire !!

7. It is interesting that they use MEDIAN income versus mean or average income. All it takes, using that criteria, is one super rich billionaire to skew the Median figure to an absurd level. Median is halfway between the highest and lowest income number. You can’t decrease the lowest number below zero, but you can increase the highest number to infinity.

   Blacks make MORE money than Latin American’s, Southeast Asians, Koreans, and Filipinos!
   The inhumanity, where’s Justin when we need him?

10. I wonder if these figures include benefits too. I mean, is the average Middle-Aged University-Educated White Guy really making close to six figures in straight salary?

11. Acutally, median is the middle value in a set of values. So for 3, 4, 6, 9, and 23, the median value is 6. The mean is 9. That’s exactly why they (wisely) used median as opposed to mean (average) here, it prevents a few really high or low numbers from skewing the result. The one thing that will hurt these surveys is if a number of individuals are included who have a value of zero or near-zero, even though they are not really employed or trying.

12. This calculator is worthless.
    A Bachelor degree or higher in what? Woman’s studies, sociology, or Engineering, Medicine, Business?
    The $ number provided pumps up useless degrees and vastly underestimates the return on useful fields of study.
    What about the value of further education, how about the number of hours worked per year?
    This model is pathetic.
