  2. The Foulness is interested only in Its very limited view of the world, and that includes playing to the low-information voter. Of course even the low-information voter may notice when Americans start being killed. That said, the Foulness is plain stupid.

  3. Israel stated today the US attacks would start on Sat. – when the UN investigators have left and before they file findings on WHO gassed the civilians, and of course before necessary congressional approval.

  4. I do not understand why Harper is even entertaining the thought of contributing any military assets.
    Regardless which side is supported, the winner will have no use for the west anyhow.
    The best we can do is just offer humanitarian assistance. But then again to what avail? Preparing for the next slaughter?

    But then maybe that is the objective…the longer that conflict is drawn out, the more arms that are sold.
    So who cares if it violates every sound tenet of battlefield procedure…to Syria and beyond! FORWARD!
    More cruise missiles are produced, and Putin snubs ‘Obambi’s kid remark’ by selling more anti-missile systems and a public ‘spanking’ of Assad is delivered.
    The Syrian population can ‘go fish’ in the Mediterranean.
    Another war is bullish for commodities according to Jim Rogers…

  12. Yeah well, cruise missiles have only changed the situation slightly from earlier wars.
    While they do not put aircrews in harms way and are extremely accurate….they have a real big flaw…THEY CAN BE SHOT DOWN.
    Air launched cruise missiles were a big factor in toppling the
    USSR. Unlike ICBMs they can be shot down….it requires dense AA belts and fighters with look-down/shoot down radar and missiles….which made the USSRs massive air fleet obsolete….not obsolescent.
    Assad has few worthwhile targets, in a very small, restricted area….making defense feasible….especially, now, knowing the attack vector…..from USN assets in the Med…..
    Besides evacuating personnel and equipement…it is rumoured Assad has placed political prisoners in the anticipated targets.
    Yeah, Putin is right….”a monkey with a hand grenade…”

    I think Obama is getting news about his multiple scandals replaced by this Syria strike nonsense on the cheap.
    That said, imagine you’ve been fighting a brutal civil war against headchoppers who eat your soldier’s livers for a couple of years and Obama says he’s going to throw a handful of cruise missiles your way.

Man of man.Start evacuating all Christians and troops out of the area,then arm the Tomohawks with tacticle nukes,aimed at Syria,Lebanon,Saudi,Iraq,Palis,AND Iran.Then close all immigration,and let the barbarians fight it out themselves.So what if Putin fills the hole. We have enough oil to survive quite well on our own.   26. Apparently, the UN investigation will only pronounce upon whether the victims were gassed, not WHO did it.
    I suspect Saudis keeping the UN mum.
    BTW I liked Harper’s pronouncement: This is serious, and cannot be allowed to go down the memory hole, but the war in Syria is so sectarian, there cannot be a sensible taking of sides; therefore Canada will not be involved.

    Obama is perhaps the most successful president in modern times.
    Successful in terms of achieving his evil goals.

  29. Saudi and other nasty Sunni proxies fighting nasty Iranian proxies with Russian support – what could be better? What possible realistic end game that the US is capable of could possibly leave them better off than this?
    Could it be that the Russians have tipped the scales and Obama would rather re-balance the conflict to maximize the killing all around or does he for some perverse reason take sides with the Sunnis (al Qaeda, et al) as he did in Libya?
    So many questions and so little honesty from the Commander in Chief!

  31. The Christian population in Syria realizes that, no matter how nasty Assad is perceived, he at least can keep the Islamic supremacists at bay.
    Syrian Christians have already seen what happened in Egypt, where the Brotherhood looked the other way while dozens of Christian churches were torched.
    Obama will have to wear what happened in Egypt and Libya.
    Do you figure he’ll go for the Islamic supremacists leading the way in Syria?
    So far, he’s shown he’s pretty naive about the whole situation and backing the rebels against the ‘oppressors’ in a global social justice play can only backfire.
    The Obama administration is already in a no-win position and, if innocents are killed when Tomahawks are fired into Syria, then the entire Muslim world turns against the US.

  34. Obumbles is going to aim a couple of rockets at empty fields and wants Assad to know it’s all just a publicity stunt. (ie, Assad is supposed to siddown, shaddup, and not retaliate against President Fluffball’s pseudo-“shot across the bow”.)
    President Fluffball forgets that Assad ALSO has to prove to HIS peeps that he’s a tough-guy ass-kicker. So Assad WILL retaliate.
