Yes, the historic presidency of Barack Obama has fundamentally changed how the rest of the world sees the U.S.A.
Obama must have a sore stomach over this.
Obama is being bullied by Putin, and it looks good on him.
Of course Snowden can use that year to help Wikileaks expose Russian intelligence-gathering activities, can’t he?
What?
Why are you laughing?
Barry could care less. If a foreign country wants to humiliate the U.S., he’s all for it. We deserve it in his eyes. The guy’s a dick.
SID
well actually dicks are usefull, Obumblechuck not so much
“…Barry could care less…”
‘Fraid you’re right, my man. He’s the perfect reflection of far too many Americans.
“Yea, Russia OR Aframexico, decisions, decisions………………” – Snowden
I think the only reason Russia is harboring Snowden is to test the level of US power to see just how far it has dropped. And now we know the answer.
Obama must be proud….

In other Russian news, gays acts and support of public support of gay “rights” are illegal because of new national Russian laws. This means that gays and those that choose to publicly support gay “rights” while attending the 2014 Olympics run the risk of being jailed.
This is a very interesting story, and I’ll be interested to see if the Russians will stay true to their laws and beliefs; or, will buckle under international pressure.
IMO it would be a legal travesty if the government decided to excuse forigners from the laws that are applied to Russian citizens regardless of what I think about the law. That said, the “white African American” in the White House has set the bar pretty low by doing exactly that regarding illegal immigrants from Mexico.

Oreilly and Miller talked and admired VPutin and his manly escapades. Miller called him the “Most Interesting Man in the World”.
He nailed it.
fyi
Rush is talking about this right now.
I’m laughing because first Snowden would have to be granted access to Russian security.
That’s after he’d have to learn the language, with a different alphabet.
Far as conspiracy theories go, that one’s pretty dumb.
On the other hand, Putin is only taking advantage of Obama … all talk and no action.
Putin is the alpha male. A country takes their cure/draws there strength from a strong, confident, leader (see Reagan/Churchill). It matters.
The metrosexual in the White House inspires no one but himself.
Obama is a jerk.
Putin’s only getting even at Obumbler for blowing kisses in his ear at
their last meeting! Putin cant stand muslime commies either.
How about a trade. Send Obamsterass to Russia and bring the Snow man back..
I would bet Snowden would make a better Pres than the O’disaster!!!!!!!!
When will these minor stories fade and get the real scandals on the front page?
Waiting, waiting, waiting hell I can’t hold my breath any longer.
Not meaning to call Snowden’s leaks a minor story.
There’s nothing strong about Putin. He has run Russia into the ground and now has to resort to scapegoating gays (Russia needs the gay equivalent of The Black Panthers). In this case, Putin has struck a big blow for freedom without meaning to. His motivations are mysterious. If he wanted to poke America in the eye, he could have granted Snowden asylum indefinitely. I bet he’s going to use Snowden as some kind of leverage.
Dear Mr President…
I also have flexibility.
Signed,
Vlad
If Putin finds out Snowden is gay, then what happens?
Hey, in case you haven’t been paying attention, pedophiles are now using the same ‘sexual preference’ argument.
Apparently, Putin is unwilling to do down that road … so, he cleverly cut off the future arguments at the pass. Must have been watching the moral decay of America.
Hey, in case you haven’t been paying attention, pedophiles are now using the same ‘sexual preference’ argument.
So what? Apparently, Putin is unwilling to do down that road … so, he cleverly cut off the future arguments at the pass.
1) I didn’t know you had psychic link with Putin. 2) He didn’t ‘cut off’ any arguments. Evil laws don’t change the validity of arguments. Lrn2think Must have been watching the moral decay of America.
The moral decay that exists only in fevered SoCon imaginations.
Hey LAS cause.
The way I see it, Putin has made a clever calculation.
Since the natural-born children of the Russian gay population cannot hold any inter-generational resentment against Putin’s treatment of their non-existent future, what does he have to lose?
As Steyn has pointed out, the future belongs to those who populate it.
No offsprings, no future.
Too bad, so sad. That’s the biological reality.
Putin or Pansy? I know who my choice of leader would be.
Since the natural-born children of the Russian gay population cannot hold any inter-generational resentment against Putin’s treatment of their non-existent future, what does he have to lose?
….what? Are you suggesting gay people will die out? Cuz they’re not. Putin or Pansy? I know who my choice of leader would be.
So do I since you are obviously so obsessed with covering for your own shortcoming by advocating for state violence and are virulently anti-freedom.
Hey Lassie. You off your meds again? I will agree that there is no moral decay in America, since you must have morals to start with, which most of America has not had for 6 years. They do not even have an American running their country,so what’s the problem? The sad thing is,the Chimp in Chief makes Putin, and even Prince Charles, look good.Hell.The Chimp makes Trump look good.
Some people say they do not like Snowden because he is a traitor. Probably the same people who voted for the Kenyan, over their Bambi phones.
Oh.And your beets for borscht work better if they get a good frost first.
They do not even have an American running their country
…what?
The circumstances of this silly mess are very likely to stick it to the occupant of the White House.
Ruskies, whatever you think of them, have no time for useless flunkies. They can deal with real people, they have no time for airheads.
If you remember that far, there was a situation at the space station. The Americans were somewhat lost as what to do since they did not have the specific tool to fix what needed to be fixed. Ruskies fixed it and then said, something to the effect, don’t try to use gadgets, when you can fix it with a screwdriver and a hammer.
Russians have no time for Muslim supremacists.
Hillary Clinton had one as her top adviser.
Huma Abedin happens to be married to Anthony Weiner.
Chalk up one more plus for Putin.
Naw, just pointing out the biological fact that zero children have been born as a result of anal sex.
Any proof for the assertions in your last statement? Sounds nothing like the person I’ve lived with all my life.
Anything else you know about me? My age? How many kids do I have? Am I still married? Anything?
I’m going to take a wild guess and suggest you have at least the sense God gave a goose, which is clearly more than LAS has ever had.
Oh, and by the way, LAS? How, pray, has Mr. Putin ruined Russia? Was it the eight percent growth rate? Winning a war against Muslim rebels? Enforcing anti-corruption laws to a degree unheard of in the West against the kleptocrats who bankroll Russia’s liberals? Tax rates and a cost of living well below ours? Repaying the debt to foreign banksters racked up by the communists? Taking Russia’s Orthodox faith seriously and limiting recruitment for sodomy and defending the Christian faith from blaspheming harlots? Or was it merely treating liberal prejudices with the contempt they deserve?
Trust me, 20 years after the banksters write off the racket styling itself the United States, our neighbours to the south will be blessed indeed if God considers them sufficiently humbled to be granted a man like Vladimir Putin to reign over whatever replaces it.
Every word in your little ‘story’ is a lie. Russia’s economy is sh*t-heap and the government is pure corruption. Russians themselves are getting a little tired of it. The anti-Putin movement is only getting bigger.
Yeah well, Russians have several traits different from America or the rest of Europe.
1) They are very strongly influenced by Asia……
2) They instinctively follow a strong horse….indeed the October revolution probably had as much to do with Nickolas appearing to be a weak leader. Putin didn’t really have a lotta choice about granting Snowden asylum…to hand him over to the yanks would make him seem weak.
3) Russians instinctively are very patriotic…..early in WW2 the USSR harnessed patriotism as a stronger horse than communism….and it worked well…WW2 is still called “the Great Patriotic War” in Russia.
As far as Russia’s economy, it has been freed from the crushing costs of the Cold War military for 2 decades. The USSR in truth had no real idea the extent of the costs…..Best estimates are 1/3 to 1/2 of the USSR GDP.
Russia’s energy exports have been massive infusions of capital. Any notion that Russia’s economy is weak is just frivolous….stupid.
Lots of noise and hot air here but the substantive reality is less overwhelming.
The Russians were never going to send Snowden back to the US and the US knew this. American protestations to Russia are merely proforma diplomatic bluster (“Ah, we’ll give it a shot even though it’s futile!”). If a “whistle-blower” for the Russian equivalent* of NSA showed up suddenly at Dulles International you can be quite sure the US would not permit extradition to Russia. Such is the nature of intelligence activity between nations.
Snowden has “escaped” the writ of US law (which, not surprisingly, doesn’t quite extend to other countries. Duh.) and any “tough talk” from the US administration is merely anodyne for current American embarrassment.
But this will pass, and business-as-usual will quietly carry on in the intelligence world as public attention lags. Remember all the noise over Assange and Wikileaks? Even the Manning verdict was far less newsworthy than the Royal Baby. And when was the last time anyone much cared what Assange was up to (Julian who?) or publicized anything in those thousands and thousands of now very, very stale classified US documents?
* That ironical twist is what makes this so humorous. Russian “cyber-intelligence” is just as active as the NSA (Snowden might well be quite aware of this too). That makes Snowden’s asylum in Russia, evidently abetted by Wikileaks, appear more than a little hypocritical. Any port in a storm, I guess.
I think Obamantion should go over an offer an apology to Putin just as he did to the Muslim world when he took office, That worked didn’t it.
In just 6 years Obamanation made the US of A a second class weak nation. China and Russia are no longer afraid and therefore have no respect for them.
Obama’s MO (typical of most politicians) – “I have principles, but if you don’t like them I have other ones.”
Dear Barry,
Blow me.
