More Pavilions At Folkfest

Who saw this coming?

A poll conducted by the research bureau of Maurice de Hond (the Dutch equivalent of Gallup), commissioned by the PVV, among a representative sample of over 1,900 people also shows other striking results:
A majority of 55 percent favors stopping immigration from Islamic countries.
63 percent say: no new mosques.
72 percent favor a constitutional ban on Sharia law in the Netherlands.
64 percent say that the arrival of immigrants from Islamic countries has not been beneficial to the Netherlands.
Nearly three-quarters – 73 percent – of all Dutch see a relationship between Islam and the recent terror acts in Boston, London and Paris.

  1. Nearly three-quarters – 73 percent – of all Dutch see a relationship between Islam and the recent terror acts in Boston, London and Paris.
The other 27% are in comas.Live like hoarders , or are academics. The rest are children.
The bulk of them being politicians.

  2. So will these respondents act accordingly and vote out of office the politically correct bureaucrats who allow such nonsense to occur?

  3. Ahhh yes majority will, vox populi – the will of the people – there may bee a majority who want to end self-destructive immigration but the 1% who run the country want things jut the way they are – otherwise things would change – obviously civil strife serves the agendas of the elite.

  4. But are the dutch willing to cut into the hedonist lifestyle of the day, grow up, and start having kids to counteract the trend? They are giving the right answers on the phone, but are they willing to change their lifestyles to a more responsible one? It’s far easier to slouch into Dar al Islam, and wonder (in their dhimmitude) “what happened?”

In essence the EU has reduced the rule of law to the ‘rule of political whim’….
Among other things, the imposition of ‘Hate Speech Laws’ which are not new to us … but quietly and recently revoking the protection of EMPs to speak out.
French far-right leader, Marine Le Pen, could face criminal charges for inciting racism . . . French authorities opened a case against Mrs Le Pen in 2011 after she likened the sight of Muslims praying in the streets to the Nazi occupation of France. As a European Parliament member (MEP), she enjoyed immunity from prosecution. However, this protection was removed by a European parliamentary committee in a secret vote this week.

  6. Too bad.
The islamic monster is loose in Holland and the law makers, the police, the armed forces and the leftist politicians that they keep electing will force islamification on them. They’ve been emasculated to the point where the majority won’t rise up and rebel against the current order in Holland and the EU. They’ve been spoiled to the point where they expect everything done for them, they have no idea that sometimes you have to do something yourself. They may whine about how they don’t like what’s happening, but except for a very small number of them, they’ll just sit and watch it happen.

There are three pollsters in Dutch politics: the Politieke Barometer, Peil.nl, and TNS-NIPO.
    […]
I trust the Politieke Barometer more than the other pollsters. It has a better score than the others for the right block and the traditional catch-all parties.
Politieke Barometer polls are usually quoted in the press, but don’t get anything near the exposure of Peil.nl polls.
    […]
Peil.nl is always out for sensational headlines. Protest parties SP and PVV usually poll better with Peil.nl than with the other two, and the same goes for the left block and for small parties.
Maurice de Hond, Peil.nl’s owner and a well-known political commentator in his own right, uses an open Internet poll to which anyone can subscribe. (I have.) This methodology is criticised time and again by the other two pollsters and political scientists, but if we compare his last polls to the election results he doesn’t do significantly worse than the other two. Part of the problem is that he has the best press contacts of the three, and his polls always draw headlines. Besides, if a TV programme needs a political pollster they always ask him.

deHond’s latest internet consultation had PartyWilders as the most popular right now, with 16%. But, given the results during the last government, when they were a supporting party in the coalition, no predictions of future coalitions includes them.
Alliance with Wilders did hurt the Netherlands’ reputation

  8. You silly peasants do not understand. Your moral superiors have decided on this course of action. And you will follow through with it, because they know what is best for you. Because they are so very smart and enlightened (all their friends tell them that!).
These beheadings, stabbings, street violence are merely transitory effects until the fully progressive regime is in place. Your resistance to this progressive future is causing these minor problems. Once the dictatorship of the proletariat, oops “progressive state” is in place, you will all live together in multicultural peace and plenty; watched over by your kind and benevolent ruling class. After all, it is their duty to lead you to a progressive life, and for which, they will be justly compensated.
    Long Live the Progressive State!

  9. That’s funny, Iranians believe there are too many christians in their country.
The sad fact is that organized religion is divisive, intolerant of contrary beliefs and an all too common motivator to hate others.
Religious ideology is solely responsible for the death of countless millions and millions over the centuries. Radical muslims are simply hundreds of years behind on the religious cleansing bell-curve.
When disbelievers were being slaughtered by “radical” christians in unimaginable numbers, I’m sure they had trouble believing any good people could be a member of that group either.
Does the peaceful muslim have a responsibility to end radicalization of their faith? ABSOLUTELY! The same responsibility Catholics have to challenge the Vatican’s murderous banning of condoms in AIDS ravaged Africa or putting the protection of evil child-molesting priests over the protection of those innocent children.
It has been demonstrated in the UK that supposed demands by immigrant muslims were actually the brainchild of PC addled politicians of the left. Anything to garner support for votes. We have seen the same PC bullshit here in our own beloved country.
This blending of cultures and religions will never work until mankind starts fixating on our commonalities, not our differences.

  10. I don’t think one can call it creeping sharia anymore. It has become a full on gallop. Isn’t Harper bringing in another 120,000 of the savages, or has he already done so? Correct me if I’m wrong. So hard to keep up with all the destruction of freedom going on these days. Vote liberal, get a liberal. Vote conservative, get a liberal. Tell me again why I should vote? Politicians…no different than pedophiles in my book. Wait…wasn’t that 7th century Mo guy a pedophile? Naw…couldn’t be, it has to be a coincidence.

  11. Canadian Observer, you’ve fallen for a common fallacy in the post-modern world (aside from your woeful misunderstanding of the facts on the ground, religious tenets and that the English language demands the capitalisation of proper nouns)- that religions, being all the same, are all equally bad and therefore should be removed from society at large. When was the last time a rabbi flew an airplane into a building? It is one religion/culture/political system in particular that has been the source of strife for the past few decades. Any kind of equivalence is just nonsense.
As for the Dutch, whither the love? The Islamisation of the country had been going on for years and now they are up to their liberal butts in it. They can get themselves out of it.

  12. This the reality. The reformation was to bring people back to what the Bible meant. Not because it caused persecution. Religious leaders do. The very people Yeshua railed against as hypocrites.
Even the absurdly anti-Christ like the Inquisition that lasted over a thousand years in some places. Never killed more than Islam does in 2 weeks. It was mostly a Priest protection racket. Islam is not a real Religion ,but a political system of conquest. That uses a phoney god as a control measure. Pushed by an obviously insane maniac who thought he was a prophet. His fruit is death to all, even Muslims. Just as Atheist Marxists use Dogma to kill multi millions for a system that defies human nature.
Before people condemn God . Make Religions equivalent. I wish they would at least read about it. Investigate claims.

It’s always best to stop reading right at that mark of the wingnut.

  14. Dirtman and rd have it right. Hopefully the Dutch people have had enough, throw out their leftist politicians, tell the EU to go to h**l, and do something about it. Hopefully also the rest of Europe and North America wake up to the creeping caliphate being established before it is too late.
Terry, Osumashi, INP and Revnant Dream, well said.

  15. Religion is power, power is politics..
The Union itself is in defense of European culture.. Even if the Dutch are outnumbered in their own country (big mistake).. They will have to clear the Islamic Republic of Netherlands through Brussels, who will tell them to pound salt..
The European Union was not to counter the USA.. It was to counter European progressive policy.. A fall back to the Roman Empire because???

  16. If the Dutch leave the Union and remain a democracy Islamic law will be imposed legally by the elected government.. If they stay in the Union the Dutch get to rule by being a shadow government..
So Dutch culture had to be outsourced to Brussels in order to protect Dutch culture from Dutch politics..
Whats gonna happen when Brussels fails? Well then its off to Berlin with their special brand of socialist love..
All this makes me wanna move to Russia, because after all they will be able to move in and clean up at their leisure.. das vedanya comrade 🙂

And as to the numbers in the poll, read Kate’s banner.Says it all.

  20. Those opinion poll numbers from Holland are actually rather low. Daniel Pipes wrote a recent article which quoted opinion data from other European countries. Here’s the relevant section:
Swiss voters endorsed a referendum in 2009 banning minarets by at 58-42 margin, a vote more significant for its ratio than its policy implications, which were roughly nil. Public opinion polling at that time found that other Europeans shared these views roughly in these same proportions. Polling also shows a marked hardening of views over the years on these topics. Here (with thanks to Maxime Lépante) are some recent surveys from France:
67 percent say Islamic values are incompatible with those of French society
70 percent say there are too many foreigners
73 percent view Islam in negatively
    74 percent consider Islam intolerant
84 percent are against the hijab in private spaces open to the public
86 percent are favorable to strengthening the ban on the burqa

As Soeren Kern notes, similar views on Islam appear in Germany. A recent report from the Institut für Demoskopie Allensbach asked what qualities Germans associate with Islam:
56 percent: striving for political influence
    60 percent: revenge and retaliation
    64 percent: violence
68 percent: intolerance toward other faiths
    70 percent: fanaticism and radicalism
    83 percent: discrimination against women

In contrast, only 7 percent of Germans associate Islam with openness, tolerance, or respect for human rights.
So, by European standards, Dutch opinion is perhaps a little behind the curve.
