1. This is really the epitome of totalitarianism. Persecuted by the government for your political beliefs. The United States goes around preaching to other countries that doing this is bad and then proceeds to do it to it’s own people. If I was an American I would be livid right now conservative or not. This is truly disgusting.

4. There was a poll in the U.S. in which 29% believe armed insurrection in US may be necessary. That was done before this revelation. The number is almost certainly considerably higher now that it is revealed that the government engages in such disgusting tactics and in doing so, the trust in government and its agencies will take an enormous hit. Nice going, Obama…..you may go down in history as the last President in U.S. history.

5. This should come as no new revelation. The IRS has been bullying, terrorizing and dirty dealing the public for years. That is its nature – it can be no different for a laviathan government monopoly on revenue collection which defines and interprets the tax code, the 16th amendment and its own roll and dictates this to the public, police and courts. The way taxes are collected in both the US and Canada is long over due for reform and constitutional vetting – long over due. Americans are just discovering the massive abuse tax collection systems are open to.
   As far as whether this high crime of state (and other recent scandals) will end Obama’s disastrous regime, I tend to agree with Dennis Miller. The Media are such government ass kissers they do what they are told by “the boss” and Obama is a vulgar arrogant tyrant who open tells them to kiss ass or be destroyed – they’ll kiss ass, but perhaps grumble a little about it in public to make us think the media is still independent of government hegemony.

   I guess incompetence, malice and sloth are wise career choices.

11. Just listening to Rush this morning it sounds like something is starting here. Something seriously huge. People have reached the complete and total boiling point over this. The fact the freaking IRS who is already hated universally is involved is probably the most irritating part of all this.

13. Minor problem, Al: Charles II died in 1685 and so was not on the throne for the Glorious Revolution. It was his brother, James II, who brought in the teagues and who fled England following the successful invasion by William of Orange.

    This is why we along with the USA had no tax system before 1918 when they set up this “temporary ” system. For the War of Europe’s Monarchs.The opportunity for Political abuse is limitless.
    As is it is used as a nuke, to terrify people by Political Parties. It can easily become an engine of repression.
    We all know this . Its just being confirmed now . Since the idea of honour, or Honesty , including Independence is now dead. In the post Relativistic secular oligarchy, that now exists.
    Honesty is as dead in Government if not widespread now in a Society against Christianity or what its Individual tenets on morality. Personnel responsibility, individual integrity, have become extinct. Under 40 years of Moral relativism , or as I call it secular Materialism.Taught as the norm. Nothing is wrong or right, just advantageous to you. You can thank a soulless school system . People who put more faith in a Government than a God.
    This is as JT would say the root causes, of our Burgeoning authoritarian System of governance now.
    The corruption of Generations into a code of selfishness with no moral legs to live with.
    Looking for a cause instead of examining their actions.

17. Right on the money John Robertson. Tax reform – starve the levithan, cut the blood supply off to the leach. Only way for th people to regain control of their governing systems. Under these authoritarian socialist regimes it may require organizing a national strike or tax revolt but it has to be done to downsize the vampire.

    The Nuremburg Tribunal didn’t buy it as a defense for the Nazi criminals, nor, when on the infrequent occasions nowadays when it’s actually followed, does the United States Constitution.
