  1. I would have included a copy of the Internal Revenue Code, although they likely would not have recognized it…

  2. Excellent response. Must remember when some politico asks me what’s wrong with Canuckiztan,to shove a copy of the Leftard’s and Criminal’s Rights and Freedoms in his/her/its face. For the exact opposite reason of what Ms.Bowers did.

  3. No further communication, they kicked her door in and carted her off to the Gulag for “thought correction.

  4.    I would have included a copy of the Internal Revenue Code…
Considering the immensity of the US Tax code, that would have probably have required a tractor-trailer for delivery?   I.e., a prohibitively expensive proposition.
    Mission Accomplished!

  5. The Constitution is now obsolete and replaced by The Leader’s book “Dreams from My Father”.
BTW, The Leader dedicated his book to “my mentor Frank”, who is Frank Marshall Davis, a long-time activist and propagandist for the Communist Party of the US. Do some quick googling, Wiki’ing and you’ll find voluminous information on Mr. Davis’ long career of Communist activity. The FBI had a large file on this man, our president’s most important childhood mentor, according to Obama in his book.
Then, there’s the Communist background of Obama’s mother and maternal grandparents.
Then, we can talk of Obama’s years in a Muslim Madrassa in Indonesia.
Not exactly a Jeffersonian Democrat background, that of the man currently sitting in the Oval Office.

  6. Obviously political/partisan backdoor snooping, a breech of trust at best abuse of authority as well. Another federal alphabet agency used for nefarious political purposes.
Perhaps the larger question, is not about government discrimination of political or religious freedoms but that Americans need to ask the government to associate lawfully at all – or that free association for mutual cause or thought can be taxed at all under any circumstance. Free association, thought and belief is a constitutional guarantee. The power to tax is the power to destroy. The government quite illegally and immorally has given itself a tool to discriminate against and destroy any individual or free association of individuals. This cannot in any light be seen as “for the greater good”. No greater good is achieved by providing a potential abusive regime a weapon to destroy constitutionally guaranteed rights.
It is clear the 16th amendment violates common law property rights of the individual – income taxing was meant for non-individual commercial entities (corporations). It certainly is in breach of the constitution if applied to free unincorporated association of individuals. However the 16th amendment has been under attack by citizens in courts for almost a century under the premise it was never legally ratified as per statute requirement and congress was unaware the amendment failed state’s ratification due to collusive fraud to undermine lawful amendment process. Problem is, no government court has ever allowed proof of this claim to be entered into evidence. Most court challenge results in indictment of the petitioner.
What has America come to when a government created to protect rights can accuse petitioners of lying about amendment procedure and then prohibit those people from presenting evidence of claim in a court of law? Is it a shock that this has happened in a Chicago federal court? Aside from this, the evidence that the IRS maintains a revenue collection monopoly through criminal intimidation, fear, coercion and a multitude of unethical and probably illegal devices is common. Now we see them being used to run political pogroms.
This scandal is only partly about the malfeasance of the Obama administration. The need for reform or repeal of current tax collecting systems should be squarely in the sights of a any politician and citizen concerned with constitutionally constrained government.

  7. Thank-you for that informative post Occam. You filled in some blanks for me re: income tax in America. I did not know the ramifications of protesting it’s legality.
Your conclusion is what brought so many concerned citizens to the speeches and rallies of Dr. Ron Paul during the last election. Ron Paul had all the head honcho’s (Career Politicians) quivering, squawking and slandering – repubs and demos.
Ron Paul was the Best President America never had, IMO.

  8. Jemma,
For some reason Ron Paul is more popular in Canada than the US. Hopefully the Libertarian movement grows up north here but unfortunately the Wild Rose party seems to be the closest thing that Canada has produced so far.
