But until the problem can be openly discussed, how can it ever be solved?

    Add taqiyya to all of the other deterrents to discussing terrorism such as multiculturalism, coddling visible minorities, and political correctness, and we’re done.

  2. The ruling by a judge in Toronto on a muslim woman’s sexual assault trial is that she must remove her veil. It would never have come to this 5 year appeal if our damn supreme court had the courage to rule as imams everywhere have stated and Egypt’s senior cleric that wearing a nigab, burka or hijab is a personal choice. It has nothing to do with Islam, men force women to wear these garbs to make a political statement! I am just sick of our leaders placating islam. We all know this will not end well for us.

  3. It CAN be openly discussed now, due in no small part to the efforts of those who’ve been willing to sacrifice and fight “hate speech” persecution.
    Unless Islam does something akin to a reformation, the conflict will intensify and become more clearly defined. Fewer westerners are buying the moderate Muslim story every day. And the chances of reformation happening are about the same as Heather Mallick writing the forward to Steven Harper’s next hockey book.

    tactics for what they are. Boston opened up this can of decayed worms. The stench of the lies, with the dancing around denying Islam has nothing to do with the killing. Has become a sour taste in North America.
    You can only disclaim something for only a while, till the full body of crimes discloses what it truly is.

  11. The CAIR guy cannot speak out against how the word ‘jihad’ had been hijacked by the extremists.
    Ask Salman Rushdie. They would put out a fatwa on him.
    On the other hand, a fatwa death sentence proves that this is not a religion of peace, but a controlling cult that will eventually demand all of its adherents to kill those not like them.
    Nothing short of declaring it a cult inspired by the acceptance of satan’s offer (see the parable of the Temptation of Christ to learn more about the offer) will make a difference.

    CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Niwad Awad (who still serves as CAIR’s executive director) were present at a Hamas planning meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 where they and other Hamas operatives conspired to raise funds for Hamas and to promote jihad in the Middle East. CAIR has steadfastly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups.
    Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror:
    Ghassan Elashi , founder of CAIR’s Texas chapter, in 2009 received a 65-year prison sentence for funneling over $12 million from the Islamic charity known as the Holy Land Foundation to the jihad terrorist group Hamas, which is responsible for murdering hundreds of Israeli civilians
    Mousa Abu Marzook, a former CAIR official, was in 1995 designated by the U.S. government in 1995 as a “terrorist and Hamas leader.” He now is a Hamas leader in Syria.
    Randall Royer, CAIR’s former civil rights coordinator, in 2004 began serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding al-Qaida and the Taliban against American troops in Afghanistan and recruiting for Lashkar e-Taiba, the jihadist group responsible for the 2008 Mumbai jihad massacres.
    Bassem Khafagi, CAIR’s former community relations director, was arrested for involvement with the Islamic Assembly of North America, which was linked to al-Qaida. After pleading guilty to visa and bank fraud charges, Khafagi was deported.
    Rabih Haddad, a former CAIR fundraiser, was deported for his work with the Global Relief Foundation (which he co-founded), a terror-financing organization.
    In 1998 Omar Ahmad, CAIR’s co-founder and longtime Board Chairman, said: “Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.”

  28. The leading cause of death in Canada is cancer, taking a toll of over 71,000 Canadians annually (2009, StatsCanada). By contrast the number of fatalities in Canada during the last 12 months due to terrorism is one.
