  1. All such people should be taken seriously.
If someone says, “I’m goan keel you.” and there is any ghost of a chance they mean it(ghost of a chance), then you should endeavor to kill them first.
Reading it as a bluff is OK if the one who thinks it’s a bluff puts their own neck out there right now.
    neck,…right now
    right now

  2. Anything could happen.
That being said, I believe this is Kim Jong-Un’s way of rattling sabres while attempting to get the sanctions lifted. He can’t wait for China to do some arm-twisting, I guess. If he does attack, he will attack a small South Korean site and it will be President Park’s problem.
IF he did attack Seoul, Japan or a North American location, China would have to clean up after its lap dog. China doesn’t want that.
I wonder why North Koreans don’t get how owned they are by China. Even THEY have to see how absurd this is.

  3. The Nork’s were able to launch a satellite into earth orbit. That means they have the ability to hit any point on the earth’s surface with a nuke. Now there is the minor problem of ablative shielding on ICBM’s on re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere and I’m sure the Norks are smart enough to have thought of how to solve this problem. After all, they are a race with higher average IQ’s than caucasians.
Iran has been having wet dreams about exploding a nuclear bomb high above the US so that the EMP will devastate the US economy which is highly dependent on overly EMP sensitive electronics. Exploding a nuke at high altitude is far simpler than coming up with the appropriate ablative shielding to allow a high speed descent from space to the earths surface. The US and Russia have such technology but it’s so 1950’s that I’m sure the Norks have it as well.
China likes having a buffer state between itself and S. Korea which is quite a bit wider than the Yalu river. Chicoms also have wet dreams about destroying the US. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Chicoms were very willing to sacrifice their esteemed fraternal colleagues, the Norks, to make the US spend decades in rebuilding from the devastation caused by one single EMP bomb. Sure, N. Korea would be a nice level glass parking lot as a result, but the radioactivity would be a barrier to prevent foreign devils from influencing Chicom peasants. If the US were preoccupied with trying to survive in a post-apocalytic environment, they wouldn’t have time to do such irritating things like defend Taiwan from Chicom “liberators” or help the Japanese out in territorial disputes. China has dreams of world domination and the Norks could help them achieve those dreams.
If the US had a president whose IQ was greater than his shoe size, the Chicoms wouldn’t have a chance. However, given the rule of Obozo, his greatest achievement may likely be the Chicom takeover of the planet. So, get your Cantonese phrase books out and prepare to meet your new masters.

  4. Lets worry about North Korea going after the Giant called America while Iran plans to blow up Israel for real shall we.
This is the Media folks making theater with a Drama Queen while the real act of horror is being Ignored.

  5. If north Korea was planing war, the army would mobilize, and this is not the case.
Unfortunately Governments use these things to divert attention from the sheeple and pass the real scarey bills behind closed doors, that never make it the news.
If you do a little digging you can find them all around you, but no one cares its all good.
I told my brother in-law a bought one of them, and was told your lying. That’s not true if it was I would know a bought it, that’s front page news.I had to find an old newspaper tiny blurb in the back and it was the only paper that wrote a bought it, to prove it to him it was true. This was only one, of many things going on, right now.

  6. China told the NORKS they could attack America with Kim Jong-Uns Ding Dong missile,
but Not to damage any Wal Marts.
Obummer has spent too much time talking about the Middle East and lil Nork Kim is having a sissy fit,
    screaming:
    ‘Look at Me,’
    ‘Look at Me!
    you’ll see, ‘YOU’LL SEE !

  7. If the Norks are serious and really mean to go to war, they will probably have a few good days at the start where they kill a bunch of foreign devils and blow up Seoul. Then their own incompetence and shallow logistics capability will start to bite them, and the end will be mass desertions and crushing defeat.
I guess it all depends how deranged their Dear Leader is.
given the known food and slavery problems in Norkland, I will not be surprised if the mass desertions come right at the very beginning as soon as the real lead starts to fly. Commies always talk tough, but half their guns are always empty and half their soldiers are hungry.

  8. They moved 5 count them 5 missiles to the border. These missiles could – they will not- but they could reach Guam.
    This is almost embarrassing.

  9. I bet Team Obama is chomping at the bit for this confrontation. You sure as hades couldn’t let a crisis like this go to waste.
    ,

  10. No way that the North attacks the South without China’s approval. Simply won’t happen. The only rationale to suspect other wise is that the regime in the North is close to internal collapse. It could be but then again I suspect China bails them out.
From a geopolitical perspective it might be in American interest for a war to break out. After all it is USA policy in the Far East to contain China. It is why the USA is redeploying military assets there rather than the ME. A strong American reaction to a ‘mistake’ by North Korea would solidify their influence with virtually every country in SE Asia that fears the coming Chinese naval threat.

  11. Never turn your back on a madman with a nuke.
The US has gone to defcon 3 and China has massed troops and ordnance at the NK border (in support of NK!). Putin has cautioned Kim to “calm down” and the Pentagon has admitted NK has nukes on ballistic missiles capable of strikes on Japan and south Korea. It seems the invasion of SKorea is imminent and the choice for the US is to either let it go or escalate a nuclear confrontation with China.
This is how it starts. The best thing we can do right now is boycott Chinese goods – hitting them in the wallet will make then think twice about what they have allowed their loopy leader to do in supporting this dangerous madman. Harper and BamBaam should immediately tell China the ports will be closed to their goods immediately if they support NK’s insane nuclear aggression.
The US should commit only to conventional surgical attacks on NK military targets and get China to dissuade NK or stand down if Kim invades S.Korea.
Unfortunately Obama has been too busy dealing with his ideological enemies at home and launching bureaucratic war against red state gun owners and constitutionalists to even consider NK a nagging nuclear threat. I don’t feel safe with that myopic narcissistic meathead in the oval office handling global nuclear balance.

  12. Has China allowed Kim “haircut lad” to paint himself in a corner…. on purpose?
The young whippersnapper in chief has not yet experienced deceit, maybe this is chapter #1. In other words Kim is now thinking ” how do I get myself out of this mess?”, when he was counting on China offering councelling, and other help?

  13. Crazy? Why crazy? Kim and his people calculate that His Foulness and the metrosexual military “leaders” don’t have the balls to resist. [This is probably true but there are three hundred million Americans who do have the balls to do so; as the NorKs may eventually find out.]
The current threat is to nuke Japan. This is clever enough because Japan has left much of its defence to the US, and the US gov’t practice in recent years has been to betray its allies. It will be so easy with no US territory under threat. His Foulness is the perfect person to implement this policy as he loves to betray. I would expect that even as we speak a lack of US response is already undermining its position with the Japanese and other Pacific countries. An armed response was necessary as soon as Kim announced that war was inevitable.
Sorry my dear, NorK policy is cruel, brutal, and dangerous, but it is not crazy. We have armed forces precisely because people like Kim and countries like North Korea do spring up now and then. As for Michael Totten, I expected better from him. Yes, Michael, North Korea is serious. Kim has put his prestige on the line. Either he scores a victory of some sort over the US or he goes. You may hope that he will go with a whimper and not a bang. I am betting on the BANG.
Oh and by the way, Michael says that Kim “threatened to scrap the 1953 armistice that turned the hot Korean War into a cold one”. Now according to the media he has in fact done so (one maybe should not put much trust in the media), which means we are once again at war with North Korea, and that if Kim launches a missile or three it is a legitimate act of war.

  14. If North Korea is serious I’ll eat my hat. Kim Jong Un is as much a monster as his father and grandfather, ’tis true. They weren’t stupid and neither is he.
Anybody who claims the threats aren’t completely idle either has no idea what he’s talking about or is trolling for hits from people with the sense to know better.
    Next question.

  15. The current shrill rhetoric coming out of NK reminds me of the following:
Of course the politics are different, but the message is the same.

North Korea states ‘nuclear war is unavoidable’ as it declares first target will be Japan
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/391376/North-Korea-states-nuclear-war-is-unavoidable-as-it-declares-first-target-will-be-Japan
the North has declared it is “confident of final victory” against its enemies.
“The enemies should know that it is the era of the great Marshal Kim Jong Un, leader of the most powerful country and invincible great Paektusan nation,” KCNA stated.
“The DPRK has won victories in confrontation with the U.S. in spirit and is waging an all-out action with it, with confidence in final victory.”
The Korean Peninsula has “been reduced to the biggest nuclear hotspot in the world”, the North said in more fiery rhetoric today, “making the outbreak of a nuclear war on this land unavoidable.”
The reclusive state is dedicated to “defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country with its own strike mode and means,” it said.
“No force on earth can block the just cause of the army and people of the DPRK,” the chilling message concluded.

  16. I met a fella who considered himself well informed…who declared that Nork’s famous “HARTS” (hardened artillery sites) could literally flatten Seuol in less than an hour and that they are invulnerable to attack.
Well sez I, that’s old news…30 year old news…Doncha think that in the face of such…that the US and South Koreans haven’t put in place a plan to neutralize the “HARTs” in a few minutes…but must wait until they actually fire a shot or two?
He sez “impossible”…I sez if they can drive a cruise missile through a window pane at 1500 miles….thinkabowdit.
It’s one thing to put a relatively light satelite in orbit but nuclear weapons must in principle/practice be heavy suckers…uranium and plutonium are very heavy elements…like lead, tungsten…..
