Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Nice birds ….
Kate, you must have had a hand in teaching these chickens how to pose.
They remind me of some the pigeon pictures I saw when my late father had racing pigeons.
They look too good to eat.

Those are some pretty magnificent-looking chickens.
But how do they taste?
Mmmmm chicken!
I have to admit, the title IS appropriate.
I’m hungry.
Those are some really fine looking birds. My grandmother kept a few of these breeds and she raved about what a joy they were to keep.
In all the years I have travelled to Hawaii my sustaining memory is always the chickens. Some people remember the fabulous beaches etc but for me it is always those indominable ‘road warriors’. On every side street to the top of Waimea Canyon they are there taking care of business.
