FNC drops out of competition for the lucrative tarot and palm reading market, capitulates to Piers Morgan.
I’ve actually been missing out on my “Dick Morris dot com” references.

I’ve got to admit, that I was on board with Dick Morris for most of the election cycle in analysis. That said, it became very apparent to me (and not to Dick), that in the 2 weeks leading up to the election(during and leading-up to hurricane Sandy) that Romney had “let” the election slip-away. Where I part ways with analysts like Bill O’Reilly, is that NOTHING Romney didn’t do, nor could have done, once Sandy was on ‘deck’, would have changed the outcome of the election. The bottom line is… Romney had not built a large enough margin in the important swing states to withstand Obama’s final surge, buoyed by Mother Nature’s gift to the Obama campaign; but I digress. Dick Morris went out on a limb, bragged about being “first” to do so; and therefore was the ‘most’ wrong relative to his peers as a result. So, Dick rolled the dice, and Dick rolled ‘Craps’.
All in all, TV Political Analysts are exactly the same as TV Sports Analysts and Weathermen, insofar as they all have no consequences for being wrong half the time. Unfortunately for Dick, his insistence on being the ‘most’ wrong, or in other words ‘making an a$$ of himself’, has cost him his job.
Just my thoughts.

Or maybe somebody at FNC woke up,and got rid of lurking leftard, before he could do too much damage?
I was betting on Obama all the way,for several reasons, but I WAS astounded by the number of so-called “experts” who predicted a Romney win.I think they used their emotions rather than their brains.
Imo, the turning point was when Chris Christy thanked “my President” for his sterling efforts on the storm front.
Did Fox fire Morris for being wrong, or being right?
He correctly identified Obama’s 2nd term radicalism before any of the establishment ” conservatives ” , and loudly criticized the Vichy Republicans in the House for caving to Obama on the so-called fiscal cliff.
Fox, by getting rid of Morris, got rid of someone who was much more critical of Obama, and much more perceptive than milquetoasts like the boring Sean Hannity. At the same time, they eliminated almost the only voice on Fox who was willing to identify the House Republicans for the Vichy saps they are. Pleasing both the left – the Republican – and the far left – Democrat -sides of the ruling class by eliminating one of their most perceptive critics was a twofer that Fox couldn’t resist.
The Democrats will be thrilled with this move.
In retrospect, Romney never really had a chance. A weak and unlike-able candidate with all of the MSM against him. A lot of conservative ‘experts’ let their emotions take over. Next time lets just skip the voting and let Nate Silver call it.
In my own defense, I don’t think that is true. I believe that, in my case anyways, that many prognosticators were projecting based on pre-internet election models/trends. The bottom line is… trends prior to elections this millennia appear to be garbage going forward. The internet has changed everything! The large majority of today’s voters vote on demographic trends, not personal ideology. THIS is the factor that I and many( I suspect) failed to acknowledge; and, Dick Morris said something very similar when O’Reilly interviewed him right after the election. It wasn’t “emotion”, it was simply ‘incorrect analysis’. JMO
I believe Candy Crowley is out as well.

All i can picture of Dick Morris is him sitting on the edge of a bed, massaging a foot and explaining that the foot is the sexiest part of the mmmmmmmphh.
I thinks Dick’s parent were very preditively correct when they named him!!!

Interesting comment, even though I have no idea what it means. Care to explain?
Morris ran his own race.
After it was over, he would either be a bum or a genius.
He was a bum.
Romney was a poor candidate who ran a poorly managed, flat, campaign, just like McCain.
And they both finished with very decent numbers.
Yeah, who’da thunk that Obama would get 109% of some districts?
Call me cynical, but….
There were a whole lot of pundits that called it wrong. Some of them actually made good arguments. But it turned out that nothing could keep the republicans from losing. After all, it could be argued that that is exactly what they set out to do. They couldn’t possibly have done a better job of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory when you think about it. Every time a favourable opportunity arose they were slow to respond and when they finally moved it was in the wrong direction. And the primaries couldn’t have been any worse for them if they had tried.(!) I had been predicting a republican loss for about 2 years as I was convinced they really did not want to be anywhere near the presidency while this economic mess was occurring. I was convinced they actually supported many of the things Obama was doing. But I allowed myself to believe people like Morris because I wanted Obama to lose, badly. I’d like to believe I won’t be fooled like that again.
Sure. The majority of voters in the US seem to vote based on how others think they should vote. For example, the average black or Mexican around here(Az) will not claim to be a socialist or communist; but, they vote for the socialist/communist party because their demographic. In these cases it’s race, or country of origin, that dictates how they should/will. Black people vote for the Democrats because that’s what blacks do; else, get austricized in the community for not toeing the line. Mexicans voted for the Dems this time around because they were Mexicans, not because they are socialists as well.
