  1. Well if they DON’T want them to become pregnant, why don’t they take advantage of their new regulations and only enlist “gay” women? And keep them away from turkey basters…
Of course, they need to be careful because the bicycles officially meet the “gay” criteria…

  2. Yes many got pregnant. But that was before Zero gave them free contraceptives. That will make all the difference, right?

  3. Selective Service must surely be overwhelmed by the numbers of females registering…

I spoke to a young lady in the Canadian Forces who was convinced by the recruiting centre to join the infantry. She gave it a shot but just hated it, she wasn’t a ‘girly-girl’ type, but running around in mud and snow while exhausted and hungry just wasn’t her thing, she didn’t seem to think too many females would be cut out for it either.
She said the guys got a rush out of it though, they loved it and wouldn’t even rack out when they had the chance, they were pumped.

  4. Philanthropist, the truth about the infantry is that most men don’t want to be in it either. (I did,and was.) And the recruiting offices suckered some of those men, too.

  5. You know there was a time when women enjoyed getting bred , they enjoyed haveing babies it was a monumental joy for her and her family it was a sign of maturity. There was a time when women liked being at home and felt they were doing there duty by taking care of there man (witch in fact made men perform better and harder in everyhting they did knowing they had a support there waiting for them and depending on them) and raising his children . Not all women but most it was a great time for women sadly it was ruined by manipulating women into thinking they were not “allowed” to work and that is was soley a mans world outside the home (and yes there were/are men who thought/think that) .And so now you have women who detest having ovaries ,kids, husbands ect ect …and in turn you have men who detest women and use them for breeding purposes and or either sexual gratification althewhile women think they are in control or have power but it can nevewr be the only power they have is to reproduce and drag a man through the system . Any women who thinks she his displaying her power and control overm en by abotiong a child is a flat out idiot when a woman produces offspring it is a sign of strength and power over her own body.
But i digress if i was in the military andh ad to watch over women i would not be in them ilitary very long as i would simply not do one extra thing for her and when i was questioned i would simply ask is does she have equal rights or does she have special rights …what ever the answer was would determin my reaction!!

  6. 50% get pregnant? They may know their rifle drill, but apparently the relatively simple Malthusian drill escapes them.

  7. Yep, but it ain’t just the military. Take any business or department undergoing a stressful period – where a sizeable proportion of it’s employees are females of reproductive age – and then watch the maternity leave skyrocket over less stressful periods.
Of course those not on mat leave get double the workload and are demoted after a year of doing a better job as a temporary replacement. Then the demoted sap has to retrain mom because she missed it all while on extended leave. Oh, and the demotion extends to any senority considerations in the future even as mom continually phones in sick to look after her wee tykes with sniffles and poo poo upsets.
That’s because the world is a feminist village, or some such nonesense.

  8. I watched an overworked one-man department have three successive assistants go on mat leave. I don’t think he got a total 6 months work from them over 4 years.

  9. The Armed Forces are selected from the top percentile of the population in terms of health and tend to stay that way (physical training, regular medical check-ups, etc.) The entry level years are also the top reproductive years – so combine all that with stress and both-sex postings away from familiar surroundings and you have ready-made mating circumstances. All mammals increase reproduction when stressed (witness the boom in wild-life population under the NATO training ranges in Labrador), so combat areas or “foreign” postings will draw those of like culture and age groups together with the expected results.
Many years ago, women were released on pregnancy or marriage (in whichever order!) so the statistics would not have been so evident – and they would also have been in ‘support’ roles (administration, supply, etc.), not combat trades. It is worth noting that getting women into the front-line positions is not too difficult, but keeping them there for more than one posting is much rarer; they all too often remuster or take release. That’s not sexism, that’s fact.

  10. Just station all the women and gay men together. Ta da.
You know there was a time when women enjoyed getting bred , they enjoyed haveing babies it was a monumental joy for her and her family it was a sign of maturity.
Oh those wistful days when women didn’t dare dream to be more than concubines.

  11. What a great idea LAS. Except unless the forces are recruited, trained and organised with the consideration of combat effectiveness overiding all others, there is actually no reason to have them at all. Anyone who is stupid enough to be leftist/progressive in their political views is stupid enough to think it’s a good idea to debase the incredible resource hog that a military establishment is and divert it to social engineering goals.
    Armies are for winning wars.

  12. On a small scale, armed forces are for killing people and destroying property.
I have heard of one instructor at a military college, perhaps RMC, who would greet his students by saying, “Good morning, professional killers.” Just to keep them focussed.
As for the topic of pregnancy in the military, I have heard that there was one Canadian Navy supply ship which became known as the “Love Boat” because of the large numbers of crew members who became pregnant while serving on her.

  13. Yep,Tooner,that LAS is a damned genius!
The gays and women’s (assuming lesbians have their own Regiments) battalion’s would be very useful as shock troops in wars against Muslim soldiers, the poor Islamic devils would be reeling in horror at whom they are facing and their combat effectiveness would be nullified.
OR,they might consider it a welcome chance to slaughter the worst of the Infidels and those units would suffer 100% casualties.I’ll ask my Imam about this next time I see him.
There’s an old saying,”if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”,and it certainly pertains to the military. Our soldiers have performed magnificently over the centuries,no need to nit pick the few problems and try to “fix” them with progressive logic and ideas.

  14. John Lewis “On a small scale, armed forces are for killing people and destroying property”
What do you mean?? Apparently many were surprised that Prince Harry might have actually killed people in war. Where would someone get the idea that soldiers would kill people?

  15. Just subject women to the same standards as men and take the cost of the pill/injection out of their paycheque.

  16. Frank, interesting that you should mention this. When you come under fire you are supposed to drop and roll so the enemy shooter does not know where you are in the grass. Obviously, too many of these pregnant soldiers rolled into their male buddy, and well, you know, things do happen.
Btw, after our last discussion on women filling direct combat roles, I read an interesting chapter in David Bullock’s “The Russian Civil War” that was about women that were active in the civil war on both sides. Only a dozen or so are mentioned, some of whom were very exceptional and vicious as well. A few that were on the White side survived the civil war, escaped and wrote about their experiences. David Bullock confirms the events related in these memoirs. Olga Ilyin and Marina Yurlova both published their memoirs.
Not saying I agree with foxhole integration though.

  17. Yeah well…during the “Great Patriotic War” the Red Army successfully deployed many very effective female snipers but did not include women in infantry or armour…..yes a lot of truck drivers….even fighter pilots.
Britain had many many female dispatch riders….in the UK…and to an extent as armourers, clerks and communications…
The Norks and the Chinese PLA deployed female infantry for a brief time and then stopped…..female military roles reverted to non-combatant swiftly…..probably for the same reasons the IDF abandoned female infantry. Pragmatism trumps ideology.

  18. One of the biggest problems in the military is the perpetual boredom. Having more women around will improve the situation.

  19. Oh, save it, LAS. Really.
Why do these women join the armed forces if one of the first things they do is get pregnant? If they want a family, great. At the very least they should stop pretending that they are trailblazers who duck out to be mummies after their spiel.
    Just saying.

  20. Sadly, Sasquatch, many in North Korea join the military for food (and even that is not a guarantee to be fed). North Korean women usually have reproductive or gynecological problems because of starvation. It also, very sadly, affects their children.

  21. Don’t be an ass. My mother, who has worked since the age of 14 in order to support HER mother’s 8 other children, loved being a Mom and would have preferred to stay home and had more children. It is only in the last 40 years or so that motherhood has been so denigrated that women see it as a dead end. Your comment is a slap in the face of all mothers.

  22. Women can learn to fight effectively and I prefer women who can take care of themselves and shoot well. However, I don’t think that having women in combat roles is a good idea.
From an evolutionary standpoint, males are expendable and most primitive cultures have from 30-50% of young males die in fighting other young males over various things, most often over women. The winner gets the woman. Considering that every mammalian species has adopted this tactic, it’s likely antifragile.
Women’s evolutionary role is to have babies and they’re a lot better at nurturing than going out and breaking things and killing people. I’m sure there are exceptions to this and the only militaristic female society I can think of were the amazons. They’re not around anymore which might give one an idea of the longevity of this particular social model.
Aviator has nailed the reason for why there’s so many pregnancies in mixed military settings. Likely most of these couplings would occur spontaneously and the woman would be most likely to be at her most fertile when she suddenly decides to have sex with a fellow soldier. An unscientific study I carried out of the timing of a womans last menstrual period in relation to the time that she had “spontaneous” sex with a stranger she met in a bar that night had a curious propensity for the women to have likely been ovulating at the time. I’ve learned not to bring this particular topic up with female patients as they seem very insulted that they could be captive to their hormones; the rationalizations I’ve heard over the years are quite elaborate.
Couples who break up can become psychotic in their antipathy for one another and jealousy is a very common human emotion. In a combat situation one doesn’t need those factors which all degrade combat effectiveness. Yes, there may be a role for all-female combat formations but the only time that men and women should be fighting side by side against an enemy is when it’s a last ditch defense.

  23. Wait until they are told they HAVE to register for Selective Service AKA The Draft.
Birth rate skyrockets. Sadly I predict welfare and other social services will be swamped and push the entitlement system further to collapse.
