Your Moral And Intellectual Superiors

Rockland Times;

A Clarkstown police report issued on December 28, 2012, confirmed that The Journal News has hired armed security guards from New City-based RGA Investigations and that they are manning the newspaper’s Rockland County headquarters at 1 Crosfield Ave., West Nyack, through at least tomorrow, Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
According to police reports on public record, Journal News Rockland Editor Caryn A. McBride was alarmed by the volume of “negative correspondence,” namely an avalanche of phone calls and emails to the Journal News office, following the newspaper’s publishing of a map of all pistol permit holders in Rockland and Westchester.

Showing Up To Riot Update:

lohud.com was hacked by 2nd amendment supporters in response to the posting of sensitive gun owner information. This database contains user email, name, username, password, name, phone number and address of ~10,000 lohud.com users

  1. The Journal News are a bunch of leftist idiots. They honestly believe they have reason to be fearful of law abiding citizens? Such a laugh but it is the same retarded pitch the Canadian leftards sell.

  2. So it is scary when you are treated the way you treat others? My sympathy cup is running over!

  3. The irony is that they might actually have done those law abiding citizens a favour by publishing the addresses of people with guns. Criminals wouldn’t necessarily use that information as a shopping list, but they WOULD take heed of the houses that have guns and shy away for easier pickings.

  4. Kate broke the Internet again!   Getting a ‘… Database’ error at the moment from clicking on the Rockland Times link.   😉
… Journal News Rockland Editor Caryn A. McBride was alarmed by the volume of “negative correspondence,” namely an avalanche of phone calls and emails to the Journal News office…
LOL.   Typical NY Mentality. &nbsp ALWAYS unprepared for those unintended consequences!
    .

  5. “…The Journal News has hired armed security guards…”
Excuse my giggling but that’s hilarious on at least a couple of levels.

  6. I guess a few Liberals are finding out that “let them eat cake” is not the best attitude to have.
As mentioned before, I really don’t think that Liberal America gets this whole “gun thing” at all.
You dummies aren’t simply poking a tiger in a cage with a stick like you seem to think you are. In fact you are goats in the middle of a field of hungry tigers that are waking up to your incessant bleating.

  7. Just another twisted strategy of starting a fire and shooting the rescuers. Pretty tough to be ready for that. NY State firemen better be armed from now on. Some terrorists are on the ground, not just flying horizontally.

  8. I hope the Journal News crew pee their panties at every creak in the house for the next 2 years

  9. What did they think would happen when they published sensitive information? For that alone they should be slapped upside the head.
But I think this is a little bit of posturing as well as true liberal fear (given that they are enormous pansies scared of their own shadows). If they can show legal gun owners as savages then they can get people to feel sorry for them. Count me out as one of those. Their disgraceful actions deserve as many lawsuits as it takes to bankrupt their grandchildren.

  10. My previous post with attribution got bogged down for moderation so I’ll just unabashedly steal this comment from another site:
“Will the Journal News be publishing the names and addresses of its newly-hired armed guards?”

  11. If they are private security and live in the area they may have already published the names and addresses of their protectors.

  12. So the Journal News is against the people being able to protect themselves with guns, but still like to do that themselves?
Why ever would they not practise what they preach? Maybe could it be because they don’t really believe in what they preach?

  13. You really can’t thank Rockland Times enough for being the architect of the finest example of hypocrisy in many a year.
Publishing all of the legal gun owners residences, and making it clear in there editorials how opposed they are to gun ownership, they staked out a position that by any rational thought would prevent their organization from relying on guns to protect themselves.
Hilariously, they cast aside their beliefs in an instant to embrace their own protection by guns.
Pretty easy to predict that their moral bankruptcy will almost certainly lead to the bankruptcy of the Rockland Times itself….. no doubt by the ongoing disappearance of their readership.
Not a good move in an environment where publications of this type are already struggling.

  14. Someone tell me who the genius was that came up with the concept to piss off everyone within 20 miles of their HQ who owns a gun. And why the management of their newspaper would say “Heck yeah, what a good idea!”

  15. I think the people at the Rockland Times were sincerely surprised at the reaction they generated. They lived inside their bubble for so long, they took it for reality. They have never had their worldview – that gun owners are a marginalized fringe group – seriously challenged before.
Not that I feel any sympathy for them – journalists should do their homework – but it’s an interesting dynamic to watch the bubble burst. Sort of like Kübler-Ross and the stages of grief.

  16. Ah – the Rockland Times is the paper that reported>/b> that the Journal News/LoHud (the fishwrap of record) had hired private security detail to maintain their status of victims against law-abiding gun owners. Far from being hypocrites, they are doing the actual job the latter pretends to do.
And yes, one of the principals of RGA Investigations was pasted on the Journal News’ own created map himself.

  17. When you are raised as a society of betas, everything is your life is measured in terms of your fear and paranoia quotient. Liberals are betas, someone always has to do the heavy lifting for them. The Journal News editor apparently doesn’t get the irony in her actions. The reason they had to go to private security was that the police saw no credible threat in any of the material they reviewed. A self-manufactured crisis. In a word, paranoia.

  18. Can you imagine the entertainment in that building, if someone touched off a string of firecrackers as the boss lady was walking from her car, into the building…

  19. But, they’ve done a real disservice to the homes without guns. Now the criminals know which houses are unlikely to meet their break-in with a loaded weapon. This list has made these homes much more vulnerable.
    ‘Reason for some law suits?

  20. Ah, but firecrackers are most likely illegal there, robins111. And since the Journal News lurches in the correct direction, I would not be particularly surprised to see the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, as well as their overlords in the Department of “Justice”, treat such as a major violation of explosives laws.

  21. Ban guns from law abiding citizens?
Take them first from law enforcement then, and see where that goes.

  22. Sounds good to me, Jason. But I do not expect that will gain much traction from our Betters. Nor from their fellow travelers on the Left.
