  3. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Someone seems intent to open a big can of worms…if not opening themselves to a big lawsuit. Self righteous indignant morality with a whole bunch of unintended consequences…(did I say it right?)

  4. Information is so freely accessible these days that no one is free. People are too willing to share who and what they are with the world, so then the world has a right to them. Wackos have the freedom to stalk and kill whomever they wish, calculating their own timing and modus operandi. Again, firearms are quite secondary to this situation. Registries in themselves are capable of much greater harm.

  6. It seems a bit strange that the Citizen states there are some 720,000 non-restricted semi automatic rifles registered in Canada. I was under the impression that there were none! Are these numbers for Quebec alone? Cheers, (and thanks Vic, Stephen) Eric

  8. There are many semi-auto rifles, from .22 caliber on up to 338. Paint them black and put a “hangy-down” zthing on it and they’re banned. Truly the inmates are running the asylum. I think in the countries where the people were slaughtered by their governments, those same people helped the government take the guns and then the control. SHEEPLE!!!

  9. I have attempted to note on the FWIW site that these are most likely “gun free” zones, so that any criminals contemplating robbery will know to not take any weapons to those homes. Not sure if that will make it through the moderation or not.
    But then you all know that’s just the type of A**hole that I am…

  12. There is another way to look at this. Maybe the bad guys will look at this and skip those homes that own guns. I bought a protection dog. The ex-cop who sold it to me said don’t put a Beware of Dog sign on your door. If your dog bites someone you can get nailed for having a dog that you knew would bite someone. I put a bumper sticker on my house. It says “I heart my German Shepherd”. Bad people always look for soft and quite targets they are cowards and want the deck stacked in their favor.

    Leftoids that don’t see any problem with this would also never think that the bad guys would target the gun owners in order to stock their armory when the gun owner is away. Like listing all single rich widows, information is out there but listing it publicly would not be sound logic.

    OTOH, criminals now know what addresses don’t have guns. I can see a lawsuit …

  20. Holy mackerel, I did a Google Earth street view on her joint, and it’s a burglar’s paradise.
    Hedged-in back yards, man-sized basement windows, poor visibility from the neighbours’ houses – and NO guns! I mean, how can you feel secure?

  22. They just told every rapist and murderer in the country which homes in that area are SAFE to hunt because there is NO licensed gun owner living there!
    Now thieves looking for guns have a roadmap and those looking for easy human prey in NO-GUN homes have their own.
    This woman is an accomplice to any and all crimes in the area that her “treasure map” helps commit.

  23. Here is how we should play this:
    Say that those cretins publish my name and address. I would arrange a ‘theft’ with one of my friends. I would make sure I am out of the house at the right time, I would sacrifice a window in the house – and my friend would break in and ‘steal’ my guns.
    Being a law abiding citizen, I would call the cops, report the theft and cooperate with them as much as I could. I would then call my lawyer and sue the lickspittles in the media that published that contemptable article and cash in. Once the heat is off, my friend returns my firearms, they are all de-registered, and I have protection for life regardless of what gun banning idiots like Obutthole do.
    It is a win for everyone – except the gun grabbers and the journalists.

    NPR has now closed the poll…it went from 42% “not fair” to 50% “not fair” very quickly.
    SDA showed up to riot!

  27. I sent an email explaining my abhorrence of this paper’s actions to all the ‘journalist’s’ listed.
    Many have replied stating it wasn’t them or I’m misinformed or my contact was causing their families discomfort.
    My reply was:
    The paper you are employed at has harassed thousands of law abiding citizens. The publishing of names etc. was beyond the pale. Maybe you and your colleagues should explain the discomfort you just experienced to your employer. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. My email to you and your colleagues is no more outrageous than your employer’s actions. I would expect that until your employer operates within the bounds of decency, non can be expected in return.
