30 Replies to “Is There A Canadian Equivalent For “Birther”?”

  1. The judge hearing the case is, if I recall correctly, one of the authour’s of Canada’s Firearms Act and Regulations.
This is just an aside, not that it should have any ideological bearing on the case at hand.

  2. This blog takes FOREVER to load. You do realize that it’s no longer 2005? Outdated and dull. Lame, lame, lame.

  3. Everyone with a functioning brain knows that Frank Graves is a LIEberal push poller.
“The Conservative party lawyer produced screen shots from the Elections Canada website showing three donations by Mr. Graves to former Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff and current party chief Bob Rae between 2006 and 2008.
Mr. Graves, who had previously said he did not believe he had ever donated directly to Mr. Ignatieff or Mr. Rae, said his office recorded the cheques as donations to the party.
“They’re modest amounts from six, seven years ago, and I honestly don’t recall. Nor do I understand the discrepancy for how they appear in our books and how they appear on Elections Canada,” he said.”
So Frank “Culture War” Graves is going to present himself as an ‘independent and objective’ polling expert.
    Yeah, that’s gonna work for sure…. 🙂
    Cheers

  4. The whole case is a drive-by smear. Leftist standard operating procedure, we see all the time; dirt innuendo, gossip.
They don’t have anyone who was prevented from voting. And no idea who Pierre Poutine is. How much thinner of foundation for a trial, can you get? Sheesh.

  5. Next up, the Council of Cans, will bring in, expert witness, Bob, the wino, as he thinks there was something fishy.

  6. Hey, Cameron: if you don’t like it, you should demand your money ba…OH WAIT.
As for the topic at hand, the whole thing is just farcical, but it definitely seems the fix is in. I really hope the CPC wins this one, as the lawfare is starting to approach US proportions.

  7. shiite, wasn’t WeeWilly McKlinton trying to define the word “IS”, are these lieberals all the same, and that stupid. OK, that’s retorical

  8. I suggest Kate establish a poll here on sda in which participants rate the level of Frank Graves’ party hackedry. Following that, she needs someone to sign an affidavit attesting to the veracity of the poll results and to the character of the pollster.
    Call it “Exhibit B.”

  9. The G&M says “left-leaning Council of Canadians”. Left leaning? They are the flaming radical extreme left wing of the NDP for crying out loud. Like the vast majority of the left, they refuse to accept losing and, following Rob Ford’s travails, have decided to try using the courts to do their dirty work

  10. Lets take a pill everyone. The judge is hearing the evidence but has NOT ruled on its admissibility, nor has he ruled on its weight. It may be inadmissible. It may be admitted but nevertheless largely ignored (weight).

  11. The case cannot be won unless the lawyers can prove Liberal voters are easily misled … or stupid.

  12. Your comments will appear if you navigate from the site momentarily. Reminds me of Homer Simpson.
When he is shown a high powered cooker that will deep fry a large turkey in 40 seconds he says, “40 seconds, but I want it now”

  13. Disappointing that his testimony wasn’t thrown out.
But perhaps more damage will be done to the accusers if he does testify…

  14. cameron, your complaint sounds like a first world problem demotivational poster. Be thankful for this blog existing at all. As to the speed remember the days when 486 computers and copper wire phone lines were all that was available?
    P.S. Thanks Kate!

  15. Whenever someone mentions the Council of Canadians, my mind immediately goes to their head honchess, the one and only batshit crazy Maud Barlow. That
    does it for me.

  16. Sickening, it’s a witch-hunt and the judicial system should be ashamed, not one shred of evidence against the conservatives and yet here we watch this sham take place. Trial by heresay evidence, jesus wept.

  17. Information speeds at us from all over the world at blazing speed.
FREEDOM sometimes takes a few seconds to load.
    Thanks SDA

  18. If the judge has any common sense, one question to each of the eight witnesses can deem this vexatious and have the case tossed.
“when you cast your vote did the phone call make you change your mind how or if you would vote?”

    They vote Liberal, don’t they?

  20. This is a little odd.
    Laura Payton is doing a live blog for cbc and one of her tweets say;
” 10:21 AMLaura Payton @laura_paytonAs for $200 or so donations to LPC, Graves didn’t try to conceal. Donations don’t disqualify someone from giving evidence, Shrybman says.”
    http://live.cbc.ca/Event/Federal_Court_hears_election_calls_case_-_Day_3?Page=1
    But if you go to Elections Canada website and check the records ,you find this info;
    Full name: Francis L. Graves
    City: Rockcliffe Park
    Province: ON
    Postal code: K1L8J3
He made 18 monthly contributions of $91.66 between Sept. 2009 and Dec. 2010.
He also made one contribution of $250.00.
The $91.66 contributions indicate that he was likely a menber of the “Victory Fund” or the “Laurier Club”.
That is more than $2,000,not a couple of hundred that the CBC and others are sluffing off as “nothing to see here”.
    http://www.elections.ca/scripts/webpep/fin2/detail_report.aspx
The above link does not get you directly to the page that lists Grave’s contributions, but it is not hard to find from there.

  21. Camerons not reading this, just another drive by.
But perchance he/she or any buddies drive back by in their too busy to wait a milli-second life, heres some advice:
Two words, first starts with an F, second finishes with the same and you can always add tosser to the end of them.

  22. Graves’s $250 contribution was to Bob Rae’s leadership bid. Bob Rae,the current leader of the Libs, and one of the more annoying and persistent voices behind’robocall’.
The other contributions were to the Liberal Party of Canada.
I have not read any transcript of the trial, but if Graves was asked about contributing to the Liberal Party and he says he doesn’t remember,he should be charged with perjury.

  23. I,m Confused here! I thought the Robo calls where mostly from Liberal ridings? That this was a mirage by frustrated losers looking to make illegitimate an election. There still at it after being provenly they themselves where the biggest users of this dubious practice?
These are mad men if they thinki to paint they own sins onto others.

  24. THis is why Canada scores only 9th on the world transparancy index (ninth least corrupt).
When we should be first … get rid of liberals and dippers and we get rid of 90% of the rot in this nation.

  25. The msm and the hangers on, like Graves (what a silly name for such a feather weight!) are not getting their ‘gravy’ anymore. This is not about just elections, this is about a bunch of widdle wee pea brained groupies who are being forced to pay for their own much smaller binging (booze, smokes, flights, taxpayer suites in luxury hotels…) thingies.
