Sorry didn’t see your link until after I posted.
The GOP needs to cut out its immoral moralizing BS. They also need to learn to love immigration or at least pretend to.
Republicans once had the House, Senate as well as the White House — with a President having a one time approval of 91%. Yet it failed to enforce the southern border.
If by immigration you mean illegal immigration, it has been continuing steadily during both Republican and Democratic administrations.
Legal immigration good. Illegal immigration bad.
Thank you, Rizwan!
I would take the graphic reality of the situation even further – the US ship of state is like a powerful big caddy hurtling down a mountain road heading towards a hair pin turn and driven by an intoxicated fool – the “point of no return” was the warning sign he passed a mile ago that said cliff ahead slow down > He passed that at 90mph and went over the cliff — like inebriated fools in that big comfy car hurtling towards earth in free fall, they all have a fool’s sense of security because they haven’t hit the canyon floor yet so they think everything is fine and they can continue driving like they have been – they’re oblivious to the fact they are in free-fall.
But that is the situation now, over a debt cliff and in currency collapse free fall, with a bunch of inebriates on board feeling smug as they crank out tons of the last debt backed Obama-bucks before they impact on the bottom of the inflation canyon.
Point of no return passed because there is now no way to pay back the debt principle with inflated currency that loses value and buying power with every debt-issued dollar thet rolls off the mint presses – and a debt interest that compounds a a faster rate than economic growth or government revenues – they will NEVER have enough hard currency to pay off the debt – the US is now the bitch of whoever is holding that massive credit marker (the Chinese). I do believe the kleptocrats who are running the country will incumber every square mile of public and private land and resources as collateral to keep predatory creditors from collapsing the dollar/economy.
Past the point of no return? – hell we’re just waiting for the catastrophic impact.
Legal immigration good. Illegal immigration bad.
Why? Because THE LAW IS THE LAW and must be venerated regardless of how unjust and asinine it is? Do you know that it’s basically impossible to legally immigrate into the states or do you not care because gotta keep out brown people?
Every “entitlement” has been enacted through legislation. They can be eliminated through legislation as well.
Everything we consume has to be produced first. The way to a rising standard of living is to adopt a fully free market system so that individuals can judge the value of goods and services. Voluntary trade for mutual benefit is a win-win situation that provides a rising standard of living. Government intervention in the economy distorts this process and slows the rise in the standard of living, and can actually reduce it.
The solution is to free up the economy by eliminating all interventions and regulations. There may be a few exceptions: banking and finance, safety, and the environment, but even here 90%-plus should be able to go. All of this will enable the economy to grow at a much higher rate.
After a grace period of around five years, start cutting the welfare state. The idea is to have unemployment so low through the free market measures described earlier that many “entitlements” can be severely reduced mostly through attrition. Pensions will have to linger on much longer than welfare or unemployment insurance.
Meanwhile, the ridiculous complexity of the tax system should be streamlined. Every loophole and preference is a massive drain on the economy. Corporations should be taxed at a single low rate, and I personally think it would be better on gross income rather than profits. Individual income tax can retain a personal exemption, spouse and possibly kids, and charity. Everything else is out.
And every “activist group” that collects government subsidies should be cut off immediately. Subsidies to business should be likewise eliminated as soon as possible.
Every economic problem can be traced back to coercion. Government has a monopoly on coercion, but its proper function is to step in when one citizen uses coercion on another. It cannot improve the economy, because the economy requires the free judgment of individuals to function properly.

“Do you know that it’s basically impossible to legally immigrate into the states”
Bullsh!t.
You lie like all lefties lie regardless of the harm and consequences. No different than a monkey flinging poo around his own cage.

It’s the truth like it or not. So many people wouldn’t immigrate illegally if it weren’t.

All good points on the way it was meant to work. Obama is going the opposite direction on every point listed and that’s what the majority voted for. And that’s why we’re screwed.
@nv53
Man can only flourish economically and spiritually under freedom. By definition that means the right to be left alone providing he upholds the equal right of others to be left alone

Ha ha, who drew the “fact cartoon” for you, your cousin Pedro?
Whatever LAS, you’re either too stupid or just plain gullible to understand what shitting in your own nest means.
We’ll take it from here, thanks.
For all I had a promotion from….Flint in a for the 1991 in years. Flint was a real bad those years for about 60 miles. Thanks for Mr Kaigler and for the blogger for the UM Flint “Carp Diem” for Dr Perry the http://mjperry.blogspot.com/ — it’s a economics for may years. Thanks.
Oh ho biting retort Knightcap. You’re clearly quite the intellect. Are you going to get all the way through your ABCs tonight?
I will not panic yet.
America really, for all intents and purposes, hasn’t begun to hurt from all this Obamunism. Sure, a few hundred companies laid off a few thousand people the day after Obama’s victory – but that is a drop in the bucket.
Wait until EVERYONE is feeling the heat. There will be ZERO patience for the corrupt union slugs at the Big Three. There will be ZERO tolerance for the lazy, incompetent teacher’s unions. There will be ZERO sympathy for the career welfare and entitlement slobs. In short – Obama’s power base is going to shrink by orders of magnitude in the days ahead – the nation cannot afford them anymore.
Once that happens – true hope and change can take root.

Of course I would come across as “quite the intellect” to a self admitted dope head such as you.
That is why I am not a loser.
The best intellectual advice I could give you is “quit the dope”, I’ve had to fire more dopers than lazy immigrants in my professional career.
Interview Tom Lewkewski if you want to hear something scary
The biggest threat we have is ignorance. Cut 600 bilion a year from the military. This would be a good start.Don’t blame Obama. He inherited a mess.
