Democrat National Convention News

Do 45%+ of Americans consider this Vancouver born woman to be inspirational and representative of those “leaders” who will rescue them financially?

Some are asking an interesting pair of questions:

Was Jennifer Granholm Drunk?     Or just Canadian?

Related: A superb summary of the DNC Convention by Peggy Noonan:

What a fabulously confident and ingenuous-seeming political narcissist Ms. Fluke is. She really does think—and her party apparently thinks—that in a spending crisis with trillions in debt and many in need, in a nation in existential doubt as to its standing and purpose, in a time when parents struggle to buy the good sneakers for the kids so they’re not embarrassed at school . . . that in that nation the great issue of the day, and the appropriate focus of our concern, is making other people pay for her birth-control pills. That’s not a stand, it’s a non sequitur. She is not, as Rush Limbaugh oafishly, bullyingly said, a slut. She is a ninny, a narcissist and a fool. And she was one of the great faces of the party in Charlotte. That is extreme. Childish, too.

  1. She now lives in Cali. teaching at – wait for it – Berkeley! About 30 seconds after her last paycheck cleared as Governor of Mich, she had her bags packed and moved out.

  2. Rise Up rise up rise up Canada er US, you don’t have to take this anymore, rise up, is this twit Iggys sister? Best export since Howie Mandel, some of Canadas greatest idiots at least have the decency to leave Canada and try to make America look stupider if that was possible after they elected Obama.

  3. That was the equivalent of a pep rally for a Junior High sport event. Given that those cheering are supposedly adults, it played like a surreal science fiction horror movie of a dystopian future that no one of sound mind would want to be a part of. They were essentially worshiping at the alter of free stuff and sacrificing freedom for it. Mindless looters and thugs cheering an eco-feminist witch-doctor!

  4. Mark “Is there a way we can erase the Canadian connection?”
Use Obama’s guys. They’ve got everyone thinking he was born in the U.S.

  5. Sorry, one other point — Scar, 1:42a.m.:
No criticism meant, but you might want to be careful what you wish for — she could end up being President of the United States…

  6. Is it OK to say I found it to be an articulate and rousing speech by an attractive cougar? Not that I agreed with a word she said.

  7. Thank GOD for teleprompters. She neglected to mention that those designers of cars, the management class, had their pensions aborgated by Obama. No bailout for Delphi. She neglected to mention, how ironic that the one woman was holding a sign for FORD, that one of the big 3 saw what was happening, went to the capital markets early for financing, and was able to say no thanks to the govt when the crap hit the fan. What I heard on WJR (detroit radio) while she was governor was the steady decline on Detroit and Michigan as unionism and government choked the life out of the prosperity. Michigan has bounced back a bit under a business oriented and trained governor but the rot runs deep and thorough. Thankfully we exported her to the USA long ago, unfortunately we have lots left in Canada to take her place.

No. And you’re not allowed to tour the nuthouse and laugh at the crazy people.

  9. She apparently hasn’t looked at the price of GM stock recently. The crowd was scarier than she was.
None of the foreign badged auto makers in the US came limping in for a bailout that I recall.
I have to admit that Ford and GM car quality is improving, but they’e only had 40 years to figure out this was necessary. Every GM car I’ve ever owned has made the 100 Worst Cars list. I’ve given up taking that risk.
I looked at a Ford recently, and all things considered it was nice but still inferior to the comparable Honda, Toyota, Nissan and VW. It’s price was itbest selling point. And all the Jap cars were built in the US. Now it makes me wonder if this drunken idiot was including auto jobs for non bailed out and non American badged auto makers.
If we didn’t fight against it in World War II, then I won’t buy it.
