  10. Bob Costas was patronizing and oozing chauvinism about the first black all-around champion and how little black girls can dream right before the commercial starts. He made it all about race.
    Since Costas and NBC made Gabriel Douglas’ victory a racial event and not a sports event, they should be hammered for their stupidity in showing the monkey 10 seconds later.
    It is a stupid error, but since MSNBC and NBC like to castigate and fault others for less, I say let them reap the fruits of their political correctness.
    Maybe they will be more forgiving of others in the future. /sarc

  15. Unrelated to Race but related to NBC: last night my friend & I were watching coverage of the running race that involved a South African fellow with artificial legs. He ended up coming in 2nd. The NBC announcer said, “He’s a winner and we’re all winners for being able to watch this moment in history!”
    I was sloughed out on the sofa having a drink while I watched the TV. So nice to know that this very action made me a WINNER!!!

  16. As if the butthead technicians who play the ads even had a clue what was on the ad or as if they actually listened to the crap oozing from the mouth of the butthead announcer. The ad was probably stacked in a rotating cue and just came up at an inopportune (opportune?) time.

    Everyone knows that NBC is full of racists which is why Lamont won’t stand for the national anthem.
    If I recall, Dominique Dawes won a gold medal with the 1996 Olympic team. She was also the overall champion in the US Senior Championship in 1994.
    Some day we might have a black president.
