On Feb 26, 2010, as part of their first response to Climategate, Thomas Stocker, a Climategate correspondent of Phil Jones and by then Co-Chair of AR5 WG1, sent a still secret letter to all WG4 Lead Authors, Coordinating Lead Authors and Review Editors under the letterhead of WG1, purporting, it seems, to represent the parent IPCC organization. The existence of this secret email came to light as a result of David Holland’s persistence in trying to cut through IPCC authoritarianism and secrecy. After learning of its existence, David submitted an FOI request, which has been refused, and which is now under appeal at the Tribunal.

I prefer to point to that Swiss alpine pass, clearly marked on Roman maps, with evidence of a Roman Road…still somewhat blocked by ICE….the receding glacier has exposed Bronze Age, Roman and medieval artifacts indicative of heavy traffic during those times. ET, IMO this is the most aggregious example of this living in a false narrative you refer to with the Obama administration. In what follows I will explain how recent global climate history drives nails into the coffin of manmade global warming at every turn. But first lets get one thing straight, I don’t “do” dates when talking about history. For one thing the calendar is uncertain with missing days here and missing days there and competing theories (gregorian, julian etc) and so it would be biased to pick any one. Dates are unnecessary anyway it turns out. I can instead to reference history by temperature periods. So when I say “Medieval Warm Period” or “Little Ice Age” these define themselves and it’s logically absurd to ask me to nail them down to a specific period of dates or to demand history to be chronologically consistant.
The Roman Warm Period
Britain is too cold today for an army to invade it wearing skirts. But the Romans did exactly that. Furthermore the Romans could only invade places that could produce wine. Therefore it must have been a lot warmer globally in Roman Times. QE2.
Medieval Warm Period
If it was warm in Roman times it was about to get a lot warmer. Without any help from man the Earth warmed up of it’s own accord thereby disproving manmade global warming before Al Gore was even born. […]

And this allegation proves what? First of all there is no reliable evidence about the moisture levels in North America and even if it were true that it was very dry in NA what would it prove? That NA was warmer or that NA was cooler. Both warmer and cooler or stasis could induce drier conditions. Take the present drought in the US. It is also very hot. Ergo the dry NA you cite could easily be the result of the Medieval Warm period. Now please grab a brain.
These frauds from CRU and UEA along with Hanson conspired to and did falsify the data they were using and the results they reported. They were doing this to create a result they desired.
1-The revealed communications between them prove this.
2- The data they cite compared to unmollested data from the same time frame proves this.
3- The modelling method they used was designed to produce a predetermined result. Proper analysis of even their flawed and corrupt data proves this.
4- The data they used was highly selective. Even a cursory look at data from beyond their time frame proves that the work they did was incomplete and insufficient to prove anything.
What do they hope to accomplish by hiding any further communications?
Assume what you wish. But if anything can be inferred from their past behaviour it is that these people are not credible scientists or believable liars. They are simply, activists and agenda driven frauds who have been exposed and discredited.
No amount of covering up is going to change this fact.

A little bit of history for you: When Europeans first explored the North American plains, a huge portion of it was considered unfit for human habitation and was called the great desert. That was still during the cool period known as the Little Ice Age. It was also dryer than a popcorn fart then.
Whether it was wet or dry isn’t the question. The question is, Is human activity causing dangerous global warming? And the answer to that is clearly no.
