  1. From the story:
“Kinder eggs are prohibited just like narcotics are prohibited,” he said. “Our officers, if they encounter prohibited stuff, they’re subject to seizure.”
This probably means that U.S. Customs and Border Protection will now be training dogs to sniff out Kinder Eggs.

  2. Just this past Christmas, I bought Kinder Eggs (I live in the US) for my kids. I don’t know if this is new, or just a randomly enforced law.

  3. Millions can slip over the southern border, but if you dare try and bring a candy egg into the Land of the Free, Johnny Law will be on you like white on rice!

  4. So why didn’t the border guard show a little sense, inform them that the eggs were contraband, and simply toss them in the trash?
    “Have a nice day!”

  5. Putting on a uniform turns some people into a55h0les. It is a surprisingly common phenomenon.

  6. So freedom is lost, one little bit at a time. It is lost for the children of course. These people obviously were “enemies of the people”.

  7. “his husband”…that’s what’s wrong with this country. Sodom and Gomorrah.

  8. Didn’t get past ‘his husband’ either. No need, I read Kinder Surprise and US border in another story online. Got the story; no need to read this one.

  9. Bit of a fluff piece here. A customs agent acting out his superiority issues, finds something to nitpick about and lets the girly men stew a few hours before giving a stern warning. It could be a good story over a few beer but these wusses are making it an international news item.
btw, “his husband” also brings up a little bile when I hear it.

  10. I guess they raised the stakes up from a war on drugs to one on Chocolate eggs.

  11. Hey.One of them Kinder Suprises might have the Zero’s real birth cirtificate,Arabic and all. Can’t have that now,can we?
