I wonder if the Yukon gument knew this when they let half the Yukon forest burn a few years ago? Birds roasted on their nests and wild animals were BBQed because the fires were so hot and because it was June. Now it is cold up here in the winter and spring and fall and most of the summer. Humm?
It is certain that it will be cold for a very long time as it takes years for a tree to grow up here. Glo bull warm up solved.

This is the method used by grape growers in the Niagara peninsula to keep the air moving if there is a threat of frost during critical times during the growing season.
The picture of this wind turbine pad indicates the height of stupidity that these AGW idiots will go to.

  3. nold, in the case of solar power, there’s even a question as to whether it’s a net energy source. It may take more energy to make solar panels, including all of the materials, than they will produce during their lifetime.

  4. “Doing real environmental damage in order to prevent imaginary environmental damage”.
Isn’t that so true and so true of the many issues of our time. Government spends an inordinate amount of time fighting phantoms and “boogie men” that exist only in the minds of our intellectual betters. The boogie man representing “the intolerant Canadian” or the boogie man in “24D lawn pesticides” are just a couple of issues that come to mind.

“Doing real environmental damage in order to prevent imaginary environmental damage”.
That is precisely the MO of Dalton McGuinty in Ont. A recent study by Ont Engineers commissioned by the government concluded that if unlimited wind power was accepted onto the grid, displaced nuclear power would result in exponentially rate increases, and increased CO2 levels. This because wind would require extensive gas fired backup, or power blackouts.
Hard to believe, but the Ont Engineers are a reasonably objective body in this debate.

  6. BTW…
This SDA thread made the SUN’s “Menzoid Morning” today (6 AM Eastern)…That’s cool…I suspect Menzoid will pick SDA headlines quite often…Bravo!

  7. Someone should send some of these photos to one of the militant enviro groups without context (perhaps allude to mining or some such activity) and see if they can get a quotable rise out of them…..
