    agreed – and…
    it’s my understanding that besides producing a flag for quebec (that flies to this day) – duplessis (a conservative) built more schools, hospitals, and roads than all of his predecessors combined. not too shabby a legacy for someone mythically portrayed as mean, ugly, and stunted by the socialists who can hardly disguise their totalitarian leanings. this explains “la grande noirceur.” keeps them busy – all that re-writing of history
    optimistically – they don’t stand a chance in the long run. the worst they can do is make it uncomfortable for people who will not buy into the orthodoxy.
