Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
“My name is Paige Kezima…”
“The Voice of Students” is comprised of intelligent and eager students committed to advocating for the needs and wants of our students. Our platform is as follows:
– Lobby for a tuition freeze
– Increase funding to student groups and societies
– Review the locker tax
– Make more money available to student groups and societies

I think we all know the real reason we attack her.
Folks, before some of you deem what you’ve read the “innocent, mindless ramblings of an ignorant young woman”, please read this.
Like many on the Left, Ms. Kezima hates Jews. As they all do, she’ll spin it as “being against the actions of Israel toward Palestinians” but we all know what is revealed when you start peeling back the onion.
In the big picture, of course she’s entitled to her free speech, but there is nothing wrong with her fellow Canadians speaking out against such young, bigoted Marxists.
If you google this girl’s name and place it in the context of her twitter feed, you’ll soon come to the conclusion that all she does is protest, tweet, drink and sleep.
…and takes vacations with her “fam”. Ahem!
CGH >
“Your display of sneering supposed moral superiority here makes me vomit.”
🙂
“The evidence before the court is
Incontrovertible, there’s no need for
The jury to retire.
In all my years of judging
I have never heard before
Of someone more deserving
Of the full penalty of law.
The way you made them suffer,
Your exquisite wife and mother,
Fills me with the urge to defecate!
“Hey Judge! Shit on him!”
Since, my friend, you have revealed your
Deepest fear,
I sentence you to be exposed before
Your peers.
Tear down the wall!”
“- Lobby for a tuition freeze
– Increase funding to student groups and societies
– Review the locker tax
– Make more money available to student groups and societies”
What, no free contraceptives?? That’s like, totally the most important student need of all!!
Too bad that cgh and LindaL are naïve enough to be co-opted by a whining, femme fatal, opportunistic, political activist like Paige. (Maybe they’e related to her . . .)
Yes, small scorpions and cobras are very dangerous, as are the Paiges of this world, who are educated from the earliest age to be fifth columnists: these activist kids are entitled, misinformed, dangerous moles. (OWS, G20, the Vancouver/London rioters, and certain Liberal, Green and NDP politicians, anyone?) As an elementary school teacher, I’ve dealt with legions of these stupid and arrogant tyrants—mini Oba-maos in training. There’s nothing innocent or trustworthy about them: like Zer0, they’ll throw under the bus anyone who doesn’t goose step to the drum beat of their statist agenda.
Instead of wasting his/her time posting bilge here, why doesn’t cgh send Paige a nice little note—or even some flowers? Something pro-active like that should take care of this person’s angst, which is quite misplaced here. Hop to it, cgh, and while you’re at it, why not smarten up and remove that dupe-cap you’re wearing?
As someone completely disinterested in social media, it must be useful for young people for screening who is worth getting to know or not, as in the case of this parasite in training. Still, it’s a sad injustice that this person doesn’t have to endure hard labour for ten hours a day in order to survive like 90% of the people on the rest of the planet.

True, Sam, true. Only those of us whose lives are blighted by our own supernatural beauty can truely understand 🙁
Loki – your analysis of her is funny but probably overcomplicated. A more likely reason for her silly tweet is that she flunked first grade arithmetic and so doesn’t know that 24 – 10 = 14. Or perhaps she flunked kindergarten and never learned that there are 24 hours in a day.
Paige says, “Make more money available to student groups and societies”. Any bets that her demand excludes the pro-life student group—that is, if it hasn’t been banned?
In the lexicon of progressives, “diversity and tolerance” take on a whole new meaning—as in the opposite of their clear meaning. Like Kate says, “the opposite of diversity is university”. Re those who’ve fallen for “little” Paige’s disingenuous blathering, I believe the term is “useful idiot’. Those people may be naïve, but they’re also dangerous enablers—the kind who were hoodwinked by and voted for Zer0. Kyrie eleison.
If you google this girl’s name and place it in the context of her twitter feed, you’ll soon come to the conclusion that all she does is protest, tweet, drink and sleep.
That’s what Saskatchewan is for, to provide examples of how not to be…the whole place is a socialist wreck.
You can see how Logan’s Run and Solynet Green will become a reality soon.
No need for older folk like you in here who can see past the next day, or understand the principle of sowing and reaping.
Like lookout said these folks will throw anyone under the bus who doesn’t goose step with them.
So too, why have older people, they are a drain on the system, tax dollars and living spaces when so many young folk need a place to live and increased EI payments.
Just watch, once these little darling are of election age, we just need a leader who will pander to their wishes and promises of free education, housing and mortgage payments…
*blink*
Um, never mind.
Robert,
They’re the mindless ramblings of an ignorant young woman, period. No innocence here.
Beth Esdaguy has it right when she says there aren’t enough o’s in stoopid to describe her.
Interesting read, companies are now asking, if not demanding, to see your Facebook and Twitter accounts during interviews.
Wonder what these jewels in the rough will think of posting things.
Guess this could go in Reader tips, but meant to add it onto the converstation in here.
http://www.lawtechie.com/2012/03/companies-now-demanding-to-see-facebook-accounts-of-potential-employees/
Today, the Associated Press reports about companies that are asking job applicants for their Facebook log-in credentials, or to log in during the interview, or otherwise reveal information about their social media profiles.

I can actually partially see where those defending Kezima are coming from. One could reasonably conclude that she is being picked on here.
However, she is a young adult, not a child. And she really, REALLY puts herself out there. She has repeatedly espoused both pro-Marxist and anti-Semitic world views.
Is it better to sit down and say nothing against such views or to stand up and condemn them?
She ‘s going into social work?
I think she should join the Toronto Police Service.
Same thing isn’t it?
She’s likely wind up as chief in about three years.
One last post about divulging Facebook, give them this free URL if they want to see your Facebook page.
Gets the point across very clearly:
http://www.facebook.com/outsideofwork
Loki @4:21 – “(c)she’s a user of sedative/hypnotic drugs – have never understood why some people want to sleep their lives away with the help of sedatives.”
If your life is eaten up by fear, relief therefrom is a wonderful oasis, to say the least. (I am not typing about Paige Kazima, with whose drug habits, such as they are, [legal drugs are still drugs] I am only aquainted from my sporadic [i.e. when it comes up on SDA], exposure to her twittering.)
Comma got messed up on that one. Brackets within brackets, oy.
I’m so glad that so many of you are providing evidence for my point. You simply aren’t capable of any more civilised behaviour than a gang of illiterate street thugs. I challenged the lot of you to defend your hypocrisy, and you are only capable of crude insult.
You lose.
@Robert, nothing in my post particularly defends Kezima, which is where knight, nme, lookout and the rest totally miss the point. Quite simply, the proper target is the corrupt institutions that create thinking like hers.
Oh come on folks you don’t need to make fun of this infantile adult. She is doing a stellar job of it all by herself.
There’s no such thing as a “corrupt institution”. Only corrupt individuals.
For too long, so-called “youth” (who are by the measure of every previous generation, adults) have been given a free pass on their hypocrisies by a sympathetic media. That has to stop, or our universities will never change.
Activists who seek to change public policy should never be shielded from exposure and criticism, no matter their age.
For the benefit of other youths who don’t know any better, those who are the most likely to succeed in a business are the ones who put 60+ hours in per week at work. They are highly driven, usually have (and spend little time with) a spouse, and subordinate the rest of their lives to becoming a success. I will not ever be a CEO nor vice president because I am not willing to work those hours nor to spend that much time away from my family.
That she is the head of a student union means that she is ambitious. That she wants to sleep 14 hours a day means that she is lazy. She would never be a success in the private world, and appears to be the larval form of a career bureaucrat who gets fulfillment out of denying others the ability to reach their own dreams. As such, she is a danger to all of us who just want to be left alone to live our lives. There is a reason that Aesop didn’t have the grasshoppers managing food storage for the ants.
Kate, of course there are corrupt institutions. The bricks and mortar are irrelevant. “Institutions” refers to the individuals who guide such places, how they think, and foist their false views on the young and stupid. War isn’t about mowing down foot soldiers. It’s about getting the leaders who give a movement or way of thinking its direction. You’re just wasting time and ammunition if you try to bring down a buck by blowing off whiskers.
Ellie in T.O.,
She supports government funded abortion. She called me a misogynist for being against it 🙂
And yet, we all get one vote. It’s probably nothing.
cgh at 1:13 PM
there is a level of intelligence at which the holder of such a level can think for themselves
now ALL you have to do is apply the wisdom of “broken window” that was suscessfull in NYC to the foolishness taught in schools
or must I point out that the Jesuits say”give me a boy till 7, I’ll give you the man”
IE; nip it in the butt at a ripe young age, as that is when the learning effect is the most effective
C_Miner wrote “That she is the head of a student union means that she is ambitious.”
…or an attention whore.
Unfortunately the self-absorbed preening from this young person is not unusual; you can run into people like this every day. Their world view has been shaped by clueless propagandists who think that math skills and logic are disiplines destined for the trash heap. Their own confidence levels and self worth levels are off the meter yet their actual worth as a contributing citizen barely moves the register.
Mere assertion, cgh. I suggest you prove your point or keep quiet.
Jeff – I was trying to be nice. When trying to keep the interest of those with a segmented world-view like a fly’s compound eyes, should one use sugar or vinegar? (note: deet is not an option in this case – we’re trying to win minds, not follow our enemies in destroying minds)
More money for “student groups and societies” is so important it is included in 50% of her platform points. Or maybe she just forgot…
And that is the entire point of the entittlement class Kevin S…THEY JUST NEED MORE MONEY!
They have a “locker tax”? I suppose I might be able to get behind her on that!
CGH >
“…Quite simply, the proper target is the corrupt institutions that create thinking like hers.”
Ahh, much better.
I think I may see your point now.
That’s the whole point, Knight. You don’t cure a disese by treating mere symptoms. It’s wasted time and effort. Kezima is a symptom, not a cause. We can swat all the mosquitos we like, but it does nothing to stop malaria. That we do by draining the swamp.
Puerile and foolish as her opinions may be, Kezima in some sense is the victim of a leftist mode of thinking which has been plaguing us for a century. Some of us were strong enough to see through the haze of lies and distortions, many were not. Do we kick the victims of the system because they were weak, or do we go after the system that warped their thinking in the first place? The former is mere sadism with personal gratification frequently as a motive; the latter is the true target.
Despite being firmly atheist, I’m going to use a Christian metaphor. Christ never wanted to burn those who rejected his thoughts, he wanted to convert them. Burning heretics was a perversion brought on by his unworthy successors.
“…Quite simply, the proper target is the corrupt institutions that create thinking like hers.”
Sorry CGH can’t agree with you on that one. It is individuals who are responsible for their own beliefs, thoughts etc not ‘institutions’. One of the great dodges of our times is transferring blame. Remeber the two incompetents that killed people in Walkerton with their stunning incompetence? It was their fault not the fault of some mindless nameless institution. If Miss Twinkle toes is incapable of sifting the wheat from the chaff in her education then her education has been a waste.
Shorter cgh: Street thugs, on SDA, we’re not making this up.
Preferable to wanna-be Marxist societal engineers running around universities?
cgh:”Kezima is a symptom, not a cause.”
But she is a host carrier spreading the disease. A symbiotic relationship. The more she is able to spread the disease, the more zombies in society willing to care (literally and figuratively) for her.
cgh
I understand your angst, and I agree that the institutions have become corrupted.
However, this is the modern world and modern communications these it in no way invalidate the principle of un-intended consequences, and in no way excuses you, if you are going to put yourself into the public space with public statements then you take the flack that comes with it. And that is what this girl so surely does and as this is far from the first time she has used this media to broadcast her wondrous thoughts, taking them down is almost your duty.
Its like making a statement in the bar to those at it, its not a monologue to yourself, and those that agree will and those that disagree will vocalise that.
Is it a fit discussion for SDA, well its Kate’s Blog, if she things so then yes it is.

I agree with you as to the root cause of the problem but that does not mean we should accept the immature babble without question. If she puts it out to public display we are entitled to question the logic and disagree with a given point of view. Accepting her flawed logic would be confirmation that what she is learning at the institution is correct.
I agree that institutions have failed Paige. But she is also personally responsible and liable for the damage she seeks to inflict on society.
I don’t think she really wants to sleep 14 hours a day. Nor do I think she views her treatment here as cyber bullying; not when one considers the tone of her own comments online.
This is a great opportunity for her to reconsider the views she has assumed without prior thought or question.
A family vacation in Cuba and then show up at the NDP nominating convention? If you believe that’s the political system you want, you didn’t process what you saw in Cuba or you should have stayed there.
Walter – the key item about Cuba or the Dominican Republic isn’t the government there, it’s that despite being a student and demanding more of our money, she is rich enough (through her family) to go on nicer vacations than can be afforded by most of the people she is demanding more money from .
C, I see that, but she doesn’t. She hurls obscenities at our government, but is merrily burning up the oilsands jetting off to Cuba and then to the NDP leadership convention. If her belief in socialism were genuine she would stay in Cuba or at least not be consuming such a disproportionate share of the world’s resources.
By not speaking out against her divorced-from-reality innumeracy enabled redistributionist fantasy, we would allow that view to stand as the accepted societal norm.
Similar to the msm echo chamber’s monolithic support for bigger government and the entitlement culture enables its continuation.
Until the moment we famously run out of other people’s money and turn into Greece.
Remember, without oil and hydro, we would likely already be much closer to, or past that tipping point.
To avoid it, we should not let any of it go unchallenged. We acquiesce with our silence.
Swat every mosquito, so you remember to stay motivated to drain the swamp.
We are all Breitbart!
I don’t see confronting individual/institutional marxism as an either or proposition. Both need to be confronted.
To use a Chess analogy, the King may be the object but you don’t ignore the pawns…not if you want to win.
Activists who seek to change public policy should never be shielded from exposure and criticism, no matter their age.

Exactly. Shes running for a public post at her University. Why should she be exempt from her own comments? This is not really about youth per say. Ive seen Politicians in their 60s say even dumber things. Though its nice to catch the Marxist entitled before they leave the house.
Besides if she ever does run for a Real Political position this will be a learning experience.
Syncro, good analogy.
