Found it particularly interesting how journos love to break every bit of gossip when it comes to politicians but circle the wagons when it comes to protecting one of their own. Does anyone think for one second that we wouldn’t be hearing juicy gossip from ‘anonymous sources’ about this event had it been soudas who caused the kerfuffle? What a joke…

Yes you do batb. Susan just admitted to me on Twitter that she did author the story in question but claims the byline was chopped due to space constrictions.
She still hasn’t responded to my query as to why there was enough space for her byline this morning but not enough now.
Look, Susan Delacourt’s brother, John Delacourt, is a Liberal Party insider, having worked for Joe Volpe and Michael Ignatieff — and others in the LPC, no doubt.
Susan Delacourt is no more a political “pundit” than I am. She’s a political — read, Liberal — insider who in no way can be counted on to report unbiased or fair stories on anything that’s happening on the Hill.
She’s never made it a secret that she dislikes Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his CPC party. IMO, she should be taken off the political beat by both the Star and the CBC, but seeing as fairness and journalistic integrity have never seemed to concern either media outlet, why would they?
