Let’s Erect A Plaque At 787 Dundas St W To Remember Jack Layton

Off to a fine start!

One of the first acts of the NDP under newly elected leader Thomas Mulcair was to vote against a bill encouraging Canadians to “proudly display the National Flag of Canada.”

  1. Lonf game and mucair lost first battle. This is a meaningless vote, right now. Wait till a fewbmore self inflicted pieces are in place and u can see the ndp become nuclear outside of quebec..

  2. “Remember the Occupiers? They have the right to protest but that doesn’t mean that they can take over any public or private space for their protest-domain”
hahoheh…Bwahahahahahahahahaha. Tell that to all the cops/politico’s in ALL the sites they “occupied”. Seems that friday night laughs can come at any time of the week.

  3. Listened to Mulcair talking to Gormley the other day. Main topic of conversation was the the economic success of the west and the oil sands. Every word that came out of the dippers mouth was socialist rhetoric and how dare the west become rich. Despite his comments about moving the dippers more to the center this leader and his party can kiss any western support now and into the future goodbye.

  4. Tommy Stupid made his second biggest mistake. His first was bringing in the `Cow`as his right hand `thing`.The Libby thing.

Barring this, one repeats the same experiment expecting different results.
Are you a proponent of insanity?

  6. Mulcair is such a lightweight , soon the press especially CBCpravda will be bemoaning Harper beating up on his naivity and ignorance.
the next dual passported frenchy maroon. bwahahaha.

  7. I’m wondering if this bill was a crafty move on the part of PMSH to facilitate the implosion of the NDP. It’s a feel-good type of bill that has no real significance and one of the options for the NDP was to just not vote on the issue. Had I been an MP, I just wouldn’t have shown up for the vote. By voting against it, Eclair is sending a message that he’s against display of the Canadian flag, most likely because he’s a separatist. People tend to remember things like this subconsciously in subsequent elections when they make a choice of how to vote.
I’ve never liked the Canadian flag and wouldn’t fly one. It doesn’t bother me when other people fly it. The only flag I’d put on a flagpole on my property would be the Gadsden flag as I think it sends a clear message.

I agree the Gadsen flag sends the correct message but it’s far too late in this country. Every aspect in our lives is now controlled by activists and the education system is winning in neutering the next generations. Even thought police sanctioned by government, better known as CHRC can impose penalties for speaking your mind. We have no property rights and it seems that all other rights are under constant attack and changed at the whim of bureaucrats, always under the banner of “think of the children”, “look at the cost to our healthcare”, or “we know what’s good for you”. Changing the drinking laws from.08 to .05 or the imposition of a carbon tax are recent examples. We have been stepped on for so long we simply wait for the next imposition and other than roll our eyes, we accept it. Too late. Tried riding a bike without a helmet lately ? Or buy pointed lawn darts ? Defend your own property or even your own life ? I like the Gadsen flag but our snake would be more like a Garter snake.
