The correct answer to the “kirpan in the House of Commons” issue is to stop being such a bunch of pu$$ie$ and everybody brings whatever the hell they want into the House the way they used to. Metaphorically speaking of course, swords do come in all shapes and sizes to suit individual tastes. I too would take an FN-FAL over an AR any day, if forced to choose. That said I’m a modestly tricked out Springfield SOCOM II kind of a guy when it comes right down to it.
The new 300 AAC Blackout, will be an interesting cartridge to watch and try as a plinker/ _______.

Yep, it’s always mainly been about the Liberals and not the immigrants for me. Any issues I’ve had with Immigrants have been about certain cultural ideologies, criminal practices, and freeloading. No, just some reviews and a few Utube clips. looks good, but my trusty Winchester 1300 Defender is all the HD shotgun I have. Even returned it to its original wood stock after trying a modular Blackhawk pistol grip with a built-in recoil reducing spring. Hated the pistol grip, couldn’t get a cheek weld (chin weld). Kept the Hogue front grip & fiber optic front bead, so good to go. That said I really dig the looks of the Benelli MR1.

Excellent point, and yes, there certainly is precedent. “Scottish”, however, isn’t a religion (please, eveyone save the witticisms unless they’re very witty) anymore than “Gurkha” is. (I am in favour of letting any and all Gurkhas into Canada, BTW. I love Gurkhas.) And an all-Muslim police division, say Her Majesty’s Shia Guards of the RCMP… well, I’ll just leave it at pointing out that Police and Military are not identical. In this case I really think there must be zero accomodation; but that won’t happen. The Georgians and the Victorians didn’t have to deal with a culture of human rights complaints.
