I’m in Nanaimo and have spend much of the day e-mailing members of City Council, School Board and Regional District Board members, each on a different issue of waste and stupidity…. and I haven’t yet gotten around to this issue.
Our city fathers have just authorized the installation – and taxpayer subsidy – of several more ‘charging stations’ for our mostly non-existant electric vehicles.
Sure, there’s a few Priuii around – my neigbour has one. But I’ve yet to see a single Volt or Leaf. The clueless ones at City Hall ostensibly wants to gather information – are they used frequently, but for short times? Are they used by only a few, for longer periods?
My bet is that they will largely not be used at all. But assuming they are, where does City Council get off providing free energy to the ‘energy elites’ at the expense of the mere working class plebes?
I guess I’ll be firing off another e-mail tomorrow – the trouble being that when you complain frequently, you’re assumed to be just a gadfly, and thus to be ignored.
I don’t know how the left finds the energy – electric or otherwise – to constantly rage as they do.
