CWB: Discovers capitalism

The CWB has had its tantrum and been told to go to their room. Now that they’re back at the kitchen table, surprise, they discover that capitalism actually works.

“We are very pleased that Cargill, as a forward-looking company in the western Canadian grain industry, has become the CWB’s first handling partner,” said wheat board president Ian White.

  1. Now that we have freedom to sell to them based on their ability to provide value, the CWB will have to pay a fair price, which involves co-operation with other industry partners.
Thank you Harper Conservatives. The No Democrats and ilLiberals would have had us continue to be slaves to the CWB monopsony forever.

Aaaaaahhhhhhh. How sweet. Sorry, banachek, but if you believe the CWB will pay a fair price, well,I have some great land to sell you. The commies of the CWB will never, ever let go of their desire to rule, control, and abuse farmers. Stalin was a great benefactor of farmers too!
The CWB will only try to slime, coherce, and lie to the politicians and gullible leftard voters to try to bring the CWB back in its former commie glory(see Putin).

  3. i see the cbc couldnt help but take a couple of shots at MR.Harper for not holding a vote on the cwb.
the cbc would crawl right up a snakes a@@ in my opinion…
i never listen to cbc, what they consider news is a joke.
did they ever mention the sansone incident?
i was listening to 660keyz, williston thismorning.
they were wondering with the cwb monopoly gone, would canadian farmers run their grain over the border.
they seem to figure that the elevators in canada will get in line price wise as they won’t want to loose the buisness.
time will tell, i think their right, it just might take a little time and a few trucks running the border for them to get the idea.

  4. I thought Alan Oberg was always warning about those evil American corporations? Is he singing a different tune now?

  5. Oberg and his merry band of uber-socialists were terminated from the CWB board about 3 seconds after C18 received Royal Assent. Which is why CWB 2.0 actually has a chance to succeed in an open market.

    Hopefully Comrade Putin is hiring?
No, Canadian Socialists love the kickbacks too much.
    Russia can’t afford them.
