   What ‘guff’ are you referring to? I’ve posted data on ratios and numbers from the US data base. Are these figures ‘guff’? Please explain.
   No-one is talking about ‘waxing fat’ via a govt subsidized lifestyle. Why do you use these terms?
   What we are talking about is how someone who works and pays taxes, NETS effectively, the same amount as someone who doesn’t work and doesn’t pay any taxes but lives off the taxes of others.
   Nor is anyone talking about just ‘temporary assistance’. You’ll recall that we are NOT talking about those people who need short-term assistance.
   We are talking about an economic infrastructure that has been set up whereby it is, fiscally, not viable to work – because your consumer-income is the same if not less, than someone who doesn’t work.
   By the way – 6,300 a year in food stamps doesn’t come out to less than 100/week for food but 121. The US thrifty food plan for family of four is between 120-135.00 per week. This amount is more than enough – and I speak from experience. It means home-cooking of soups, stews, meat loaves, bulk buying, no prepared dinners, no fancy cakes – but far healthier. And notice – the schools provide lunches for the children, but, that same amount of 121.00 can certainly provide a tuna sandwich, carrots and milk.
   Answer your question yourself- why the poor pay the lower fee for childcare costs?
   And, you still haven’t dealt with the real questions of this thread. You focus only on ‘how little money’ the poor get – and totally, utterly, ignore the nature of the economy that provides this ‘little money’.
   You do not deal with the problem of the untenable ratio of a population dependent-on-govt funding vs those who produce the wealth for that govt to tax and distribute. You don’t deal with the problem of how an economy can sustain itself when it reduces its INVESTMENT and PRODUCTION capacities by starving these phases of money – and instead, putting all the wealth in CONSUMPTION.
   The medicare subsidy is valid; it means that the individual does not purchase medical insurance, whereas, most people who have a job in the US, must purchase medical insurance.

   No, they don’t; the EITC is larger than their taxes; they face a net negative income tax rate: they are getting a payment from the IRS ( the newest cog in the welfare apparatus ) larger than the taxes deducted, by a very wide margin.

   I could offer that those who are working, paying tax that is used to support those who work less are the ones working in, well, the equivalent of work houses, eh?
   It’s just that in this case, instead of rich benefitting from work houses at the expense of the poor, it’s the poor benefitting from workhouses at the expense of the middle class.
   If I work and someone else benefits, I’m not benefitting from a “veritable paradise”.

8. Victim – what fascist ideology? My focus on individual self-reliance and a state economy that enables private small/medium business Investment, production rather than a focus primarily on enabling Consumption – isn’t fascist! I’m sure you know that fascism is a collectivist ideology.
   What’s illogical about my comments?
   You are ignoring the triad of Investment, Production and Consumption and ignoring that an economy that privileges Consumption and ignores that wealth must be channelled into the first two- is dysfunctional.
   Your red herrings of the costs of the military (which actually, focus on Investment and Production of new technologies – see the work done within IEEE research) – and the Iraq War, which you reject and which I supported – are red herrings and do not address the triadic structure.
   I agree that bailouts should not have taken place, and, for example, GM should have been allowed to go bankrupt; Obama should not have spent taxpayer money on it.
   But, your Either-Or scenario of no military, no war, no Wall st…would lead to more money for the poor, is a false analogy. You are ignoring the dysfunctional triad, where the govt is focusing on increasing handouts for Consumption and reducing the amounts left in private hands for Investment and Production. Why you ignore this – is beyond me.

    80% of Mississippi’s welfare recipients are black. The Democrats have moved their slaves from one plantation to another. Many of them are now finding work at Casinos and Hotels for better than minimum wage so that they can start to finally find some freedom from the Liberal bondage that has enslaved them since they arrived from Africa.
    Freedom is not a free lunch. You people have victimized these people of color for far too long!

    Yes indeed, it’s the Liberal ilk that prevents businessmen from hiring black people because they have no idea whether or not their post secondary education is legitimate via Affirmative Action.
    Why would a businessman take the risk of hiring a lemon, when the same Liberal Progressiveness additionally prevents the businessman from taking any disciplinary actions against potentially unproductive black employees for fear of lawsuits, slanted racial persecutions, or even the loss of business?
    He doesn’t, thus potentially viable black employees are without certain jobs because of the racial hatred of Liberal Progressives towards them.
    Although most are lucky enough to have made it through the Liberal baby blenders before birth, they then struggle through the Liberal welfare ghettos with absent fathers locked up for selling drugs to appease Liberal appetites. Those that can eventually break the Liberal bonds of ghetto vote farm slavery and attempt to better themselves in institutions of higher learning find that they cut off at the pass by their Liberal overlords and sent back to the plantation without jobs and a misplaced chip on their shoulders.
