  13. The Division of Child Development and Early Education at the Department of Health and Human Services requires all lunches served in pre-kindergarten programs — including in-home day care centers — to meet USDA guidelines.
    That would be lunches *served* by the facility.
    They have zero authority to inspect or regulate the lunches provided by parents or legal guardians of the children.
    A regulation for the service provider/employee does not carry over to the employer which is the parent/guardian.
    I’d sue their ass to the moon for overstepping their authority and NO I wouldn’t pay for the chicken nuggets, I bill the SOBs for the lunch they confiscated + the time it took to put it together.
    Turkey is as nutritious or more than chicken.
    The damn nerve of them.

    Yes indeed…..this reflects the “regulations” bureaucrats have devised (and the constabulary attempts to enforce) relating to firearms. Most firearms charges can be easily dismissed because they are based on “regulation” not statute.

  28. Just turned on the computer,first place to visit,SDA,and THIS post hits me like a ton of bricks.
    I remember reading Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago” in 1974,and recall AS’s passionate plea to the Russian people,in words to the effect,”when they started the arrests, we stood by and thought,I’m glad it’s not me. We should have stopped them,right then,we should not have let them take us. If only we had objected when they started..”
    We still have some freedom left,and we must “stop them” when they start this bureaucratic bullying. The Mother of the child should NOT pay,should bill the school for the lunch SHE made,and at lawyer’s rates for her labor.
    Force the bastards to arrest her,and video the whole thing to put on the internet while we can still do that!
    I can see the value of organization through social media,the OWS kids have showed us how to do it. We Canadians should have done the same as the OWS movement when the RCMP came for the .22’s they recently stole from legal and licenced gun owners. We members of the “silent majority” should quit being so silent.
    Imagine if the RCMP were met at each gun owner’s house by a crowd of 100 pissed off gun owners or supporters,all armed with video cameras.That would shake up the “authorities” all the way to the PM’s office,and perhaps remind them that we didn’t elect them to rule us,but to SERVE us.
    And we pay them damned well to do it.
    But,no, like the Soviets of Solzhenitsyn’s book, we stood by and were glad it wasn’t us.
    Our Leaders,our political elites,in all Countries,are more interested in controlling us than in adhering to our Constitution or respecting our individual rights. We have to stop them cold or it will only get worse,and it doesn’t matter what political Party currently sits in government.

Seeing how these children are to be taxed and regulated into de facto slavery the rest of their lives to pay for the current crop of publicly educated misfits running up the bills (voters as well as their political sugar daddies), their owners (the state) must act like any other poseur bureaucracy by pretending to look out for their health.
    The collapse started with public (socialized) education so it’s fitting that it ends there. In the US, federal involvement makes the dysfunctional systems even worse than mere state level unionized monopolies.

    That, sir or madame, is the very sad TRUTH. More than anything this rapidly developing domestic fascism turned me against the “War on Terror” (yes, in scare quotes). I even started adopting the substitute title: Department of Fatherland Security. Leaving aside the fact that the US has actually been funding terrorism through the Palestinian Authority/Fatah and indirectly Hamas.
    One of the most impactful quotes I’ve ever encountered is Randolf Bourne’s: War is the health of the state. Crisis is a equally serviceable substitute for war in that quote. As we all know Michelle Obama is the leading advocate of the “obesity CRISIS”.
    The most impactful book I’ve read in recent years is Albert Jay Nock’s Our Enemy, the State which I believe our own maz2 tipped here.

    Now with him downgrading the army, increasing the TSA into every transportation. Even free movement will be stopped.

    The sad fact is most Americans don’t even see what this monster in the White House has done.
    It makes me sick of heart sad to see a great free Republic reduced to frightened people who are groped, told what to eat, than not even allowed to act human on a beach.
