Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Regulations only apply to American nationals living in California, her mistake is in being one. Mexican nationals in California have no regulatory regime that they must obey if the Central Valley is any measure…
It’s aggravating even to read about that sort of thing.
Why doesn’t the government just get the hell out of the way when people are trying to open up a small business and hire people? Who, exactly – whose interests – do they think they’re protecting with this sort of ridiculous red tape?
Gah. Unbelievable.
And people wonder why the economy in the US is failing.
It’s just a different take on “pursuit of happiness” from the Declaration of Independence. They’re emphasising the pursuit part to the exclusion of happiness.
We have the same zhite in Canada. The Rio Theatre in Vancouver went through all the hoops to get a liquor license so people could have a beer while discussing the movie they were about to see. Problem occurred when said liquor license disallowed the exhibition of movies on the premises.
NO red tape or consequences if your in the copper stealing trade.
Glad they don’t make hasty decisions like that here in Ontario.
This is exactly what Steve Jobs told Obama about the impossibility of opening a factory in the US. Jobs said it is almost impossible become of regulations and unnecessary costs. Obama response…crickets.
One poster pointed out an interesting fact in the comments. The oil sands is shipping its oil to Texas via 1,000 a day tanker cars. Who owns the railway and tanker cars, why Obama’s good friend Warren Buffett!
“because of regulations” nice to have an edit feature on our posts as it looks okay until you see it on the thread.
