“Newt played rough in South Carolina and won big.”

That ought to tell the GOP something. Whether it will is another story. If this loss tonight makes Romney a stronger, better, more articulate candidate, terrific. But he has to learn from this stunning defeat: The base is itching for a fight with everything the Obama Democrats stand for and they don’t much care who gives it to them, just as long as somebody does. Tonight, that’s Newt.
As the late Al Davis used to say, “Just win, baby.” And, as the Democrats say, “by any means necessary.” It’s high time they got a taste of their own medicine — and understand there’s a lot more where that came from.

  1. Mitt Marquess of Queensberry got a lesson in S. Carolina – don’t enter the ring unless everyone is playing by the same rules.

  2. Gingrich Credits Palin for South Carolina Surge.
The former Speaker says that donations, volunteers and support are all up considerably since he received the pseudo-blessing of the former Alaska Governor.
“There’s no question we saw it help us in fundraising. We saw it help us in volunteers. We saw people, all of a sudden, on the phones. She has a significant following in the Republican Party.
And frankly, I mean, to have her say she’d vote for me in South Carolina, since we’re in South Carolina and the election’s on Saturday, that was a big break and it really helped us a lot.”
But Mittens got Nikki’s vote,,, how did that work out for ya Mitt??

  3. South Carolina is nothing but a bump in the road.
Now if Newt Greenwich, Greenwitch, Gingrich.
    Can win Florida,
    he has my attention.

It took me three years to spell Oblamer.
Now we might have a President Greenwhich.

  4. Palin knows first hand how the game is fought and what’s needed to win. The Tea Party has lots of respect for the Constitution, the rules. But they are realizing being soft on Dems and their MSM surrogates is killing their country.
Newt is willing to play to win. Yet on a personal level he doesn’t seem to have any grudge against his opponents, including the media. He will get votes from men and women for not being afraid to go for the win.

  5. I would posit that Mr. Gingrich’s victory may ALSO have been significantly affected by the fact that he is NOT “Mitt”.
Or haven’t you noticed that, when given that option, it easily wins most polls?

  6. At this point, any GOP candidate that plugs into the “American anger” of anything seen as socialist and lefty including the sentiment of “big Government only catering to big money” will get noticed. Add an articulate, ultra experienced politician who knows the ins and outs of DC and is literally a walking American history encyclopedia and you have a sure fire candidate.
Americans are mad as hell at their own downfall towards European socialist values; something that has been promoted for decades by the MSM, Hollywood, education system and pandering for vote politicians of either side.
Newt has successfully plugged himself into that anger.
It seems Newt is the only one getting his pulse from internet sources versus the others who gets theirs from the MSM.
The big question is: Will he be the real thing or will he just become the next puppet?
I’m still a Ron Paul but Newt is now my second choice.

  7. Newt’s victory speech in South Carolina:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nYoqe-VjvQ
    “Paycheque President”! Yeah!
Whatever Newt’s weaknesses, he’s putting all the cards on the table. He’s absolutely saying it like it is, which is so refreshing: “When the White House can’t play Tic-Tac-Toe …” LOL!
I would love to see Newt debating Barry; methinks it would be a verbal blood bath. Obambam would be pounded to a pulp. I’d pay to see that!
It’s hard to see Newt as President, but could he run with someone who would make a Gingrich presidency more palatable to, first, Republicans, and then Americans? Another Obama presidency will be suicide for the American people.

  8. I have my doubts about newt; but at least he fights. Romney is a loser, and backed by losers.

  9. The analysis is spot on in my case. Reasons I voted for Newt yesterday:
    1. He’s devastatingly fierce in debates.
    2. The Palin nod – the point that stuck with me was to keep the game going – if it eventually goes to Mitt, then hopefully he’ll have learned from his losses.
    3. Stick it to the media and especially CNN and ABC.
I have issues with Gingrich but frankly none of the candidates were perfect in my view. Still, I’d vote for a vegetable or rock before I’d vote for Obama.

  10. “As I’ve been saying, Romney’s been the candidate the Democrats have wanted to face all along…”
And if you’ll believe a pundit who believes THAT, then you really are down the rabbit hole. The fact is, an overwhelming majority of the conserative base is going to check off “Republican” on the ballot come November — you know it, the GOP establishment knows it, and the Democrats certainly know it. Kudos to Gingrich for pulling this one out, but like all federal elections, things will come down to a fight for the non-ideological middle. And on that count, Mitt poses a greater threat to the Dems than does Newt (and since covering one’s exposed flank is what VP running mates are for, look for Mitt to seduce a Tea Party favorite for his eventual ticket).
Anyway, for the Dems, the best thing about Newt winning SC is that it extends the primary race for at least several more rounds. Not only does that delay a unified GOP assault on Obama, it also provides plentiful fodder for Daily Show entertainment during these long winter months.

  11. Welcome SC fan of SDA.
Michael Walsh was right in the article, Mitt has to “stop running for CEO” and in my opinion come out swinging against Obama changing the US into a socialist country.
batb said “Another Obama presidency will be suicide for the American people”. You sure have that right.

  12. Newt tapped into anger with the MSM and Democratic over-reach. Republicans want Obama gone gone gone.

  13. I’m delighted to see Newt gaining momentum. Finally, someone has said, loudly and clearly, re both the consensus media and the big ZER0, “The Emperor has no clothes”. Hear! Hear! A lot of us have been waiting a LONG time for that. To see these scumbags put on the offensive for a change is sweet!
Sarah Palin’s support is a huge benefit on the money and organization side: vote-side too. And Newt’s willingness to hit back hard at the hijackers of the Constitution and political fair play—“speaking truth to MSM and DemocRAT power and corruption”—has really galvanized a lot of people. E.g., Yesterday, at Power Line, a commentator I really respect, John Hinderaker, raked Newt over the coals: there were over 100 (rare) responses. I read enough of them to see that about 95% of them slammed Hinderaker and supported Newt! Much as many of the commentors respect John, they weren’t having any of his dissing and dismissing Newt. I agreed with them. I also find myself in the same boat re Mark Steyn, whom I really respect. He’s no fan of Newt’s, but I can’t find myself willing to join him.
Time will tell how all this plays out, but if Newt continues to boldly call out the enemies of freedom and truth—Zer0 and the MSM—I think he’s going to continue to gain support. People are so tired of the 90 pound weakling—the Republican Party (and the country)—getting pulverized by the cheating bullies, someone who’s willing to fight back—FINALLY!—looks pretty good.

  14. ” Romney’s been the candidate the Democrats have wanted to face all along…”
Thanks Davenport for supporting that with your own endorsement.

  15. How can a perverted old skank like Newt win in a Tea Party state? Two words: Electronic balloting.

  16. Mr. Nicey-Nice can’t win against a nasty Democrat machine. Does anybody else feel Romney is kind of a carbon-copy of Paul (Mr. Dithers) Martin?? He gives me the same vibe…
Will Romney become more desperate as the campaign goes on? If/when he breaks out a guitar and starts lip-synching, then we’ll know his time has come! HAHAHA!

  17. I would love to see Newt debating Barry; methinks it would be a verbal blood bath. Obambam would be pounded to a pulp. I’d pay to see that!
    – batb
Ah, another devout but muscular Christian. Love it!
Put this on a Post-it note on your fridge:
Me No Dhimmi said IF Newt gets the nomination, Obama will not debate him. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking: ‘he can’t NOT debate’. And I’m saying, ‘yes he can! not debate. ‘You can’t not have a budget for 1000 days’. Yes He Can!
I strongly favoured Michele Bachman (for besides being hot) for her URGENCY. I’m favouring Newt now for the same reason + street-fighter cajones. I no longer, care one whit about anything in his personal life; I no longer care one whit about those “consultancy fees” from Freddie Mac. I no longer care one whit about Gord Tulk’s flake-factor.
America is DEAD with another Marxist Thugocratic term.

  18. If Newt wins Obama stays in the Oval office.
Posted by: James at January 22, 2012 11:36 AM
    Don’t get yourself Krauthammered James.
    Perhaps.
But the same can be said of a Romney win with even more confidence.

  19. Obama wants to run against Romney. That’s why Hermain Cain was lynched. Cain against Obama debating, black on black, Cain would have won in a cakewalk. Newt though is a white version of Cain, lives and breathes from the right but both have problems in the past. Perhaps some of Obama’s past might come to the fore with Newt the competition in November.

  20. Even though it would be two massive egos competing (and possible bad blood after the campaign) what would a ticket look like to have Romney for Pres and Newt for VP.
The big hit on Romney is that he doesn’t fight back and Gingrich has too many negatives to be Pres.
It would certainly make the VP debates interesting.
On reaction to Newt’s marriage issues, my response is that never stopped Bill Clinton (who would likely be elected President again if the Constitution allowed it).

  21. Obama will mop the floor with Newt in a debate. It’ll be a mixed audience, Newt dodging questions while flinging read meat to the hard right base isn’t going to cut the mustard. Add in Newt’s tendency to shoot himself in the foot and it’ll be a melodramatic campaign.
    Go Newt Go!

  22. At least Newt would put up a fight in a debate.
Obama went to Disney World last week, Newt is going this week.
Newt has challenged Obama to a three-hour Lincoln-Douglas style debate and said the Bammer could bring along his teleprompter if he’d like.
I figure Newt will rattle Obama’s cage enough.
BTW, I’d like Obama to answer this question: you know about Newt’s past wives. Could you tell us anything about your past girlfriends?
Has any of you Obama apologists (iberia?) ever heard anything about Obama’s past relationships (other than Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright)? If so, let us know.

  23. A week ago Mitt was polling with a double digit lead in SC, last night Newt won by 12. As they say, a week is a lifetime in politics.
I think it’s pretty clear what happened. Republican voters have been cool to Mitt from the get go and his stunbling performance in the recent debates (epic fail on tax disclosure vis a vis his fathers unprecedented 10 yr offering) deepened the chill.
OTOH Newt scored large in both the FNN and CNN debates by pasting the MSM and taking a more combative tone. I believe that Republican voters intuitively understand the media bias and realize that a gentleman like approach isn’t going to cut it against the MSM and Barry’s Chicago machine.
Republicans ran a moderate in 2008 and IMHO would have lost worse if not for SP.
As far as the POTUS’ mythical debating skills go, well mythical is the keyword. Some people here seem to confuse orating with debating. Barry is a beautiful orator but nothing I’ve seen indicates anything more than average debating skills. I really don’t think he’s that fast on his feet, nor has he shown a deep understanding of specific issues. Platitudes worked last time for the One but that’s not gonna fly this time.
On Newts moral challenges, let me put it this way.
I came away from the ABC expose feeling bad for Marianne. I couldn’t help but wonder that if only she had agreed to the open marriage proposal she would still have a shot at Secratary of State./sarc
My point. For better or worse, personal sex scandals have become more acceptable to the public thanks to Bill Clinton. Bj’s in the oval office anyone? If the Dems and the in the tank MSM try to push the issue, they will further expose the media’s bias, which plays well for Newt.
    Florida should be interesting.

  24. Kate nails it…”It’s high time they got a taste of their own medicine — and understand there’s a lot more where that came from.”
As I’ve said before, anybody who says we can’t play by the same rules as the DemocRATS/LIEberals/any leftard as this just brings us down to their level is a useful idiot! To paraphrase,if you don’t stand and fight for something, you will go fetal and fall for anything.

  25. MND: I would love to see Newt debating Barry; methinks it would be a verbal blood bath. Obambam would be pounded to a pulp. I’d pay to see that!
    – batb … Ah, another devout but muscular Christian. Love it!

Notice, MND, it’s a verbal bloodbath I’m looking forward to. As the Good Book says, “The truth will set you free.” I hear Newt speaking a lot of truth to lies — not only to the Dems but to his own party.
I really hope you’re not right about Obama’s ability to refuse to debate the GOP presidential candidate. If he does refuse, however, it will tell the American people what a loser he is.

  26. kevinw writes, “Obama will mop the floor with Newt in a debate.” Really? Evidence, please. (A stumbling, bumbling Obama, off teleprompter, almost gets my sympathy . . .)
Re Newt’s baggage: I believe it’s like the kiddies’ Tickle Trunk compared to Obama’s whole, damn(ed) cargo hold of the Titanic.
Obama’s legion deceits, lies, and cover ups—many actually under lock and key (WHAT transparency!)—are not just dishonest and duplicitous: many are unconstitutional and CRIMINAL, e.g., his despicable and racist Department of (IN)Justice, Operation Fast and Furious, his latest “recess” appointments, his Marxist Czars, his shady past, involving terrorists and criminals, Ayers and Rezko . . . etc. And this is JUST the tip of the iceberg as far as this great impostor is concerned.
“The perfect’s the enemy of the good.” It’s very true that Newt’s far from perfect, but he’ll give Obama and his henchpeople a real run for their money—and bloody them while he’s at it, which is just what they need. Newt’s not going to turn a blind, “polite” eye to their treachery and criminality, like McCain and the other Republican sissies did/do.
Let’s remember—well, one can only remember if one ever knew it!—the story of David and Bathsheba*: his sins were far greater than Newt’s and yet he became one of God’s most powerful and faithful servants. As a Christian, I believe we’re all sinners, “who fall far short of the glory of God”. But, He calls us to follow Him anyway. If He had to wait for perfection, we’d still be stewing in our own juices instead of getting on with the good, however small it might be. Newt’s atoned for his sins and has moved on. Whatever happens, God has great plans for Newt—as He does for all of us. As I’ve written before, sin does not neuter us: we may repent and move on, asking that our Father “not weigh our merits, but pardon our offences”. IMO, Newt’s the firebrand we need right now to take on the very dark forces the radical left has unleashed on the USA.
As far as Newt’s concerned, I say “Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead!” It’s about time.
(* Part of the Old Testament story: MND, maybe you’ve read it lately! King David impregnated Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, the Hittite and one of David’s most faithful soldiers. Then he called Uriah back from the front, hoping he’d sleep with his wife and so not realize her child wasn’t his. But Uriah honoured the rules, to not have sexual relations when on battle service. So, David ordered that Uriah be placed on the front lines of the battle. He was, and, as David hoped, he was killed. Already chosen by God, David then repented. His and Bathsheba’s son, Solomon, was a great and wise ruler. David’s far descendent was Jesus. God uses what He has—flawed human beings—to do His will.)

  27. A number of years ago Alberta premier Don Getty lost his re-election when he refused to debate. Instead his worthy opponent had a debate – with a stuffed chicken. Should Obambam refuse to debate I would hope that Newt uses the same tactic.
BTW anyone who thinks Obambam is a great orator is dreaming in technicolour. Obambam has a nice timbre in his voice and can read two teleprompters at once in such a way as to make the television audience think he is actually speaking his own words. Any time he is off the teleprompter his true oratorical skills show forth.

  28. From Melanie Phillips’s blog of today, which I’ve just read:
    “Well, what a surprise (not)
“Well well. So all those folk who were loudly asserting that Romney was a shoo-in have been made to look idiots yet again by Gingrich’s convincing win in South Carolina. All those who said the onslaught upon Gingrich by his ex-wife Marianne would leave him dead in the water, particularly among women, have been shown to be spectacularly out of touch. Gingrich actually won more women’s votes than his opponents.
“Gingrich’s victory has been put down to his stunningly effective performance in the TV debate. And that surely reflects the fact that, just as I have been saying throughout, the extremities of our times mean that Americans need to focus relentlessly on one question alone: can the Republican candidate beat Obama and thus save America from its monumental threats both at home and abroad?
“What they saw in South Carolina was that, when Romney’s financial Achilles heel was pricked he stumbled and flailed; but when Gingrich’s sexual Achilles heel was similarly pricked he wrenched out the knife and hurled it back at his questioner.
“That’s what is needed to beat Obama. South Carolina appears to have realised that in order to bring that about, the candidate must be a gladiator rather than a blancmange. The gladiator in question may be flawed and far from ideal in a number of respects, but if he’s the only one who can fell his opponents rather than be felled by them, he wins.
    “Game on, as they say.”
    YEAH, Melanie! GO, Newt!

  29. Re Newt and the open marrage thing
Romney is a moron…erm mormon, and multiple wives is NOT a stranger to that sect, nor to the muslimist
and a RINO like Romney, well now, his good buddy, Harry , who can say stupider things than Pelosi, Reid is a moron and a mormon. And when Harry Moron was running for re-election, a “conservative” mayor voted for Reid BECAUSE they were both mormons. Lets get all religion out of politics!!!

  30. Up until about a year ago, I looked at Gingrich as someone who needed a mental health evaluation for wanting to run in this general election. Now, my respect for how he is doing increases every day.
Mittens is indeed the candidate o’bummer&co want to face in the election.
Read and remember this article if the RE manages to get Romney nominated.
“The problem is that the “Republican Establishment” is in deep, deep, deep dangerous denial if they think the issue of Romney using off shore accounts to shield investors and investments from the United States Tax Code is going to be an easy sell to the precious Jane and John Doe Independent voter in the general election.”
    http://floppingaces.net/2012/01/20/republicans-in-denial-reader-post/

  31. Did you forget that Gingrich bought the Global Warming Scam?
That’s right: he and Hunstman were the only 2 in the GOP field to buy it.

  32. NME666 I suppose you need a lesson or two based on your last posting. Newt’s ex lover/ex wife says that Newt wanted an open marriage. Well if he did it should come as no surprise to her since she was his mistress when Newt was married to his first wife.
Secondly what is important is the candidate’s moral code. Back when Newt was carrying on with lover after lover after lover he was acting according to the moral code he then embraced. “It’s only sex” was the rallying cry back in the day and Newt hived to it fully. Now however Newt has said that he has changed his moral code. He has become a devout Catholic and now adheres to the Catholic moral code which precludes extramarital affairs. I don’t know that his conversion was as dramatic as Saul’s road to Damascus conversion but until shown otherwise I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. All that being said I doubt that I would vote for Newt if such a vote were given me. There are better candidates available even some who are not running.

  33. Now batb, you need to understand that a SIGNIFICANT portion of the US population would merely take that as proof of the Muslim in Chief’s vast intellectual superiority over a mere mortal such as the Newt. Think of any area shown with a blue color on recent US election maps…

  34. Newt recanted and admitted AGW/Pelosi commercial was a huge mistake on his part.
The trouble I suppose, is he is saying a lot things like this about his past. Its hard to tell whether he is actually sorry, or sorry that he was outed.
Shame really, because his verbal attacks have been splendid, uncompromising, and refreshing. And yeah, it would be great to see him take apart BamBam in a ‘debate’. Mind you, it would be an unfair fight, going to battle against an unarmed Muslim. Oh well.

  35. Newt talked like a socialist a couple weeks ago attacking Romney’s money making success and his numbers take a dive.
This week Newt talks like a conservative ripping leftard talking points and he gets a whole state.
I still wonder if any of the remaining candidates will “get it”.
Why don’t all conservatives talk to Liberals like the New Sununu/Newt
Here’s a great video of Gov. Sununu slapping around MSNBC and calling Newt on his earlier fumble while showing him how to “bring it”
    http://www.breitbart.tv/sununu-carpet-bombs-msnbc-election-team/
    JUST WIN BABY!

  36. Does anyone know how the change in candidate rules in Virginia will affect the Republican primary? Will Newt even qualify there?
“If it is true that the Republican party of Virginia decided in November of 2011 to increase the threshold for automatic certification from 10K to 15K, then it is reasonable to suggest that this was a change that unfairly rewarded candidates who had previously run for President in Virginia. Even if you dispute that, if this story checks out then it is still completely unreasonable to compare the Gingrich/Perry campaigns to any historical Presidential campaign in Virginia: if this was 2008 or 2000, they’d both be on the ballot themselves and the subject wouldn’t have even come up.”
    http://www.redstate.com/moe_lane/2011/12/26/did-the-va-gop-change-the-rules-on-primary-ballot-access-in-november-2011/

  37. The Newt victory makes for one (1) victorious state primary after drubbings in the previous states. This is Newt; he will blow it. He is completely unqualified and quite dangerous there was a reason he was forced from the speaker position and had to pay $300,000 in ethics charges. Oh and his main attack lately has been to damn Romney as a “vulture capitalist”. The bright side is that Social Conservatives are demonstrating what hypocritical scum they are by supporting him.

  38. America needs a Lumber jack to clear the socialist forest. What it doesn’t need is a raccoon looking to steal eggs while hiding in said greenery.

  39. Well, it’s hard to know where to start. Suffice to say: Conservatives in the Repub party ARE itching for a fight and Newt delivered fighting words in SC.
And he backed them up with verve and firm resolve.
    .
The way he has taken the fight to the MSM and the elites in the party tells them he can and will take the fight to Obama and the dems and all their dirty tricks.
Newt’s so called ‘baggage’ is all old news and if anybody does even rudimentary research knows these accusations about his time in congress are bogus.
As for the personal stuff, Dems love their idols with feet of clay. Rallying to their defense of “politics of personal destruction” while practicing it on pubbies all day long.
This is a fight to the finish.
Americans who fear for their country know it, even if Republican elites do not.
His campaign is operating on a shoe string, so no doubt Rick Perry’s endorsement and Sarah’s SC endorsement went a long way, but his two debate performances sealed the deal because this is what real conservatives hunger for.
As the article states: They want a fight and they want the Obama administration and dems to get a taste of their own medicine and that there is a lot more where that came from.
Look for Florida to be more of a mixed bag.
Newt has an uphill battle there, as I see it, because they have early voting. Over 200,000 have already voted. Even before the first debate.
I would like to see Newt take Florida in the same way he took SC. He might have a chance as his campaign strategist in Florida is Marco Rubio’s.
As in England before the second world war, people needed someone to articulate the state of things and rally the people to arms. They found their knight and thank God they did.
He was an unlikely looking knight, but there is no doubt at all that he was one .
He galvanized his country to fight the fight of their lives.
Newt is doing the same for America today.
I think they rather look alike, too:
    Newt Gingrich and Winston Churchill.

  40. “BTW anyone who thinks Obambam is a great orator is dreaming in technicolour.”
    Joe
Right on. One could conclude that on the very first week of his Presidency when he came to Ottawa and gave a small Press Conference with Harper by his side; Barry was absolutely cringing to hear talk…Like a smarter street punk, but a punk just the same. Harper sounded like a true statesman in comparason.

  41. I remember that day, RHTT. And, even ON TOTUS, Obama said he was “happy to be in Iow . . . Ottawa.” What an accident waiting to happen that man is, as he’s proven time and time again.
And, LAS, whoever you are, you write, “The bright side is that Social Conservatives are demonstrating what hypocritical scum they are by supporting him.” Is that so? As one of the “hypocritical scum” you so breezily insult, my choices aren’t so different from those of voters of every stripe: “Politics is the art of the possible.” One’s choices are almost never 100%. Choosing a candidate is sort of like dealing with a Rubic’s Cube: there are many dimensions and all kinds of possibilities, many of them not in plain sight.
Snowbunnie gets it, re Newt: “As the article states: They [social conservatives, who are relentlessly excoriated by the uber-hypocrites of the MSM and other elites] want a fight [we sure do: push back, for a change!] and they want the Obama administration and dems to get a taste of their own medicine and that there is a lot more where that came from.” Exactly. If that demotes me to “scum”, so be it. (Actually, it’s “I-can’t-argue-my-case” name callers, who demean themselves.)

  42. ‘Newt recanted and admitted AGW/Pelosi commercial was a huge mistake on his part.’ posted by DanBC.
I give Newt credit for admitting his mistake – a mistake that a lot of Conservatives made, and have yet to admit to…some in Canada…
I would vote for Ron Paul but I would certainly give credit to Newt for his fire and for blasting the media. Ron Paul, like Presto Manning, has changed the tone of the debate in the Republican nomination process. Ron Paul’s delegates will vote for the Constitution and Liberty and will not give their support unless they get their demands met. This will hamstring the ‘establishment bullies’ in the Republican Establishment. Newt is the black eye of the Repub nominees but no candidate has been treated worse by all msm than the honorable Dr. Paul. I doubt that Dr. Paul has much use for the lifestyle of Mr. Newt but given that Dr. Paul is a Christian and a Libertarian he is less likely to condemn a man for his past, if that man cleans up his act. This could change America in a very good way. Sarah Palin and her husband Todd saw the wisdom of backing Newt, I think that they both like Dr. Paul the best but this repudiation of the mealy mouthed Willard had to be done.
Good job South Carolina – seeing the forest and the tree(s).
Newt needs to hammer the AGW scam some more so that he cannot retreat if he wins; he needs to take that to Willard (mitt) and he needs to adopt Ron Paul’s stance on civil liberties: sovereignty of individual choices and the right to make the rules on your own property as long as the activities are not illegal – stop ‘nanny state’ and Property Rights.
‘Freedom is popular’ Ron Paul’s great line.

  43. ‘stop ‘nanny state’ and Property Rights.’ Should have been enshrine Property Rights. Big word miss!
