1. There are some seriously weird people at that site!
   Liked the article though. Sums it up pretty well. I love a Conservative majority more Day by day.
   If Americans don’t kick that bum Obama out they are dooming themselves to a British future.

2. It’s great the way the Greenies have destroyed the image of the environmental review process. Most people considered an ER to be a sensible precaution, but now most realize it’s just a way for pressure groups to try and stop anything they don’t like without regard for anybody else.
   These reviews will face legislative limits in the future and they can blame themselves for it.

3. This environmental review process is reminiscent of the constitutional debates we had back in the 80’s.
   In the end, what we got was a liberal govenment, most corrupt one in history, and evidence that the only ones benefiting from the process where the lawyers.

4. The YouTube skit is a good example of why the government should get out of the marriage business, it’s too complicated, too many choices, let the market decide.
   The article itself is a good example of why Canadians don’t want US-style Energy policies.
   Ditto we don’t want US-style ObamaCare.
   Why isn’t the CBC trumpeting Canadian values these days as not being US-style?

   Why can’t they give it up already? They’re the ones embarrassing Canada.

6. Obviously James keeps up with is happening here in Canada.
   Hopefully as James suggests the Canadian government will make a serious effort to tackle the environmental Hydra penetrating almost all aspects of our society from municipal elections, bribing native bands to oppose any sort of economic development such as the Gateway Pipeline and corrupting our tax status charitable organizations.
   These foreign funded groups have become as powerful as a significant Federal political party in our parliament and if we are not careful they will take over every decision making process we have.

7. A politician is finally playing offense against the greens instead of simply curling up into the fetal position every time they hear the words global warming.
   That’s the big news.

That’s what happens when you have several decades with declining work ethics, a education system that deviates from what has been successful in the past, a green light for every social engineering activist to enlighten the unwashed hordes and a government backed mandate to insure every wingnut that they are special. The Liberal legacy. We finally have some sanity back in the federal government but it will take awhile to get back to common sense. Even longer for some provinces as long as there are McGuinties at the helm and the social engineers have full funding.

    You will be glad to know we’re fighting our way out from under that influence,Mr.Delingpole. Give Harper another term and “Trudeau’s Canada” will be a distant and unpleasant memory.
    And wasn’t Connie Booth gorgeous in that video? Every time I see it I fall madly for her all over again.

11. It seems the best approach has been established by former PM Jean Chretien and followed by PM Martin and PM Harper with the proper control of political funding at Approxinmately $1,200.00.
    The definition of such a donation is one from any recognized or organized community; such as a municipal; provincial; federal accredited entity.
    In addition any such community NGO is allowed to receive only from one such foreign entity within a fiscal year to maintain it’s tax receipt authority. Failure to comply means it’s tax eligibility is cancelled for a period of three years. At which time it can apply again for tax receipt eligibility if it has not exceeded the $1,200.00 CDN in receipts in the three year waiting period.
    This may or may not be sufficient to cause second thoughts on abandoning Canada’s “elected” best interest, for any NGO only concerned about their own organization’s best interest.
    To offest this potentiality of a specific or group of entities there will be a Parliament approved funding programme, to advise Canadian Citizens, of all the organizations including NGOs; Foreign & Domestic; Commercial Entities; and naturally Foreign Sovereign entities ignoring Canada’s “elected” best interest.
    Presumably Canadian Citizens will then recognize the selfishness of the accepters of such donations.
    A further and specific prohibition may be required to cover any Taxpayer funded organization, e.g. CBC funding any contrators who receive foreign funding as a charitable donation. Additional concern of recognizing the potential selling of their souls by the solicitors of the First Nations, “I am not a Canadian” groups who receive any funding from Aboriginal Affairs Canada. 12. A good article which is rightly complimentary of the conservatives recent comments related to foreign interference in Canadian policy. Lets not get too carried away though, a statement is not effective in changing the process of oil pipeline hearings.
    The watermelon anti-development organizations are far ahead of the game. Implicit granting of vetoes to aboriginal groups by Geoff Plant in BC, Chretien and Martin will prove to be disastrous to current and future projects. Dismal education programmes in BC that have included the viewing of Gores propaganda ensures a generation of voters that spout nonsense and believe it to be science. Provincial politicians who only concentrate on day-to-day popularity and an NDP party desperate for power are all susceptible to the watermelon message. That is a mighty big portion of the electorate.
    And lets remember that the Harper government are Johnny-come-latelys here, they needed to make this statement before the hearings got underway.
