    Attempted? Perhaps someone with more legal knowledge than I can shed some light on what exactly constitutes second-degree cruelty to children. Never mind the “attempted”.

  3. Nothing new here. I was brought up on welfare as a child. It was common for the NDP-voting single moms, my mom included, to leave their kids alone for hours to go drinking or go to bingo. It’s not surprising that a leftist Ocuppy protester would leave his toddler unattended in a tent. Probably left him there to attend one of those “repeat after me” indoctrination sessions.

  4. My opinion is our society is not structured so much on race as socio-economic levels.
    Note I specified socio-economic…..not economic. There are definite cultural levels.
    Middle class kids are virtually NEVER left un-attended.
    It may be just my perception/bias…..but that don’t make me a bad person..just one who has an opinion.

  8. my daughter lives in a nearby small town..Every one of her neighbors in her apartment building are on some type of State assistance..Most have multiple children, by multiple fathers..Only 2 have males living in the home. Recently, almost everyone of them had their electricity shut off for non payment..They all had a good Christmas btw, courtesy of local churches, and other organized charity events.. This is a small Kansas suburb…I am working 3 jobs.. 51 years old and have never taken a penny of assistance..It is frightening to contemplate where this all will lead..
