In a recent column, James Delingpole provided a link to this video and went on to explain how incredibly sad it was that many of the Occupy supporters essentially want the same end results as Tea Party supporters, except that each group is diametrically opposed about how to get there.
Quite frankly, Delingpole is being exceptionally charitable to the Occupy crowd. Most of them appear to be poster boys & girls of the Entitlement Generation or just downright communists. One wonders, if some basic questions about what fiscal conservatives stand for were given to this lot, whether even 1% would have any clue as to what their ideological opponents believe in?
Americans need to vote Ron Paul if they prefer “Classical Liberalism”.
Albertans need to vote Wild Rose next spring.
There really are no other choices unless you prefer “Progressive” ideologies and bloated over funded government intrusion into your lives.
It seems that free men will forever have to battle progressivism/communism.
Sooner or later the schism must be reconciled. Delay of the battle always leads to the rise of those who would enslave others. These delays always cost huge amounts of blood and treasure.

I recall about decade ago, one an acquaintance(not friend or associate) expressing shock at the fate of Romania’s Cescesku(sp) and his charming wife.
I commented “live by the sword”….Chescesku(sp) got hoisted on his own petard. The logical course is to kill them before they kill you.
Regretably this current unease may have to be resolved by an emotional event leading to that result….likely prompted by the progressives putting their words into deeds….
That’s how it has always rolled…..they make the rules….and we play by them.
Can’t wait for The Dark Knight Rises.

However I have to disagree on one point- the “Occupy” crowd are not necessarily “Communists”,
They have been brainwashed by ex-hippie parents that were in their 20’s in the late 1960’s.
I have been lucky enough to have a honest “baby boomer” Dad.
He tells me that back the day the same crowd were considered losers and deadbeats (much like our era)
or at least the smart, employed, successful.ones did. The rest went into public service and proceeded to steal from taxpayers….

dwright: I have no doubt that those who participated in the OWS protests would fall into one of several categories but I do think the two most prominent are indeed:
– Entitlement Generation poster children
– Communists
If there’s another major category I’m open to hearing about it but haven’t yet seen it in the many videos and blogs I’ve read. Put another way, I’ve never seen any such supporter saying something like, “I don’t like the way the world currently works but I don’t feel I’m entitled to anything and I don’t think that everyone should be have exactly the same even if that’s at the force of a gun.”

The Communists and fellow travelers have made big inroads into our educational system and the OWS protests are trademark methods of their attempt to disrupt society and sow discord. It worked for them before circa Russia early 1900s.
I agree with Robert that Delingpole is being very charitable to the Occupy gang. I would have to say the same thing about Lorrie Goldstein in the Toronto Sun.
I forgot to add that my Dad also said that they thought the birth control bill would prevent them from breeding………

Knight 99 – you are correct about Ron Paul – he is a Classical Liberal and if Americans have the wisdom to elect him; America will change fast; they will be saved from the grim gulag reality that follows the day the the proverbial SHTF (the monetary system collapses)and the country folds into thugs and thieves looting and killing – as Ken (kulak) has so often warned us here at SDA, happened in Russia . Progressive heads will explode if we have a President Ron Paul in 2012: a delight to witness by all freedom loving individuals!
Our Classical Liberal PM will have a template to move Canada in the proper direction faster.
It could all be very bright for the Shining City On The Hill – and for Canada – it is now all up to the American people. I hope and pray….
