White House spokesman Jay Carney declined several opportunities to say that President Barack Obama would veto the tax cut if it contained language aimed at expediting the Canada-to-Texas Keystone XL pipeline project. Obama last week said he would reject efforts to tie the pipeline to the payroll tax…Carney told reporters he would not comment on what language regarding the pipeline would be acceptable to the president.

Hopefully this skunk Obongo realizes his decision to suck up to nothing more than “actors” , like himself, has cost the economy big time. Actors and musicians were the reason alcohol was invented, so we could tolerate them, now we have presidents who follow actors and musicians orders, that means we are in big trouble. When idiots like Robert Redford, Rosie Odumbell start steering countries economies kiss your financial ass good-bye.
“call my bluff”
erik
syncro and I were looking for you tonight at dickens
another day
Oops sorry Cal2 – funny, drove by there on the way home from Nutcracker – and was thinking of you guys! Didn’t know about the get-together though! Weird
Let me fix that headline for you. “Canadian Pipeline Threatens Payroll-tax-cut Extension”
Love it when union pinkos and eco turds get to vote on who gets in the lifeboat.
The pipeline will go through so Oblameya can say he created a gazillion jobs just before the election. (with no mention of how many jobs and money went to Brazil)
Kill the XL pipeline, and cut off all gas/oil/power to the ONE.I would love to see NYC in a black out,and the Zero trying to figure out why.
a good greenie won’t let anything like a majority vote stop them…or let any decision they don’t like stand.
after all, look what crouton sold us into…

After federal Environment Minister Peter Kent announced Monday that Canada would be withdrawing from the Kyoto Protocol on carbon emissions, the head of the UN agency that administers the protocol said she would not permit Ottawa to do so.
Christiana Figueres, the Costa Rican diplomat and bureaucrat who is executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), said Tuesday, “I regret that Canada has announced it will withdraw,” but, she added, “whether or not Canada is a party to the Kyoto Protocol, it has a legal obligation under the Convention to reduce its emissions.”
Welcome to the UN’s Hotel Kyoto: “You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.”
What arrogance; what rot.

Bambi and White House spokesman Opie know that if they blow this pipeline deal we will be at his door with torches and pitchforks..
Thank you Kate for keeping us informed on this/our Canadian pipeline.
Bambi’s media tried to bury it.
A few emails to our Congresswoman and it got her attention..
Montana is now officially on board with the Keystone project as well. Democratic governor Brian Schweitzer is a vocal supporter. Nebraska will sign on sooner than later.

Bet the one just wants to vote present for this bill.
Sorry Barry, time to fish or cut bait.

as long as the WON can say “it wasn’t my fault”, all is well in greenland
Hopefully it makes no difference whether Obama OKs the Keystone II or not. If it does happen I am sure much of the President’s refrain will be “what happens if they actually do start exporting off the West coast?”
This course of action should have occurred 10 years ago but the lack of a national strategy has caused this inaction. Allowing this non-renewable resource to be exported to the USA at a $20 per barrel discount to world price is inexcusable. Yes, the USA is our best friend but business is business.
Many accusations that USA financial interests have been funding the eco nuts efforts to prevent west coast exports. I can only hope that Canadian national security forces are investigating to prove or disprove the accuracy of these stories.
Hopefully many Canadians have joined the banana boycott as I have. Oh, for the old Trendy days when we could get grants to build indoor banana farms. Don’t laugh it happened here to the tune of $165,000.
When the unions start marching on Washington and chanting at Obama: ‘Job killer! Job killer!’ then I’ll be impressed.
Obama is taking the unions, those guys who would be laying the pipelines, for granted.
The ball’s in the union’s court now. At least 20,000 permanent jobs at stake.
Who’s holding it back? Obama. Obama. Job killer. Job killer.
Slightly off topic but Chiquita is the latest to come out of the far-left eco-fascist closet against our oil sands. I’ve let them know that we’re no longer purchasing their products.
“Elections have consequences….” the “won”.
When the mid-terms resulted in a Republican majority in the House….the DemoncRATs lost the cheque book.
ALL MONEY BILLS MUST ORIGINATE IN THE HOUSE.
The Senate and the WH can defeat or veto such bills but cannot spent a cent without the HOUSE approval.
Money cannot be spent by EXECUTIVE ORDER.
Here in Canada, Orders in Counsel, (Cabinet) cannot spend money…..that is the perogative of Parliament (House of Commons).
In many ways Pelossi, as Speaker of the House, wielded considerable power, that ended with the mid-terms…..so did her tax-payer funded jet…

Brilliant, Kate. Absolutely brilliant. Your one-word commentary, “Blink,” is the perfect editorial. It speaks volumes.
Probably the brains trust that is the fed executive (which does not include Obumma, who is just a visual teleprompter reader) realised that the eco vote is smaller than the worker vote. Obumma will be told to keep his mouth shut and stop interfering.
Obama passes bill but now threatens to kill Keystone XL

The idiot republicans have the upper hand on this, there should be no compromise with Obama. Full approval, no more reviews of reviews of… etc.
