Strange happenings have been occurring along the coasts of North America with the OWS nitwits shutting down the ports. A series of photos can be seen here. Even Vancouver was affected. Michelle Malkin has more coverage.
This hasn’t just happened spontaneously, of course. It’s being coordinated by socialist and communist groups who would love nothing more than to destroy the economies of the U.S. and Canada.
The question is, how much lost pay will the dockworkers and truckers accept before they retaliate in their own special way?
Update: Publicly, the union officials are not pleased. Privately, if this continues, OWS participants may not be so giddy once individual union members “occupy” their personal space.
For those who can stomach it, here’s the Twitter feed of Kari Koch, the young woman talking with Neil Cavuto. It would be very interesting to see an intrepid reporter interview her parents and elucidate the public on what her home life was like.

I won’t make any claims for being incisive, I will just note that I also processed some other facts. For example, I heard that this was a one(1) day symbolic protest that shut down two terminals. Did you hear that? Or was it drowned out by the ridiculous emoting of the “host” that has everyone here cheering so loudly?
This entire “Occupy” movement would have been over months ago were it not for the voracious appetites of the new advocacy media (Fox, MSNBC, Brietbart). Media that panders to an audience too stupid to follow real news.

When I watched the clip, I found her talking points and behaviour far less remarkable than the absolutely bizarre behaviour of the – so-called – professional media person. And yet the vitriol and ugliness directed at her was immediate and based (it appears) on genuine hatred.
I’m a Conservative, I believe in personal freedom. And I’m so sincere about it, that I want other people, people who don’t agree with me, to be free too. A lot of the people on this site who claim to be Conservatives are no such thing. They are embittered losers who get a thrill out of hating some misguided kid. The young lady basically ignores the weird ranting of the host – except when she gets drawn into an absurd discussion of who bought pizza – and sticks to her talking points. The same thing that is done by politicians and professional advocates day after day after day, everywhere and anywhere that the media turns up.
I’m not advocating her cause, I’m decrying the lack of thought on this blog. A blog that – at one time – used to be home to some intelligent readers and commentators. People who could think and debate rather than just hurl feces at their designated targets. You want to stick up for the crap you read in this thread? Be my guest.

I don`t believe the Conservatives are centrist in either practice or theory. They managed to emulate a centrist party while angling for their majority but they continued to pursue their more idealogical aims by stealth the entire time. I expect they will continue along the same path. A lot of the Conservative voters I know are expecting – with grim anticipation – that Harper will very quickly rip off his sheep`s costume and start raping and pillaging their favourite targets. They`ve been waiting for years and they feel it`s their due.

All they are doing is announcing an intention to have a leadership contest. An interim leader will be appointed and an actual contest will be conducted over the next six-eight months. I just hope they don’t appoint Ralph Goodale as interim leader. Rae would be good but I expect he will be putting forward his name for the leadership and obviously couldn’t serve as interim leader. Too bad Dryden was defeated he would have been a good choice. Perhaps Irwin Cotler would be willing to serve? He’s a respected, experienced guy along the line of Herb Grey, a previous interim leader.

My response:
1)The host asked the OWS spokesperson about what unions were supporting the blockade.
2)The OWS spokesperson responded that rank & file delivered pizza (so the pizza issue was introduced by the OWS spokesperson.)
3)The host then questioned which unions these rank & file members were from, a legitimate question.
4)The OWS spokesperson then provided the name of just one union.
4)The host then asked if other unions supported the blockade, and named some other unions.
5)The OWS spokesperson then deflected that they are supported, and went back to the set talking points about the 1%, Goldman Sachs ad nauseum.
If anyone was acting bizzare it was the OWS spokesperson who tried to equate the delivery of a few pizzas as blanket support of the blockade. The host cornered the OWS spokesperson into proving there is not wide spread union support.
The issue of people and goods not crossing the line can not be taken as support, as the picketers were given police protection to stage the blockade, any attempt to cross would have resulted in a charge against the attempted blockade buster for incitement, exactly what has occured at other locations of OWS actions when they are challenged.
