In an absolutely despicable action, Michigan’s Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has found a backhanded way to force parents taking care of their children at home to join the union and pay union dues.
A coalition of organizations in the state has been founded to fight the SEIU’s heinous actions.
Give the money to the parents in trust for the child. Call it social assistance, not wages. How much of the money is really for wages and how much is reimbursement for expenses?
Yep I heard about this one. They should be ashamed of themselves, but of course, they have no shame.

Visibly stealing the food out of the mouths of children. To fund Union bosses lifestyles that rival Comparative executives & politicians.
Unions are the glue that enforce Statism in the Corporate State.
It a power grab , as well as taxation without representation. On a moral level its just plain evil.
Of course, the premise of unions is that extortion is bad, except for the put upon union member. They should all be subject to the same anti-trust laws as other large organizations selling a good and service. Of course, that would mean the immediate dissolution of most unions by the government.

A couple of years ago the same tactic was tried on in home ‘day cares’/babysitters. SEIU was getting their cut, off the top if I recall correctly, w/o bothering to inform the ‘victims’ they had been enrolled in a union w/o their consent. Quite a stink was raised and it might have gotten rolled back. Food and commercial union in CDN is trying to get off shore labourers to sign cards and enter utopia. Except the workers quickly find out how useless the union is and decertify quicker than the certication process ever took. Got to love it.
This is just sickening…I began to ask myself “Is there no outrageous policy that these union thugs would not resort to”.
But then I quickly answered my own question…these people have no scruples.
My best friend has a 33 yr old daughter with severe cebreal palsy. They have soldiered on over the years, under tremendous hardship. No complaints. They haven’t had a vacation for, well, 33 years.
And when I hear about this kind of outrage, my first instinct is to punch out one of the a$$holes in the union…and if they think they are tough, apparently they haven’t met me yet.
*takes a deep breath* OK, maybe a refresher anger management session may be in order.

Greed is so much more appetizing when performed by big government and big union.

Ah yes, the SEIU wrote the legislation and passed it. Oh, wait…that’s the state government’s job. And corporations certainly wouldn’t try to influence the government to benefit from taxpayers money…oh, no…only unions do that sort of thing.
