Now is the Time at SDA When We Juxtapose

Monday, November 21, 2011 – 2pm: The BC Supreme Court has ordered the end of the tent protest at ‘Occupy Vancouver’.

Monday, November 21, 2011 – 4pm onwards: An endless stream of wet, miserable weather is forecast:

With two powerful incentives to return to the basements of their mothers, it’ll nonetheless be interesting to see how each faux anarchist answers an obvious question.

  1. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner http://bit.ly/uxJMlG reports that for the second time in three days, Fairbanks set a new low temperature record on Thursday. A temperature of 41 degrees below zero — the first 40 below temperature of the season — was recorded at Fairbanks International Airport at 6:29 a.m.
The National Weather Service in Fairbanks says that broke the old record of 39 below set in 1969.
The last time Fairbanks residents saw 40-below temperatures in November was in 1994.
Eielson Air Force Base reported a low of 43 below early Thursday morning, which broke the previous record of 40 below in 1969. It was the second day in a row a new record was set at Eielson. It was 42 below there on Wednesday morning.
The coldest temperature reported Thursday morning was a record 54 below in Manley Hot Springs. A temperature of 49 below was recorded at KNJP radio station in North Pole, also a record.
Other low temperatures around the Interior on Thursday morning were 46 below in Fort Yukon, 45 below in Nikolai, 42 below in Nenana and Tanana and 40 below at Bettles.
Where’s that ‘global warming’ the alarmists are always prattling on about?

From what I’ve gleaned it seems the AGW forces are seizing on ANY stastical weather anomoly to make their point.
Anything outside of room temperature is a sure sign of the environmental apocolypse…maybe we should all stay inside?

  3. What, there were NO laws already on the books that the Mayor could have ordered the Police to enforce?
And they’ve just re-elected the waffling SOB to another three years.
Occupiers, wait out the cold weather and come back in the Spring, the Mayor welcomes ya.

  4. I was waiting for the global warming to kick in at the edmonton protest… Way I’ve ben told over the years that this would cause plagues of locusts to follow the drought.
Wonder what a frozen locust, dropping at about terminal velocity, feels like hitting a protesters head.
You just gotta know that the rain and slush in Van will turn the site into a sea of $hit, even more than it already si.

  5. Meanwhile, here in Toronto the Occupiers are awaiting tomorrow’s official ruling on whether they can remain in the park. I wouldn’t bet on the judge establishing a precedent so wide-open to abuse, and the Fleabaggers are starting to sound panicky. So is the Anglican church, which after months of enabling these scofflaws is now starting to say it won’t give them sanctuary if the judge rules against them:
    http://www.torontosun.com/2011/11/19/occupy-toronto-angry-with-church–and-the-sun
The liberal church has finally woken up and realized it doesn’t want these people camping out IN the cathedral….

  6. I listened to Mayor Robertson’s acceptance speech. He sounded and used words just like Obama did. Don’t people know he is paid and run by the Tides foundation from the US.

  7. The Phantom
Astroturf is viable as long as it is fed by new money…
    Triano
Tides Foundation has pushed big bucks into Canadian municipal elections…hell they won. Problem is they left a trail.
    Backtracking is easy.

  8. Perhaps it is time to make it a criminal offence to pay or accept any form of political donation from a foreign source.

  9. Had to attend an event in Vancouver yesterday and wandered by moonbat central. No-one appeared to be packing up. Saw a fire truck parked next to the tents but the firemen didn’t use high pressure water to clear the fleabaggers off the art gallery lawn, at least while I was there.
That this sort of BS is tolerated says a lot about Vancouver. The best part of the trip was when my flight took off for the interior of BC. I guess the other good part of the trip was taking the skytrain from downtown Vancouver to the airport for $2.50.
Hoping for a nice November blizzard in Vancouver to help move the moonbats back to their parent’s basements. Where I live it’s been below zero for a week and cold has a remarkable street clearing effect.

  10. Yeah, with temps like that, exposed skin freezes…never?
At least the Edmonton crowd is still out there. I’ll be turning on my electric blanket tonight

  11. It’s actually below freezing and has been pretty much all day. They’ll need chisels to get the stiffs out of the mud if this goes on.

  12. @Loki – several spokes-idiots have already gone public that they have no intention of complying with the injunction. Well, duh – isn’t this what it has been about all along? Now they get to squall about their rights being trampled, and if they fight peace officers (expect it) they get to add their favorite, “police brutality”.
Self-fulfilling zombie hive robot Marxist sock puppets.

  13. I would love to see trucks marked “Unknown Agency” show up, evict the squatters, with the explanation, “I cannot comment on this, we have an anonymous collective leadership.”
“But can you not at least tell us why?”
    “No, we have no agenda.”

  14. Well, the Edmonton Police won’t ‘intervene’ (their words) according to an Edmonton Journal article.
Private land with squatters, owner gives them an eviction warning, asks police to enforce the eviction, and the police don’t want to get involved (“Oh, why don’t you go to a mediator?”).
Would they want to intervene if someone just went and camped out on Mayor Mandel’s front lawn? How about if they just happened to #occupy a bank vault? No?
EPS: We’ll pretend we’re cops, but we’re really just here for the uniform and cool perks. Don’t ask us to do our jobs, though, the Union doesn’t like it.

  15. “Tides Foundation has pushed big bucks into Canadian municipal elections…hell they won. Problem is they left a trail. Backtracking is easy.”
Nothing will happen. Who will charge whom and with what. George Soros in the man at the top of Tides. Wanna go pick him up?
It’s pitiful how we are being bought and sold by evil men and we are all standing by watching it happen.

  16. From the Sun story [linked]:
“…. “If Jesus were here, he’d be in a tent…Given his values, I imagine he’d be walking with as, along with Allah and Buddha,”
Haha … someone doesn’t know their history.
Those you don’t remember their pasta are destined to reheat it.

  17. From a CBC tweet:
“Civil Lib Ass’ says “some inconvenience must be tolerated” to protect Charter. ”
    OK. I laughed. What can i say, I’m immature…

  18. The authorities should allow them a three-day reprieve, and we’ll see how many leave on their own by the end of it.

  19. “If Jesus were here, he’d be in a tent…Given his values, I imagine he’d be walking with as, along with Allah and Buddha,”
Jesus ordered his followers to obey the man.
“Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s”
Jesus did not believe in sharing the pulpit.
“Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

  20. I hope the occupiers come back in numbers twice as large next Spring.
We are entering perilous times, financially, and politically, and we are going to need exceptional people to lead. This is a good test of the resolve and integrity of our Leaders if they can rise to the challenge of enforcing the laws of the land in the face of civil disobedience.
So far, they have failed dismally. Imagine how these cowards would react if the occupiers weren’t a bunch of essentially harmless losers.
Every one of our Mayors has made Neville Chamberlain appear strong and resolute in comparison.
What in hell would they do in the face of a real challenge?
    Run, sh*t,or go blind?

  21. For those missed it, there really is a list of demands (just not at their official website), apparently passed to the CBC and downloadable here.
I guess I’d have to say my favorites are numbers 17, 22, 24, 27, 31, 34, 35, and 40, because together they comprise a perfect microcosm of stock Leftist cant in support of Jihad, environmental fear-mongering, and the intensely odious “give me all the luxuries I want and make someone else pay for them” mentality. But there are plenty of other gems of jaw-dropping idiocy too.
