I’ve wondered why they weren’t scheduling the evictions for early morning when the entitlement generation is sleeping it off. Looks like someone else thought the same thing – Occupy Oakland is being forcibly removed through joint action of Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and OPD forces.

Let’s give a moment of appreciation to the brave officers who are risking their olfactory nerves by wading in to the filth, stench of these vermin-ridden “commie towns” to remove this public pestilence and give the parks back to the cleaner more hygienic species that gathered nuts and lived in the trees them before this maelstrom of filth descended upon them. At least thepigeons only dumped on the statues.

Sometimes you just can’t tell somebody something.They have to experience it in order to affirm it. The proliferation of TB, VD and other STDs, coupled with assaults,rapes,suicides etc: will go a long way in doing this. Then the fact that they eat where they shit will help as well.
If all else fails, we will welcome winter and celebrate it’s cleansing qualities.
I don’t think we should deny them this vital learning experience.

It’s 52F/11C in Oakland as I write this. It just doesn’t get all that cold in Oakland (not that I’d want to be on the receiving end of the water cannon).
With so many communicable diseases in one spot, perhaps the CDC should have the place quarantined. 8ft. fence with razor wire aught to keep them in one spot. Joe Arapao could plan the menu and dress code. Jus’ sayin’.
I agree with Dick. Time (and nature) heals all wounds. Evicting them will only prolong the suffering by giving them something to battle.
These people are a plugging waiting to happen.
It would not have been bad if they had kept their areas clean & themselves hygienic. The city finally figured out that if any infections start to spread to the public even the rich & entitled are not safe.
I figure they don’t include typhoid plagues or cholera out breaks, in the school curriculum anymore.
proper hygiene is a none starter with this crowd.
Nothing says ” you’re leaving!” like a police sweep composed of elements from 4 police departments. OPD did this right.
