When I find see stories like this I am reminded of a Rememberance Day ceremony I attended as a young lad, performing in choir for the ceremony. I met a veteran of the second World War at this particular ceremony. He had lost a good portion of his left arm in a battle. He told me of laying in trench for, as he was told, about 6 1/2 hours with this bloody stump crudely bandaged. He couldn’t be sure of the time because he lost consciousness twice from the pain. He told me he lost many comrades in that battle and many friends in the war. Then I could see his eyes welling up as he told something I can never, ever forget especially when I see assinine stories such as this. He told me “…but they didn’t die for this.” Lest we forget.

You know its a wonder anyone serves anymore. I mean what are they defending except their families. Muslim expansionism, abortion rights, gay liberation, child sex, polygamy, massive welfare cons, Academic elitists who hate they Nation. A media more interested in calling them torturers or murderers.

Im not sure Canada is any better. My Grandfather was also a veteran of WW2. His great joy was going to the Legion to have a beer with 3 of his Vet. buddies twice a week. One day they told them they could no longer smoke in their Legion. They never went back and although the 4 would meet at their homes on a rotating basis the topic would often come up on what a bunch of pansies Canadians had become. When I told gramps that it was illegal to ride a bicycle without a helmet he would not believe me. By the time I told him pointed lawn darts were outlawed he said he was ready throw his medals into the garbage. He never did but he never forgave the “pansies” that in his opinion ruined the country he fought for. Grandpa might have been right.
