Like everyone else, I have no idea whether Herman Cain’s accuser is telling the truth. She says she is. He says she’s not. But one thing’s for sure, the way the media handles sex scandals COMPLETELY depends on the person’s political affiliation. For American politicians, I created this handy little flowchart to illustrate the mainstream media’s approach:

Well Mr Cain says there is not a ounce of truth to the allegations, which probably the weight of Ms Bialek’s skivvies.
By comparison this sort of alleged behaviour didn’t disqualify Bill Clinton, known philanderer.

This is the portrait that has started to emerge of the fourth woman to accuse Herman Cain of sexual harassment – the first to come out publicly.
Though her lawyer Gloria Allred painted a respectable and prestigious education and employment history for Sharon Bialek, 50, just a day later it has been revealed that she has not held a job for more than two years and has filed for bankruptcy twice.

I read somewhere that Bialek was seen just a month ago at a fundraiser/dinner/meeting or something giving Cain a bug hug because she hadn’t seen him in ages. Would a normal woman do that to a sexual predator that accosted her in the past?

Robert, may I suggest you go back to the drawing board and insert the spot where the Democrat is offered a position with the network. You might want to use the Eliot Spitzer case as a model.

Political polling, even that of the Republicans, consistently shows that Romney polls best among US voters against Obama. More seriously the Republican party is sitting by and allowing their best candidates to be destroyed, one by one. The Establishment wants Romney, and that’s who they will get, and Obama will win.
Don’t get me wrong, Romney is a good man. But if ever there was a time in history that American politics needed a complete shakeup it is now. Yet the candidates that could do that are being left alone on the battlefield, not in an attempt to weed the strong from the weak, but on purpose to let them get destroyed.

CNN has a “friend” of one of the accusers on. She’s a democratic strategist.
Today’s events raised the stakes enormously.
Cain established that only two interpretations are now possible.
Either he is the victim of a co-ordinated plot by political enemies to knock him out of the race, or, he is a psychopath who can lie without breaking a sweat.
Either way, he’s perfect for the job since his policies are better than Obama’s and if merciless psychopath, tie goes to the conservative.

If not, no matter the hypocrisy of how this is covered, he is gone from the race.
Right now, I cant say I think the first option is likely, he doesnt have much time and there are too many accusers (though his best hope is Bialek). If one more pops out with any credibility, even someone who claims an affair with him (consensual) then I fear it would be game set and match. In the future we will talk about being “Cained”.

The Great Republic already has begun the long descent into dynasticism. We had two rounds of Bushes, the Clintons, and the Undead Kennedys. If a nation succumbs to ruling families, the Republic of the founders is dead.
Want more? OK, the United States used to be a great nation where regardless of political affiliation all Americans could unify around a set of specific issues. That is no longer true, and environmental socialism is a large part of the reason. You can never build unity when environmental nihilism is part of the mix.

I disagree slightly. I think its more that a certain section of the political spectrum can’t get what they want in a free country. They look at Canada and Europe with those millions of government union jobs, those peon populations kept in check with invisible chains of entitlement and regulation, and they LIKE it.
People are stupid. They must be controlled. There is never too much control. There are never too many regulations or too many officials to implement them. Never. Just think teacher’s union. Would they monitor school kids at home with cameras if they could? Hell yeah.

Ok so on CNN they had one of the original politico’s source’s friends on with “democrat strategist” below her name. She said that her friend said Cain is a monster. Then later, Anderson Cooper asked another pundit “so do you think this could be a democrat smear campaign? And they said “oh no that’s ridiculus”. Gee Cooper, maybe you could have asked the “DEMOCRAT STRATEGIST” “friend” that question?

Phantom, interesting points, but I think you are underestimating the damage of environmentalism as a philosophy. Summed up, the unifying theme of the Great Republic has been “building a great nation”. The arguments between Democrats and Republicans were principally details over how that was to be done.
That’s all changed now. Environmentalism is nihilism. It doesn’t want to build anything. It wants to tear down much of what has already been built or done. The disagreements among environmentalists are principally how much to tear down.
Environmentalism and its nihilism have become a large part of the motivation of the Left. They don’t share the formerly unifying vision of building a greater nation. Their vision is one of diminishing or shrinking the nation and its people in what they deem to be ecologically “sustainable” ways. Everything is cast in terms of “Sustainable Development”, and this is the cancerous philosophy which is such a large part of the destruction of the unifying idea.
In its own way, Environmentalism is as socially destructive as Post Modernism. Both act as acids that corrode away the bonds that bring people together and unify them to a national purpose or goal.
