  1. Mcgreggor is typing out of his @ss.
First thing is the data he has is already “public” … the second is that he will NEVER do anything with it.
Want to have some fun with him?
Dig up as much personal information as you can on Mr. McGreggor and broadcast it on every web media venue you can find.

  2. And then there is eye’s rolling around in one’s head, nutty-to-the-max, gun-freakazoid paranoia.
Look. Sh!t happens. There are a million things that can go wrong during a broadcast, and often enough, something happens. It’s not like they’re Fox News where every time a Republican gets caught doing something skeevy, they mislabel him as a Democrat:
    http://intershame.com/on/Fox_News/?d=123
But hey… if this means you’ll lock yourself in your bunker out of fear that the mainstream media will roll the wrong tape, and then when they do quickly find the right tape, make a mistake with the audio in their haste, then by all means, believe what you must.

  3. Regarding the scum bag …. Is this not a betrayal of those people who were forced to pay to be listed, but desperately don’t want to be?
Isn’t that some sort of treasonous act …. if this publicly distributed list somehow causes those on that list to come to harm or some other sort of victimization such the theft of the listed property, undue harassment for being a gun owner etc.
    “Where there’s a list, there’s a risk” – Abe Froman 2011

  4. Well then, glad I didnt register any long guns. There, your access to bad information is incoplete. Goof!

  5. That is a crappy way to treat Dr. Langmann but I’m sure Tasha will get this straightened out…ahem…McGregor is a douche and this stunt is nothing more than the kind of hissy fit you would expect from a leftard statist. How hissy he gets will determine the seriousness of the consequences…

  6. I’m posting Glen’s headshot on my blog, should be up in a minute. Just in case any of y’all are in Ottawa and see him on the street…
He’s an ugly mutt too. Nice three-day beard Glen, hair needs some work though.

  7. I have no idea why the province on QC would want to keep the data. If I lived there, I would sell all my guns and buy different ones, then their data is even more totally useless. They can already make a pretty good guess that I probably own guns, since I have a gun permit and buy hunting licenses every year. Does it really matter that they also have a completely inaccurate list to go along with it. Either these people are so stupid they shouldn’t be allowed outside without an adult, or they think the rest of us are.

  8. The CTV technicsl crew (or managment)pulled a similar stunt in those tense days of the coaltion coup attempt in December 2008. After news spread of Dions laughably poor quality video stating his coalition case, I tuned in to CTV news to see the contrasting cases and video quality of Harper and Dion. But what I saw were both leader’s video to have poor quality… the CTV purposely distorted Harper to make Dion look better.
    Did anyone else notice this?

  9. “”But, personally, I find the destruction of any kind of government data utterly abhorent and contrary to the concept of open government.””
Ha ha ha that’s hilarious. SUCK!! BLOW!!
This McGregor turkey should be a weatherman.

  10. “But, personally, I find the destruction of any kind of government data utterly abhorent and contrary to the concept of open government.”
Really? So an “open government” is one which keeps a lot of tabs on everyone and never, ever forgets? Is “open” really the word he wants here?
Phantom – sort of “fat John Malkovich having a bad beard day”. You’re right, he’s just throwing a tantrum. He’ll back down right quick if he finds out there might be consequences.

  11. John said: “It’s not like they’re Fox News where every time a Republican gets caught doing something skeevy, they mislabel him as a Democrat”
No, CTV are more the usual type of news wankers that don’t post the party affiliation… unless its a Republican. Then they can’t shut up about it.

  12. Black Mamba said: “Phantom – sort of “fat John Malkovich having a bad beard day”. You’re right, he’s just throwing a tantrum. He’ll back down right quick if he finds out there might be consequences.”
Oh, I think its too late for that. I’d say the consequences are going to be kicking Glen’s ample posterior for some time to come. All I’m going to do is post his head shot, I’m sure other people will dig in there and do a lot more.
I’d do more but I have to hang drywall tomorrow, and I’m old and tired. Night!

  13. Considering that virtually all gun owners I know only registered the guns they’d be hunting with or shooting regularly, the registry list is absolutely useless. Also, I now have a revolver that doesn’t exist. Still have my old green registration papers from 25 years ago. When I had to re-register my pistols I got new registration cards for all but one. Maybe it’s going to show up sometime in the future as I allow the firearms registry 500X the wait time that I would allow any other organization as I assume that the same over-runs that they had with their costs apply to how long it takes them to do things. So, in 2053 I’ll give them a call if I haven’t gotten any registration papers for said revolver. AFAIK the old green registration forms are still valid, but the old RCMP database is probably as riddled with errors as the firearms registry.
While I normally am against the destruction of information, this is one case in which I’d be happy to assist in the process. Perhaps the government could make back some of the registry costs by auctioning off the disk drives and back up media with all of the firearms registry data to gun owners who would use said items for target practice. I would love the experience of putting round after round through a hard disk drive with the registry data on it and perhaps the whole event could be telecast to cause some hoplophobe head explosions.

  14. Some douche-bag named Momoko Price is praising this scumbag….so I asked her a simple Q….Riiiight. So when are u Lieberal hack “journos” gonna get working on ADSCAM, and Shawenigate, And the untouchable, not subject to the AG slush fund your guys set-up???? I won’t hold my bretah for an answer.

  15. The left continuously whines that “it was expensive to collect all that data, we should be able to have access to it”.
Yea, no kidding it was expensive, criminally so, the Liberals said it would cost 2 – 10 million dollars initially. It cost nearly 2 billion and counting! The whole registry was fraudulent from the beginning and be damned if you will justify the keeping of private and personal records on your fraudulent behaviour towards the Canadian taxpayer.

  16. Little Glenn is going to have a world of hurt in lawsuits to contend with if he keeps it up.
It sucks to be broke and stupid! Those gun records are useless, they always were really that’s why the Tories are scrapping them. The day after the registry is scrapped I’d hate to be at the back of the line at a gun store in Canada.
The fact that these morons can’t seem to get their head around, is probably less than half of all guns in Canada we ever registered to begin with. There has always been a thriving black market from the US, especially with Mohawk tribes & cigarettes, and nearly 500 firearms have disappeared from Police arsenals across the country in the last few years. Have you seen the latest on Police gun/ drug smuggling in the US?
Useless and stupid = Glenn + registry.

  17. Canadians had to register their long guns during WWII. After the war, the registry was done away with and all records destroyed because the existence of such information was deemed unacceptable in a democratic society. The government of the day was Liberal. My, how times have changed.

  19. Here’s me to Glenn on his website (awaiting moderation)
What’s wrong with the database Glenn?
I’m waiting to download and see if my personal information is on it to sue you if need be. Otherwise I’ll definitely be throwing in money to help out whoever is. I can afford it, I hope you can too.

  20. the long gun registry has so many errors in it to be unreliable, say in a court of law. The remaining registry of Restricted and Prohibited is going to be just as unreliable.
Does anyone remember the Wpg. family rousted from their beds at 6a.m., handcuffed and placed into police cars as squads of officers searched for a handgun which they had never owned.
Those who purchased handguns were most often target shooters, who especially in the wintertime, liked some indoor shooting practice or competitions like PPC, IPSC or even muzzleloading pistols of the old flint or caplock design from the early 19th Century.
The Liberals declared 55% of the then registered Restricted handguns to be prohibited and later requested re-registration of that 1,000,000 plus database. They also added a bunch of rifles and shotguns to those lists.
The result is another dog’s breakfast.
Now a government that won’t trust a citizen with a handgun of say 200 ft/lbs of energy wants us to believe it will trust us with a rifle of 10 or 15 times the power. Yeah, right!
All they have to do is continue to arbitrarily add to the prohibited/restricted list, one by one all the remaining rifles and shotguns, which the Conservatives are leaving wide open for the Liberals/NDP to do whenever they return to power.
There is no objective criteria required for adding to the list of Restricted/Prohibited weapons. This is why your great grandfathers grain flail in the list along with machine guns and pepper spray(only if it has the wrong label).
The prohibited handguns, are the smaller framed, less powerful ones that easily fit into the hands of women and the elderly. After all what is easily concealed for a 5ft. 2inch 110lb woman isn’t the same as what a 6ft 230 lb man can conceal. After all it’s the elderly and women who are most vulnerable in home invasions.
Meanwhile the RCMP will still call and threaten people who have inadvertently allowed their 5 yr. renewable firearms licence to lapse. A radio show caller told how that had recently happened to him.
The CPIC database will still bring up P.A.L. records indicating a “red flag” to police who stop or call up a name or driver licence number.
That’s the “yellow star”(jizya) of the system.

  21. I find this whole exchange on the LGR rather comical. It’s as if the registry had any value whatsoever. We all know it was useless from day one and other than employ a shitload of civil servants and make Alan Rock look like the true idiot he was , it simply had no value. I mean , it only cost a couple billion dollars (so far) but a billion here and a billion there and pretty soon you are talking real money.
This was a law made for urban Toronto and Vancouver (and of course all of Quebec ). Not for people with common sense like the rest of Canada.

  22. Glen has no idea of what this Country wants. Only Toronto fascists in Marxist drag.
For guys like him having a government monitor in every house , except his of course, is a wet dream.
I have news for yeah Glen. Most people in Alberta lied about their guns. There was a lot of burying going on when this Useless expensive lied about costs. Registry was forcefully instituted by a lying government, with smaller numbers than this one. instituted. You lost you soother, now you want to crap on everyone. Your list is useless.
As for Journalists besides some who have brought the shame of Caledonia up, you progressives continue to live in la la land.Stand as grand hypocrites & sore losers. Maybe like Mandel in Edmonton you want a knife registry as well?

  23. “But, personally, I find the destruction of any kind of government data utterly abhorent and contrary to the concept of open government.”
Doesn’t ‘open government’ preclude a ‘registry’ pertaining to it’s citizens in the first place?

  24. A friend of mine died a criminal as he never registered his rifles. Now he is exonerated.
I think the idiot trying to keep the data from the list is opening himself up to a lot of lawsuits for keeping the private information of other people on his computer. It would be poetic justice if he was also charged with misappropriating government information.

  25. I assume Jim Roscoe, who killed the 4 Mounties, showed up as having no guns. Who wants to rely on such information? A cop has to assume that everyone could be armed. End of story.

  26. @ scar
And they do. It,s only the Police Chiefs that never like to lose out to the logical public that see any value in the LGR. It’s a power trip they feel entitled to.

  27. tom@drum has the idea. Non registrants have the last laugh: Allen ROCK @CHANCELLOR AT WHATEVER ARSEHOLE WHO’L TAKE HIM.try ANOTHER.SPHINCTER BOY
ALLEN…. KEEP LOOKING OVER YOUR SHOULDERS,shithesd.

  28. A couple of comments:
    1. Why does our newsmedia insist on generic terms like “guns” and “firearms”? Very misleading; there will still be all kinds of controls on HANDguns. This is the sort of factual imprecision* in their reporting that drives me nuts.
    2. If Québec wants the registry records, I see no problem with that (a province can create its own registry if it wants – though it would be patently asinine in my view). However, the only records it should receive are those for residents of Québec. The firearms held by Canadians living outside the province of Québec are not within its purview. And of course, Québec should pay the Federal government for all the costs involved in preparing that Québec-resident-only list. Hopefully, some clerk in Ottawa will have already pressed that DELETE ALL key though.
    * It’s lose-lose for them. If it’s imprecision resulting from general cluelessness, the media looks amateur. If it’s deliberate imprecision, the media looks manipulative. My view? A combination of both.

  29. “It,s [sic] only the Police Chiefs that never like to lose out to the logical public that see any value in the LGR. It’s a power trip they feel entitled to.”
I have considerable respect for our police chiefs but I would not want to live in a world where they had their own way all the time.
Technocrats always believe the world would run far better if their particular expertise were given full licence.
Imagine if our country were run entirely by lawyers.
    Oh wait…

  30. Already erased from the scumbag’s site.
    Warning: swear word
“But, personally, I find the destruction of any kind of government data utterly abhorent and contrary to the concept of open government.”
Well if that’s your personal opinion then go ahead and kill some kids for your blind worship of the STATE. What’s a few dead punks; you have to be true to your high morals? Oh, and that old possession charge you had expunged from your record, mere trifle.
The best you can hope for is that you go to jail for just stealing my personal information and NOT being an accessory to some kid with his guts blown all over a living room wall because you posted an on-line shopping list for your fellow pieces of shit.
    Go Journalism!

  31. These lefty hacks own the MSM and care nothing for anything but their own personal agendas.
    Fact:
    – 1/3 of homicides in Canada are with a firearm (2/3 are not).
    – Of the firearm homicides approximately 60% are with a handgun (handguns have ALWAYS been registered).
    – Of the firearm homicides most are gang related, particularly imported ethnic gang related, a problem easily solved save for Liberalism and multiculturalism.
Canadians have always been perfectly safe without undo regulations from firearms. The Liberal left has created the problems in urban centers with drugs, welfare and the importation of the third world.
These lefty loons would have no issue walking the streets at night chewing granola bars in any gun owning suburb or rural community in Canada today, but they would have a problem walking through many “inner city” neighbourhoods of their own creation. The problem is obviously NOT guns or regulating them, crime rates and homicides fall on the shoulders of the liberal left, who have introduced and nourished criminal lifestyles.
Canadians need to protect ourselves from this ever increasing degradation of our society by the left. We will one day find ourselves very much like Liberal California is today, broke and under siege.

  32. This disgusting little media turdball WILL be criminally charged and prosecuted then sued. Guarnateed.

  33. BTW CTV has proven they are scummy partisan propagandists with an even lower ethical degeneracy than CBC (if that is possible) Complete swine!

  34. I wonder if Glen McGregor carries a pair of handcuffs, so that he can perform a citizen’ arrest on those who displease him?
Should a man so filled with agression be a writer for a newspaper called ” The Citizen “? He is much more Der Sturmer, or Daily Klansman material.
