What? There’s no Portuguese? They’ve got Tamil and not Portuguese? Do you have to occupy an elevated highway to get any respect in this province? Leaving aside the inappropriateness of producing a campaign document in languages other than English and French, what exactly does Tim Hudak have against the Luso-Ontarian community? Did his cleaning lady abscond with the silverware?..
He’s also not best pleased with the Ontario PC’s election platform (which for some reason in not titled Changebook)–read all about it, esp fans of e. e. cummings.
Sitting here in Ontario, and watching Hudak completely fail as a leader, and contemplating the thought of McGuinty for 4 more years….
A log could have beaten McGuinty this election. Everyone hates him. But Hudak completely wasted teh 2 years after he became leader, remaining invisible the whole time, and completely failed to enunciate any kind of platform or message.
I’ve not seen such a weak leadership performance, and such weak political organization in the last 20 years in Ontario or Federal politics.
It’s worse than John Tory’s performance.
Just pathetic.
If I could move west, I would.

I think that the question as to whether some members
of the PC in Ontario have been bought by Liberal supporters needs to be
addressed.
As for neglect of the Luso-Canadian community,
how about the neglect of the Welsh-Canadian community? At least the Scots have their damned
bagpipes (the Welsh bagpipes are better) and kilts.

I was contemplating returning to Ontario in the near future but it seems like the Tories are doing everything to help McSquinty finish killing the province. The lieberal village idiot is worse than Prez zero.

These are folks who ask for no entitlements, harbour no grievances and have come to Canada over several generations for the simple chance to work their butts off and succeed.
Which they have done – and which they continue to do. Model citizens, my friends.

Given my description of them above, Portuguese Canadians are just the kind of people the dim old Ontario Tories ought to be courting.
