A Preview of President Zero’s Speech

At the beginning of Barack Obama’s reign, we were told by his sycophants in the mainstream media and other devotees in his Leftist Cult that he was The One, that he stands above the country, and that he is the smartest person to ever assume the U.S. presidency.
Almost 3 years later, reality won out over the hype. Reality sucks, eh?! After wasting trillions of dollars of borrowed taxpayer money, after burdening the American economy with an endless stream of disastrous statist/socialist policies, after fueling a class war & race war throughout the nation, now Obama & his minions are likely to do what dishonorable failed people always do: blame someone else.
John Batchelor and New York Representative Nan Hayworth provide a preview of what they expect to see in tonight’s speech. Thanks to Obama & co. 2012 will be one of the most divisive in America’s history. And the entire time, the leaders of China will sit back and be laughing.
Ezra Levant has a good summary of Barack Obama’s duplicitous track record. Might this evening finally be the moment in history when he finally embraces the “great conciliator” role we were promised he’d fill?

  1. The “the smartest person” page wouldn’t load properly for me (XP & Firefox) but the print version did:

And remember these are the same people who reported as fact that Bush was literally a moron but then quietly buried this once his Air Force equivalent to an IQ test revealed that he was more intelligent (slightly as I recall) than Kerry’s Navy equivalent to an IQ test score had shown Kerry to be.

  2. Might this evening finally be the moment in history when he finally embraces the “great conciliator” role we were promised he’d fill?
It might, just as the San Francisco 49ers might win all their games this year. I’d give the two events approximately the same probability.

  3. I’ve never been that impressed with IQ. Success often requires smarts, but attitude, common-sense, hard work, persistence, experience, and a host of other factors are at least as vital.
Some people are even crippled by a high IQ, for it encourages them to neglect these other keys to success.

  4. Does that mean the “Obama-Nation(tm)” is ‘too clever by half’?
I scored ‘extremely high’ in military aptitude but what does that do to feed my family?
Is it inimical to politicians to be a ‘straight shooter’?
Well of course they might get “Fast and Furious”, but this ususally backfires.

  5. A case could be made for Obama’s deliberate ruin of America or his incompetence. Either way, it is the American electorate who either insanely voted for him or who didn’t vote for him who suffer. As with any speech, Obama campaigns. He excuses himself, pats himself on the back or just says nothing with a whole lot of words.
The Republicans have their work cut out for them in repairing the nation.

  6. It is a perennial weakness of American liberals that they think themselves considerably smarter than conservatives.
And so they just can’t figure out why these right-wing troglodytes regularly kick their butts during elections. Must be the voters are stupid too.
The obvious explanation – that liberals aren’t as smart and conservatives aren’t as dumb as the Dems think they are – doesn’t seem to occur.

  7. Us troglodytes resemble that remark.
Imagine, believing we know better than total strangers how to spend our own money.
    How stupid is that?

  8. Yes, Robert, reality does suck. It really, really does.
I’m watching the NFL because I already know what the President is going to say:
-“Some say (insert pointless, stupid phrase that absolutely no one would say), but I say (insert pointless, stupid phrase that absolutely no one should say).
-“Bush’s fault”, “Inherited problem”, or “Congress’s failure to act.” (Can be used interchangeably.)
-“Now let me be clear,” which is immediately followed by something that is not even remotely clear to anybody.
    -“Infrastructure and high-speed rail.”
-“Stimulus!” (Sorry, Nancy P says the S-word is verboten) “Investment!!”
    -“Bi-partisan.”
-“ummmmm….ummmm….ummmmm….” (Ok, this will only happen if the teleprompter goes on the fritz.)
    Did I miss any?

  9. Might this evening finally be the moment in history when he finally embraces the “great conciliator” role we were promised he’d fill?
    Not likely!!!

  10. Great conciliator my furry white butt.
Obama is strikingly more partisan than Bush during his speeches. He’s fond of unpresidential cheap shots even as he’s attempting to negotiate with Republicans, which strikes me as self-defeating.

Here at Chez Phantom its about 6:30pm, half an hour before The One speaks. I’m going to have to go with Revnant Dream and say “not a f-ing chance.”
Tonight will be 1) QE III, he already leaked that part. Everyone gets a pony.
    2) blame the Republicans, duh.
    3) vote for Me. For I am The One. Duh.
    4) a bunch of disinformation and possibly some flat-out, bald faced lies. Double duh.
    5) tax hikes. Duh cubed.
My feeeeeling is that we will see whatever over-seas stock markets are open this time of day start to tank while he talks.

  12. Obama’s speech, done in Obama cadence:skittely boobop, triddely dee, let’s all run to the coconut tree. Now back to the football game.

  13. O/T.
Will MSM bring this up at O’TOTUS’ post-speech photo-op?
Dole is not Robert Dole, is it? ’cause O was born in Hawaii, no?
    …-
    “The Solar Dole”
“Learning nothing from the Solyndra crackup and the many other green-energy failures, the White House, also last week, handed out an $852 million loan guarantee to the Genesis Solar Project in California.”

  14. President Zero.
Looks like the right has a bad case of Obama Derangement Syndrome. Apparently its the Bush Derangement Syndrome for the right wing fringe.

  15. Talk like an Alinski-Jackson hybrid – act like a Wall Street whore – Then deny everything by wrapping yourself in the flag and playing the race card.
    Pure political sewage.

  16. America survived four years without a president (Jimmy Carter) before.
I vividly recall the celebrations the night America decided not to have a president … and his supporters crowing ‘this is the end of capitalism.’
Today, it appears the vision of a marxist utopia is on its death throes. With the welfare state collapsing in Europe, America will survive again.
They took their first steps last November and will complete the job in November, 2012 when the will of the people will be heard once again … loud and clear.
