Call me a traditionalist, but doesn’t something seem just wrong with Christmas cards being sold in August?

Does that make it 2018 AD? Looks like we dodged that 2012 Mayan thing nicely.
The Chinese and North Korean gulags may have cracked the whip to speed up shipments of Holiday Cards and trimmings.
Don’t want to get stuck with filling contracts in Obama pesos WTSHTF.
The old saying about Costco still holds true if not as much as in the old days:
“If you see something you will need, buy it now because it may not show up again for a year if ever.”
Remember a truck full of big snow throwers showing up at the Costco
about this time last year but they didn’t push them on the floor till later.
‘I buy my calendars in late January‘. Really? You actually buy calendars?
And do you only opt for ripe bananas?
In an attempt to offset the distaste-full commercial side to Christmas, I wonder if anyone experiences this:
Ever notice local traffic on Christmas eve, and Christmas day? In our small town…… NOTHING.
After 4:00, or maybe 6:00 everyone is home and snuggled in. You could cartwheel (in the snow)down mainstreet and never meet a vehicle.
MAGIC!

No. I find bananas disturbingly phallic.
Sometimes people give me calendars as gifts, but people who aren’t me often have very questionable taste. I tend to prefer to take my chances with the reject bin at Chapters.
One can make one’s own calendar, of course; it takes a lot of work.
