What We Really Need Is Democracy

With a party of Jew-hating totalitarians to vote for;

On Thursday, a team of 15 to 20 armed al-Qaeda terrorists (members of the Palestinian Popular Committees, an al-Qaeda affiliate) snaked through tunnels from Gaza to Sinai. From there, they hiked 200 kilometers over land, either ignored or facilitated by Egyptian army forces. They were thus able to sneak into Israel through the porous border at Eilat — porous because Israel has not needed to worry much about its Egyptian border for the last 30 years.
At around noon, the terrorists took up positions along the highway and opened fire at buses and cars. One detonated a suicide belt. In all, eight Israelis were killed and 30 more wounded. The terrorists shot to death a family of four who were just out driving in their car — father, mother, and their 6- and 4-year-old kids (“resistance” against the “occupiers,” as Islamists like to say). Barry Rubin counts this as al-Qaeda’s first successful terrorist attack against Israel.
From here, the story gets more frightful.

Read the whole thing. But hey, how ’bout that Libyan thing!

  1. In a hotel in Ottawa for the upcoming week. No Fox but CNN of course. Obama is “on top of everything going on in Libya despite being on vacation”. No word about Egypt or Israel.

  2. Quick, my union brothers and sisters! All aboard the Sea-Hitler II! Al-Qaeda is requesting another flotilla of reinforcements! For the children, etc!

  3. I think this should fall under the category of “Is There Nothing That Obama Can’t Do?”. He threw Mubarak under the bus, after all.

  4. This Egypt run by terrorrist thing is succeeding even better than oblabla’s greatest dreams.
Killing impure of race four and six year olds, wow, he did not even need to build any ovens!
This can only get better, with the true hate beards taking over all the neighbouring countries soon.
Jimmy Carter, eat your heart out, obambi has you beat by far. You just hug murderous terroritsts, obambi puts them in charge of whole countries, and lends them the US Air Force to do so.

  5. I’d like to see the various scenario’s where the USA could have or should have “saved” Mubarrak? For a site that has been antsy about US involvement – no matter how limited – in Libya it boggles the mind to consider what would have been required to maintain Mubarrak Egypt. Shouldn’t the USA be out of the dictator supporting business?
Jimmy Carter eh? Well he did broker the treaty that meant 30 years of peace on the border. But why look at the facts when you can slander?

  6. *Jimmy Carter eh? Well he did broker the treaty that meant 30 years of peace*
    Jimmy Carter-
gave us 444 days of hostages in Iran.
After Iran spit in the face of Carter they gave the world the Iran-Iraq war,
    Million dead and wounded..
Then Iran gave us the attack on Kuwait-
    First Gulf War.
Then they gave us suicide bombers and hundreds of dead Marine brothers in Lebanon..
    Yeah, Jimmy Carter legacy-
Iranian nuclear bombs and suicide bombers with 76 virgins…

  7. Before the Carter Presidency, Afghanistan was a functioning nation, then President Weak Knees was shocked, shocked that the Soviets rolled in their and brought the chaos that reigns to this day.
But don’t let a minor incident interfere with your hagiography of Jimmeh.

  8. I doubt it was al-Qaeda terrorists, at all.
It looks more like Hamas and Hezbolah, trying to divert U.N. attention away from the daily murder being committed in Syria.

  9. Andycanuck.
Not off topic, this is a readers post area.
Sad to read, just saw it. Hope Mr. Harper had a chance to speak with him about his death and the afterlife, aka, getting right with the Lord.
    Now I’m off topic 😉

  10. Will the “Arab Spring” that brings self-rule to savages finally put an end to the myth that it’s their democracy that makes America a great nation?

  11. Never have I seen a people so predisposed to social unrest, mass suicide and genocide. Their choices in social order and statecraft are detestable. We (the west) should pull right out of the ME and stop trying to police a pathologically suicidal people. Let the Israelis put the 300 nukes we gave them, to good use.

  12. I wonder how smug the global liberal media will be when Alquacka takes control of Libya and commences to slaughtering anyone not Muslim enough for them?

  13. I thought this was all about “demmocracy”? Bringing democracy to the middle east?
So apparently Al Quida, Hezbolla, are the new democrats.
Allah Akbar! to all democrats and free people of the world.

  14. Right on Rose. Personally I’m wondering how long it’s going to take the liberals to make the connection between their whining and the asinine pacifist-inspired rules of engagement which make our guys lose in these butt-hole wars.
WWII ROE would be a bit more effective, I’m sure. No need to go with the Soviet “kill everything” method.

  15. I’ve found organized Stalinist hiring activities in HRM. The combined cells have a lower limit of 12-36 individuals controlling 100-200 employees. Not much higher or be public. P.Martin’s flags were $3M wasted of $13M. Lower limit is $3.5M in annual revenues with waste. Mentally ill forward men are being rewarded with jobs and shy men are fighting in libraries. I’ve been hired every summer since 15 but this one until applied at 2 out of town employers (so nothing personal).
I’m 100% Supertemp knows what is going on. A girl waited for me at bus at end of temp strip, and applied when I did in Apr. A.Chapman at Supertemp said is friend (not on facebook). I came back with Lindts, not hired. I’m 90% sure K.Randell knows what is up even though just walked 3.5 hrs to apply. She told me to “enjoy the day” (go to bar). A bald chubby guy called me a loser in parking lot, letting me know I wouldn’t get hired. I’ve applied at Kelly’s, Manpower, Spherion, since Apr without word from beauties. Drake sent me to commune; red herring. Adecco offered job. Applied at Atlantic in July. Universal in Aug. I wanted to longshore and estimate ease of nuke-smuggling but drug testing.
Not to many peopel can afford to lose $1M/yr. Irving’s are RW-allied if anything but aren’t speaking out about labour force degradation. I’d guess Russia (they use women) money envelopes after hours. Then I’d guess some sort of transfer payment objective is being filled with bribes. Then I’d guess a local rich person thinks Stalinism is better than baby bonus.
The Universities need to know to move away if not clubbing. Out-of-town, maybe out of Maritimes, managers and employees, would fix this (help for them to intern in Prairies). Hiring for dock positions is presently compromised; not merit based. Keep National Defense assets away from Communist hotbeds. Watch that Three Pawns Gambit Mr. Putin, and develop early 20’s defensemen.

  16. “Here’s a quibble: With the current US administration, it isn’t just enemies of Israel at the UN, it is the UN that is the enemy.”
I thought this comment,at the link, was worth reposting.
If I ever meet the gentleman who decided to borrow the “Spring” phrase,I shall throttle the sonofabitch.
There are machinations going on in the ME which I hope to hell our fearless leader,Pres.Obama,is on top of,in intelligence.
The whole “Spring Thing” is no coincidence, and whether it’s being orchestrated by radical Muslims or the Iranian secret service with help from the KGB,the result in each Nation is unlikely to be to the benefit of the West.
It appears there were too many “moderate” dictators in the ME,and someone was dissatisfied with that fact, and has worked diligently to foment revolution all across the ME. It is the responsibility of the Prez to know the enemy, and to counteract their actions.
My own twisted theory, which hasn’t yet been peer-reviewed; Putin,in concert with Ahmadinejad,is behind the Arab (GAG) Spring, with the intention of doing to the financially strapped U.S., under a weak President, what President Reagan did to the Soviet Union, namely, defeat them economically by forcing them to extend their military commitments beyond their capability to pay for it.
Now,if only Obama will commit to troops in Syria.
I’ll run this by Hadley CRU before I mention it though.

  17. An interesting development….the scuttlebutt is that there is an ongoing fire-fight between these palestinian militants and the Eygptian Army.
Perhaps an attempt by the Eygptian Army to gain plausable deniability re the attacks on Isreal.
Or evidence of an impending civil war in Eygpt…

  18. I loathed his politics but admired the fact he acted on what he believed to be right. Like him or not, his tenacious pluck will be missed in the public debate.

There will be celebrations in Martha’s wine-garden today! Glen Beck outlined this ‘plot’ months ago on his show. It is all going according to plan…and the rest of the world and Americans wonder why this stranger in the Whitehouse has ‘no plan’ for the terrifying conditions in the economy/society; he has a plan, all right, and it is manifesting itself as the days go by. America is crumbling, people know it is; yet, they foolishly, repeatedly ask the question about the president’s plan – it is right before their eyes!
I pray for the people of Israel.

  20. Osumashi Kinyobe >
“Yes, why not give these murdering thugs a state?”
Why not, it’s not like it’ll be some icky capitalist state or anything else remotely as evil.
Hamas and EGAL can hold hands dancing in Toronto’s streets in victory all over again.

(JPost) — Australia on Tuesday joined the growing ranks of Western nations that have decided to boycott the so-called Durban III conference set to take place at the United Nations headquarters next month.
Canberra announced it would not take part in the tenth anniversary commemoration of the Durban World Conference on Racism citing concern it would be exploited by Israel’s foes and focus unfairly on the Jewish State.
“Australia remained involved in the early stages of consultation on the High Level meeting in order to oppose attempts to endorse extreme language or explicit references to the text of the Durban Declaration,” a spokesperson for Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard said. “But we have not been convinced that the High Level Meeting will avoid unbalanced criticism of Israel and the airing of anti-Semitic views.
So far six countries — the US, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic and Israel — have said they would not partake in the event named after the original 2001 gathering in South Africa. That conference was heavily criticized by Israel and the U.S. for focusing on the Jewish State. A subsequent conference dubbed Durban II which took place in Switzerland in 2009 was boycotted by a coalition of Western Nations and included a large walkout during a speech delivered by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The American Jewish Committee on Tuesday lauded the decision and called on other nations to follow suit.
